Lovely big rooms with tea and coffee making facilities, a big, comfortable bed (my friends also said their twin room was very nice), good bathroom, nice temperature room and great breakfast. Plenty of space to hang clothes. Lots of plug sockets and USB ports by the bed and in other places. Able to turn lights on/off from bed. Fresh milk on arrival and also in the morning for our hot drinks. Very friendly staff. Lots of parking. Nice shower gel and body lotion.
Being able to park by the room would have been ideal in a more secure location (my friends had bikes on a trailer but they were ok fortunately). Shampoo and conditioner would have been ideal but no issue as decided not to wash my hair anyway due to the hairdryer not working.

Stayed in this hotel as a very last minute booking, arrived around 8.30pm, was unsure at first as the photos don't do this hotel Justice, it is a quaint hotel Just on the outskirts of Newton Abbott. the backdrop is surrounded by hillside. the room was like a small bungalow with everything that i needed, including parking. the food was exceptional. The team in the pub was very friendly, professional and tentative. they could not do enough to make you welcome. I would highly recommend this place to stay as it has a number of different options like glamping tents, motor home hook up single one storey bedrooms of all sizes.
There is nothing that I seen to improve, but as I was travelling for work the breakfast time was at 8am, maybe make it from 7am for those staying who have to work at 8am as I would have liked to try the breakfast.

Clean and modern room and bathroom. Nice complimentary bath products and hot drinks. All staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make you feel at home. Plenty of parking. Every meal we had was exceptional. Big portions of really great tasting food served with a smile.
Unfortunately during our stay the sewage pit was being emptied into a lorry and a the smell in our room in morning was so bad it made us feel sick. Maybe wait until guests have vacated the rooms. It was noisy in room 2 during early hours with cars leaving the campsite, heard slamming doors and engines at 4am. Got woken up by noise a few times but not hotels fault. The bed was a little hard for my liking but that's personal preference.

The breakfast and the dinner were excellent and helpings were generous. It was lovely to have fresh milk on the doorstep in the morning and on arrival and it was so helpful to have a taxi ordered for departure. The staff were cheerful and extremely helpful. The bed was very comfortable . The ambience of the Inn was convivial and inviting.
It was slightly chilly in the room at night and I missed not having the option of a bath. I hadn’t appreciated that the Inn was in a relatively isolated location, although the stay felt convivial with plenty of visitors.

We stayed in room 2 and it was more than I'd hoped for. So spacious, huuuuge bed, very clean, beautifully decorated, fantastic bathroom. Wish our stay had been longer. Would have loved to explore the gorgeous local area as well. Definitely coming back. Breakfast was delicious (vegan option) and the bar/restaurant area clean and well decorated and somewhere I could spend a lot of time! Staff were so friendly and we loved our stay.
Unfortunately our room was nearest the back of the kitchen, so we were woken up by the bin collection coming, which was right outside our window and there was a lot of noise.

Staff very friendly and courteous. Food generally good, breakfast excellent. Think perhaps very little salt used in the cooking leading to not very flavourful meals, contentious maybe, can’t please all the people all the time, just my take on it. Minor point, could’ve been given a bit more guidance on how the barrier works for people wanting to park nearer the accommodation, I was in room 2. Overall a pleasant stay, would I stay again…..definitely !
Difficult to navigate from bed to bathroom in the middle of the night. Couldn’t access Wi-Fi initially because didn’t put capital letter D in the password.

I stayed here in room One over Christmas as I had friends staying in their motorhomes in the adjacent Caravan park. We ate at the pub a couple of times which was good. I was able to park my car outside the room I was staying in which helped with luggage etc. Wifi strength was very good during my stay. The room was lovely, well insulated and toasty warm and nicely decorated. There was a hanging space with shelving as well as a small table under the television. Kettle, coffee, tea etc and a hairdryer all provided, and you could request an iron. The TV was a large flat screen TV. The shower was strong and hot, a lovely walk-in shower, and the towels were large and appeared very new. My room was very clean when I arrived. Heating was via the towel rail in the bathroom and a large radiator in the bedroom but the towel rail heated the room as well so I kept the radiator off for most of the time. My bed was very large and very very comfortable. I slept better than I do at home. The Inn provided cold milk every morning for tea and coffee throughout the day. I last stayed here in 2019 and was as happy with my stay this time as I was back then. If you are looking for somewhere to stay where friends can also stay in their caravans and motorhomes, then this Inn is ideal. While the pub was closed on Christmas and Boxing nights we were able to make use of the small sheds in the grounds of the pub to meet together and play silly board games. We had an excellent time and will hopefully return.
It was all good

Lovely pub and a great atmosphere. Modern country interior, plenty of outdoor space to chill on sunny days. Loved that the staff delivered fresh milk at7.30am for teas and coffees every day.
Located on a main road which was busy at certain times of day. Didn’t make any difference to our accommodation as it’s at the rear of the pub. Just mattered when eating outside at these times.

How nice to unexpectedly find this hidden gem. A lovely pub with annex like rooms. The rooms were beautifully furnished and decorated. The bed was big and very comfy. Dinner and breakfast were of very high quality. The staff were very helpful and attentive. A lovely touch was that I was asked before going to the room if I wanted a small bottle of fresh milk. This beats the long life rubbish in most hotels when you crave a nice cup of tea. Overall a great stay!
The only thing, which is no fault of the pub/hotel, is getting back on the A38 towards Exeter, is a bit of a trek.

Absolutely beautiful! So many little touches that made a huge difference - milk delivered to doorstep each morning, tea, coffee, loo rolls, toiletries etc topped up daily, beds made, bathroom cleaned daily. Very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Staff really friendly and accommodating. Amazing food in the restaurant. Well maintained grounds.
Nothing to dislike!
