The Lerwick Hotel

Breakfast was served in the sea-side restaurant. Coffee/Tea was served freshly brewed and free for extra. Hot breakfast (Full Scottish Breakfast) was served on your preferred order and good value. I especially would like to mention is a quality of Croissants and cold food (ham, boiled eggs, tomatoes) served at the buffet counter, which was really good and we very much enjoyed! Breakfast of the Lerwick Hotel is recommendable!

Facility was slightly dated but the bedding/towels were nicely provided. My friend found the cleanest of the bathroom was a bit poor.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable (if a little dated) I was very lucky and got an upgrade from a single to a family room. Shower was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. Had a great sleep lovely and quiet. Breakfast was superb and the staff were fantastic and very attentive. Had lunch and dinner there as well and I couldn’t fault it at all

Overall very happy with my stay but the decor is a bit dated in the rooms but as my bathroom was very modern and stylish I think they are going through an upgrade process

The staff were all exceptional. The location is very good with beautiful views of the bay from rooms window. The restaurant serves very good food and I recommend the fish and chips.

The rates were high for the quality we received. However, there is not much choice in Lerwick.

The Hotel had a friendly, relaxed feel to it. Our room was very clean, spacious with a wonderful view that I had requested. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Food in restaurant was delicious with excellent service. The included breakfast was also great, the only place in Scotland over a few weeks where I was offered kippers in the breakfast menu, they were truly delicious!

The food was good. the staff were helpful and pleasant.

The hotel is undergoing an upgrade so it would be unhelpful to provide detailed comments. However, the shower was the best we had during our island trip of 5 different hotel. There was an unused 4-socket extension lead plugged in with a note saying 'do not turn off' or something like that. The number of 3-pin sockets and USB sockets needs to be increased.

The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and in a great location.

There wasn't a great selection of hot breakfast items for vegetarians which could be expanded. The rooms were a bit dated but did have everything you needed

The location for Lerwick is brilliant. The bus stop just outside of the hotel (we got the bus south to Sumburgh Lighthouse). Easy walk to Tesco's if needed, and the port not too far. Breakfast was delicious, good atmosphere and didn't feel rushed.

Shower pressure could be improved.

We were up for the Simmer Dim Motorcycle Rally in mid June. We decided to book one night in the Lerwick and were NOT disappointed. Room was clean, comfortable and THE VIEW from our window was stunning. The food in the restaurant was exceptional, all the staff were friendly and, I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

I have no complaints whatsoever

Our rom was comfortable and we had a nice view. However the room was a little shabby as was the Hotel. Understandable after the circumstances of the last few years. However the staff were very good, particularly the young members of staff who served us in the restaurant

Circumstances have been against the hotel so it would not be fair to say what could be better
