Very helpful and friendly staff. Couldn’t do enough for you. As the weather was really bad on the morning that we left we asked if they could phone for a taxi. There were no taxis available at that time that the manager took us to the station and would not take any money and even took our cases into the station itself. Breakfast was very good as well. Would go there again

There was absolutely nothing to complain about. It was certainly good value for money. It would have been nice if they did evening meals as well. That would be the icing on the cake

The staff at this property were fantastic especially Alex at reception who always tried his best to accommodate our needs (very polite & helpful) & Manday who cleaned the rooms & tried her best to sort out any technical issues with the rooms eg plumbing & other minor issues, I always found her really helpful & pleasant to chat to.

The kettle in my room wasn't clean, I had to spend significant time attempting to clean it before deciding to use it, it did put me off from boiling water in it for a cuppa.

Very helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. As an independent traveller I appreciated being able to opt in for meals from day to day depending on how I felt. Very good location for town & lots of buses close by, to town & many other towns & places of interest.

I have been twice to Sandy Lodge - mattresses on both occasions well worn (springs sticking out) had to lie on folded blanket. It is understandable after a long season with many people having used the beds but would just like to make my booking whenever they replace the mattresses!! Didn't like being in bedroom with a bath as I am elderly & wasn't sure I would be able to get out of it, once in. Again I am understanding of the fact that I asked for a change of room nearer the lift & apparently room 230 was the only one available. Just a shame it had a bath rather than a shower but I managed - but with difficulty.

I have stayed at the Sandy Lodge 3 times now. Every time any staff you meet have smiles on their faces and are very polite, also very helpful. The rooms are of a good size and very clean. Unfortunately the bar did not open this time I stayed as had a few problem. Over all I would highly recommend this hotel. No thrills and spills. If you looking for that go pay through the nose and stay at the Hilton. I would like to thank all the staff at the Sandy Lodge for a lovely few days !!!

The room was lovely and tidy and the hotel itself was clean. The breakfast was superb and great value for money. Most of the the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The beds were very comfy we had really good nights sleep.

The bathroom was quite grubby and needed a good deep clean the water pressure on the shower was awful and trying to get our refreshments stocked was a pin due to the mini cartons of milk being off so I bought my own from the shop.

The staff are okay, friendly and gives you warm reception

People are smoking 🚬 behind the bedroom I stayed and I can smell the smoke, that makes me slightly uncomfortable

Close to pharmacy and tesco express, convient for most beaches by foot, town is just a 15min walk away, the view from cliff tops just 10 min walk. Bus stops pretty much just outside hotel. Fabulous, friendly helpfully staff, house keeping, above and beyond for me, thank you. Great price for a bank holiday week, I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

The spa wasn't open due to covid

The breakfast was great! Traditional English breakfast bit worth it for the amount paid.

Room appear to have thin walls. You can literally hear people walking outside and the music from downstairs.

The changes - rooms updated. Mattress new rather than 'twanging' when used.

Loss of kitchens & meals. Room was VERY small, but I obviously knew it was a single, & I did manage tho. finding somewhere for even my small suitcase was quite difficult.

Excellent location with free parking. Everything needed in room and en-suite. Excellent evening entertainment. Welcoming and friendly staff. Handled local power cut which affected the hotel, in a calm and professional manner ensuring all guests were informed and safe.

Toilet roll holder and towel rail poorly positioned in room 110. It was hard to reach towels over the toilet. Toilet paper hard to reach as opening to the front at arms length. A few more tea bags would have been appreciated in the room.
