Convenient location for us, very friendly and helpful staff. Late check in not a problem and access to the room was easy with door code. Great to have iron and ironing board easily available. Good sized and comfortable room. Good value. Nice to have the convenience of a pub on site.

Noisy tap in bathroom. Bath towels could be bigger and fluffier. Confirmation email out of date (still has details about Christmas opening times on it). Maybe some more healthy breakfast options and something more 'Scottish' on offer?! The tables in the bar area were very wobbly - we kept spilling our drinks whilst eating breakfast!

Clean, quiet and recently decorated room on the second floor with external access. Comfy bed, large bathroom. plenty of space with desk area. Pub food was good. Friendly staff. Ideal for me exhibiting at the new P&J Live Exhibition Centre, which is 10 - 15 mins away by car. Great butchers shop next door and a Co-Op 2 mins walk away. Inverurie is 5-10 mins by car and ideal for local shops, Tesco and alternative meals out.

Need clearer instructions re breakfast. I thought there was breakfast, then found there wasn't during the week, then was offered breakfast during the week (very kindly). Looked to get breakfast at the weekend and check out, but no one was in the public area except a cleaner. Maybe I needed to advise a staff member the night before (I don't know), but clear instructions by staff at check-in would be good. There are Starbucks and McDonalds restaurants 5 mins drive away, so missing breakfast wasn't an issue.

Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. A few minor faults with room that we informed the owner of, but did not hamper our stay at all.

There was a door out to a balcony in our room. The door didn’t lock and we only discovered on checking out that we were not to use the balcony. Due to poor weather we didn’t use the balcony anyway, but we were a little concerned that we couldn’t secure the room completely when not there. Although unlikely there were roofs that could be scaled to get to the balcony. Owner apologised on checkout.

Really great value for money, nice sized room with big windows. Really effective heating, very quiet despite the fact you are next to the restaurant. Clean bathroom.

Minor things but the mugs were never cleaned in my room. I found the bed and pillows really hard but this is personal preference. I’ve stayed a few times in different rooms and I really wish they had mirrors where you can use a hairdryer, it’s a bit awkward to get ready.

We has breakfast one morning. There was good selection in the menu as myself & my daughter didn’t want a full cooked breakfast. We were happy that we had booked for the room & breakfast was optional.

We were very happy with the facilities. The room was clean & comfortable. There were some creaky floorboards from the room above but we both slept well. It’s a nice central location in Kintore which is a quiet village.

We stayed for only one night during our roadtrip. This Hotel is a nice small hotel in a small city. Everything good, nothing special in particular regarding the room. What was already mentioned by other guests and we can cofirm: the restaurant was really good and the food delicious. Perfect combination for our stay!

Comfortable bed, although a little creaky. Shower room facilities good. Cleanliness excellent. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Location perfect for my needs.

Creaky floorboards in room above and adjacent meant I was woken very early by other residents leaving. Unable to open windows. Meals a little disappointing.

I had the evening meal which was OK - didn't have the breakfast as I had to get off to my office for a meeting. The staff were lovely and made me feel quite at home. My room was spotless and I have no complaints about the layout and facilities.

The only problem I had was that the people in the room adjacent to me and above me got up at 4.30am and made a lot of noise moving around, showering etc. They were forgiven in the light that they may have been working on getting the power restored in Aberdeenshire.

Owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was lovely and good helpings. It was hot and well presented. We found all the locals made us welcome. Everywhere very clean and covid regulations all adhered to which was reassuring. As visiting family the location was perfect and reasonably priced. We will stay here next time we visit. the back door access could have more covering so when the weathers “ not good” which is pretty frequent there you’ve got shelter prior to going into the accommodation.
