Excellent local pub but obviously run by a chain.room was very presentable and clean. Few quirks like with the lay out of room 7 the double bed is against the wall.. fine for one but not great for two. Sloaping room again if fun in the bathroom as being over 6ft difficult to use the wc.. shower with no clip and no shower curtain.. the other little disappointment was the charge for the breakfast.. I didn't order it at time of booking and ordering full breakfast was ok.. but i dont eat sasages .. so asked for extra bacon that i was kindly charged an extra 1.50! A pot of tea at £3.50 and an orange juice that most bnb include came to £17.50! So great to sleep but excessive on the breakfast..

Amazing room: large, spacious, comfortable, huge bed. We didn't have breakfast (our choice) but several evening meals which were superb! The staff were exceptional, so helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble especially as we had our dog with us.

Unfortunately the one thing that let our room down was the ensuite. It needs gutting! Horribly tight, sloping floor, poor shower over a narrow bath but interestingly staff we spoke with new what needed doing, receiving poor feedback on these issues. Such a shame as this hotel should be receipt of rosettes for everything else. Marstons: listen!

Have stayed here twice before - like the 'quirky ' nature of the rooms and the area in which the Hotel is situated. Food and service excellent. Access to some rooms ie on third floor is via an ancient narrow staircase ( no lift) and could be problematic for those of limited mobility

No real issues but think ( as mentioned on Hotel own site) that in low season some offers would be beneficial as in the evening and at breakfast Hotel was largely empty apart from us. We paid extra for breakfast - no real issues as it was nice but charging this separately doesnt make a great deal of sense as most other Hotels include as standard.

The hotel was in the middle of the High Street, with a good location for walking and getting around. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is part of the pub/ restaurant which served great food. It's an old property with lots of quirky features. Our room was clean , spacious, lovely, and warm with a very comfy bed, with a good night's sleep. Lots to do in Lymington, steeped with so much history, well worth a visit.

A little noisy in our room due to the bar/ restaurant . But it didn't interrupt our sleeping , floorboards were creaky, but it is an old building, which we expected.

Central location, traditional atmosphere, local musicians playing on Thursday evening, convenient parking . Reasonable sized bathroom .Friendly professional staff.

Our double room was cosy ,the bed was up against the wall on one side requiring a certain agility from one of us ! With only a thin wall between us and the room next door it sounded at times as if our neighbours were in the room with us .You could not avoid the noise of other guests walking up and down the corridor on the creaky old floors. However it was good value for money and as long as you know what to expect it's absolutely fine.

Staff were very friendly and the food available at the pub was fantastic.

Low ceilings / door frames. No ventilation in the room, so it ended up very hot and humid overnight. Windows didn’t seem to open. Fan was provided but it didn’t really cool the room.

Really friendly, chatty and helpful staff. Lunch was very tasty, and the kitchen accommodated some off-menu choices. The bar area is clean and comfortable, candles and log-fires were lit in the evening and the menu was varied. Great location right in the middle of Lymington High Street and a short walk to absolutely everything.

Bar closed very early for a Friday and Saturday night; we were hastily ushered out at around 10:15pm, which was disappointing as we hadn't heard a bell for last orders and staff hadn't told guests that it would close early. For the price paid, it would have been nice if breakfast was included, but there are plenty of options in the High Street which are cheaper anyway.

Comfortable bed, large room. Bathroom was huge, and warm, lovely shower, but no bath, which was a shame - could easily have fitted one in! Staff were very friendly, easy process for checking in and out, and the location was perfect.

There should have been bedside tables - loads of room to fit a decent sized one on each side of the bed, but lack of meant that we had to leave books and other belongings on the floor next to bed. Shower good, but took a few minutes for any water to actually come out - put this down to being on the top floor!

Absolutely excellent location, right on the high street

Whilst we did find a parking slot in the hotel car park there was the worry that when you got back at end of day that there mightn’t have been a space due to the Hotels admission that a lot of locals knew the car park access code. That really needs addressing. The room was ok but the bathroom well the shower was incredibly small barely any space at all. I’d suggest to any prospective guests to upgrade their room when booking. The upgraded rooms are so much bigger and the bathroom again so much bigger.

This old inn has been re-furbished to a very good standard with good quality furniture and fittings. The floors slope a little as you would expect with such an old property but this just adds to the charm of the place. Quality towels soaps and coffee/tea help maintain a standard above normal for this price point. The staff are excellent with a genuinely warm welcome. Food at breakfast and in the evening was great quality good choice and good value for money. The Hotels location right in the centre of Lymington made it ideal to explore the town and harbour.

Plenty of plug sockets but no USB points. Shower is small (not a fault just an observation. You cant get a bigger one in!) and whilst not a problem to us anyone with limited mobility should know that the rooms are accessed by a spiral staircase.
