Red Lion Court by City2Stay

Location is very good, at the edge of the City of London, near the Royal Courts of Justice. Reasonably quiet neighborhood and good access to buses. Some nice pubs in the area. Do not miss visiting Temple Church and the Inner and Middle Temple area. One small Tesco nearby, some larger grocery shops approx 10 minutes away. The staff who greeted us and who take care of the apartments are really nice and helpful. The kitchen is fully equipped. The kitchen and the living room have a good size

We stayed in on the ground floor in apartment 3 and would not recommend it. It is noisy due to the fact the bedroom is just by the main entrance door to the building. The bedroom is very small, only one bedstand and very difficult to get in bed on one of the sides. Cupboard space is limited.

On arriving we were met by George who helped with luggage and gave us a quick orientation. Well done, George! We took the least expensive studio but it was perfect for our overnight stay. It gave us more space than a conventional hotel room but at half the price. Just a 20 minute walk from Covent Garden.

Minor point: the bed was queen size, we would have preferred king size. And the duvet / pillows were too light. Could do with more substantial bed linen.

Needs a mattress topper straight sheet on mattress isn’t ideal but that’s being picky. I hadn’t realised I could check in well in advance and then would be sent an email with access code. The greeting I got was quite aggressive and difficult as English was not her first language and what she was saying made no sense. however once we got past that it was fine.

Clean, complete, easy to access and use, well appointed quality apartment perfect for a short trip (several days) Fan a great extra as quite warm on the upper floors

The door code was little confusing to begin with but then I realised it was 5 minutes early for the codes to work once i worked out how to do it all was good. The accommodation itself was spotless clean, the towels smelt fresh and there was plenty of space for me and my mum. It was very quiet on a night time, the bed was super comfy. Sainsburys supermarket it a 5 minute walk for any essentials needed. I have no complaints about the property we would definitely stay here again. My advice for getting around is to stick to the Tubes we tried the buses and got lost on the first night as I could not get my bearings at all. Take the Holburn or Chancery Lane tube and grab a map it is definitely an easier way to find your way around the city. The tube station in a 6 minute walk from the room.

There was no hairdryer ( well i couldn't find one)

Great location with easy access to the underground. Excellent facilities, really clean and comfortable. Access really easy once codes received.

Not necessarily something we didnt like but be aware that our access codes went into our spam which, without a chance meeting with a member of staff outside would have hampered check in. Not the fault of the property, just something to be aware of.

Clean, good location, easy access to Chancery Lane, Blackfriars and Farringdon tube stations. Very smooth check in. If you rented the penthouse, i love the fact that it has 2 bathrooms. Just a note that it’s on the 5th floor and the elevator only goes up to the 4th floor. It was not an issue for us but might be a problem for elderly people or if you have a lot of luggages.

Not in a residential area, in between business buildings. So much construction going on around, woke up to construction noises at 7am on Saturday, a construction guy was right across our window

When we got there, Andrea and George were SO nice and accommodating. They let us in and helped us with our bags. They checked to make sure we had everything we needed, showed us how everything worked and explained the items in the room to us. They made themselves super available to us throughout the whole trip and left their number to call in case we needed anything. The room has a small refrigerator with freezer, dishes, a stove and oven, a washer dryer combo, really everything you need. The room is about a 1 minute walk from the Fetter bus stop which takes you on several different lines so it was very convenient to get around. Plus there is SO MUCH right by the room.

I do wish there was a little more space - there were 3 of us in the room with lots of luggage so we had to get creative on where we sat our luggage. It also seemed warm but we are from America and used to being able to just turn the AC down rather than open windows or remove a coat.

Andrea was amazing and very welcoming and when we showed up early, prior to when the room would be made available, she allowed us to store our luggage with her so we can explore the city without having to drag the bags with us all day. The location was exceptional, so close the the city main attractions and easy to get to from Heathrow. Area was quiet at night and the room was amazing, clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone and I definitely will be back when visiting London.
