I hadn't read the details of the property properly and so was surprised to be told there was no breakfast. However, this was my second visit to The Crewe Arms so I should have known! The staff were extremely helpful both on check-in and throughout my stay. The room was a fair size and the bed comfortable. The room was tastefully designed, with an indoor porch meaning that the bedroom stayed extra snug. Heated towel rails were very much appreciated! Very quiet location in a peaceful village. I haven't eaten dinner at the pub but believe the food is of a high standard. I will definitely stay here again.

The only thing was the shower was not very powerful or strong and may need some maintenance. The drains make a strange noise when it is on, but it is still perfectly useable.

We stayed here on Thursday the 15th of September as a halfway point from taking my daughter to university. We was met with a very warm welcome by the manager who showed us upto our room. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was comfortable and peaceful. Sat in the pub for the evening and the atmosphere was good. The pubs black labrador greeted us and gave the pub a more homely feeling. The menu was good and the staff were accommodating offering to adapt the menu where needed. The food was tasty and proper pub grub. Had a really good night snd will certainly come back.

Loved it all

Location great. A welcoming pub with a good Lunch & Dinner menu. The person who booked us in and was our primary server for Dinner (and lunch the next day) was great - couldn't have done enough for us. Lovely roaring fire and good beer.

No breakfast was available. Also, whilst the room was warm, comfortable and quiet, the en-suite was a bit "tired". But we would definitely book again.

Lovely little pub, with really friendly staff and excellent food. I was heading up the M40 and decided to veer slightly off route to stay here rather than the Bicester Travelodge, so as to have somewhere with a little more atmosphere and charm. Completely the right decision.

The room was above the kitchen so it smelt a little of dinner when I went up to bed, but it quickly cleared and was fine overnight and in the morning.

The food was just beautiful with good portion sizes and perfectly cooked. we loved the fact that it’s dog friendly and the resident dog was always about.
