Mullion Cove Hotel & Spa

This hotel has a rare quality to it, created by its location, the space, decor and facilities-a very special place indeed. However, it's the staff who deserve the recognition and accolade of making our holiday so very memorable. They are an exceptional team of friendly, approachable, dedicated and knowledgeable people. Nothing is too much trouble and they welcomed us so genuinely and warmly; this continued throughout our week's stay. If you are able to, go and experience it for yourself.

Nothing could be better.

What a great hotel in a perfect location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Katie made us feel right at home. Rooms are a good size and comfortable with a great sized bathroom. Step in Bath Shower was a tad difficult with knee issues but the non-slip bathmat and handles helped. Breakfast was exceptional! The Full Cornish breakfast is huge and kept us going all day long. Nothing beats a drink at the end of the day at the bar or in one of the many reception rooms just soaking in the wonderful views. We didn't get the chance to use the spa due to very long days out exploring. Plenty of free parking available too which was refreashing.

Internet was a bit patchy and slow but worked most of the time - expected in the location though.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in the main restaurant. The spa was amazing, absolutely brilliant and not super busy. The hotel is attractive, if a little tired in places, but nicely done and very clean. Bathroom products are gorgeous. Views stunning location fabulous. The food at the restaurant was excellent, really wonderful service, epic views and quality food.

Only minor things, and I'm only mentioning as it's quite expensive. The room was very small, and rather hot, and we were right by a door so it was a little noisy, especially with dog walkers up at 6 30am! But luckily I brought sleeping pills and ear plugs! The bar and bistro area was not very well manned, so it often took quite a while to get a drink, so we only did it a couple of times, whereas we would have preferred more. But over all, the quality of the spa and the food at the restaurant made it very much worth the cost of the hotel IMO

Beautiful hotel with breath-taking and dramatic views over Mullion Cove and the rest of the Cornwall coast. Very conveniently situated in the middle of an area of great beauty and lots of things to do. But when you want to relax after days of exploring for instance St Michaels Mount, you can hop in the spa and jump in the pool. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. We already shared our experience (and pictures) with friends who will try to visit this hotel in the autumn!

The food is exceptional - bit of an odd choice of music during dinner (dance music didn’t really suit the dining vibe). Our dinner and breakfast were very memorable. My massage was probably one of the best I’ve ever had in terms of products, therapist and extremely comfortable massage tables. The view is breathtaking. The bed was lovely and the curtains provided decent blackout. The shower was very powerful and the shower head was so clean it looked brand new.

I did have one little request for our bedroom that I confirmed on the phone but wasn’t done in our room, nothing major. Our room wasn’t ready at the allotted time but we understand that summer is a busy time and went straight to the pool. The mirror at the dressing table was attached to the wall for taller people not taking into account height of people whilst sitting down. Tiny things, still highly recommended this hotel.

Location is superb, views at sunset are amazing. The staff are great, friendly, accomodating and engaging, full of tips and ideas. Hotel perfectly situated for some lovely cliff top walks.

The only real complaint was the restaurant, food was great, just took a little while to get served. We stayed for four days, and by the fourth day we were so chilled they could have taken 30 mins to bring a drink and we wouldn't have noticed :-) Make sure you ask for a room with a nice size double bed...

Beautiful charming location, very tasty breakfast, nice staff, clean room. We even had a birthday card for my boyfriend in the room, it was a nice surprise. Cleaning was done every day and supplemented with capsules for coffee, tea and biscuits. Branded toiletries were available in the bathroom nice smelling gels and shampoos. The wellness center was fascinating, also the pool outside with warm water, bathrobes, towels and slippers available. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you once again for a great stay. We will be very happy to come back soon.

Meals were superb and given lovely seaview room with bath and shower. All staff were amazing.

We were charged extra £5 for the first nights meal. We only had 2courses..main and dessert each night. When I queried it I was told it was an extra charge for the catch of the day but it was not stated on menu. Menu said supplement for steak meal (£12)and cheese n biscuits(£3) only. Also Mattress was lumpy..time for new mattress. And pillows were not good quality and also need replacing. Would have used spa if hotel had a covered walkway from lounge across to spa. In bad weather it's not good having to walk outside .

the room had a great view, the staff were very helpful. Good location for walking, beaches were great and some very secluded.

More info about the local area, walks and also getting around the area - bus info etc. The food offer in the bar was limited and did not change - so we only ate once the dinner menu in the restaurant was not enough choice - we only ate there once because of this and it wouldW have been better to have seen the dinner choice in the morning to know if there was an option for us.

Location and spa facilities

the room I had booked through Booking.com was not the room I was given. The receptionist said the photos were a guide and not the actual room allocated which I think is very deceptive. The room I was given was quite large but had a shower not a bath, the decoration around the windows and on wall need looking at as the paint/plaster is lifting and the full set view was not exactly correct as the room I was given was on the side of the building.
