Great location next to the airport. Easy to find and get to from the airport train station. Everything signposted to help with this, too. Had everything you needed for an overnight stay before travelling. Great value. Clean and welcoming. Food and drink facilities are available in the hotel. Nice touch having free tea and coffee available in the bar area, and you could take things up to your room. Nice to know you can also use restaurants and bars in other airport hotels, like the Holiday Inn opposite, if you want to venture out the evening before you travel. Friendly and helpful staff. Suitable for any traveller, whether that be a couple like us, or we also saw business people and families staying there. A 24-hour desk meant it was nice to see someone when checking out in the early hours, too (especially if any help was needed). Would definitely do a stay here for travel purposes again.

2 minute walk to the airport made it effective for our early flight. Drinks and snacks available and a very good bar and restaurant over the road.

Comfortable, clean and convenient

Car parking. I received a hefty fine because I sat in my car beyond the free 10 minutes. It was not made clear to me by the hotel staff that it is a strict 10 minutes in the whole area. I parked my car to pick up my luggage which took about 3 minutes. I then moved my car to the end of the car park and sat for about 15 minutes working out my route on google maps. I had no idea that the whole area was under surveillance. I will try to contest the fine on those grounds.

This hotel is spotless and modern. I Especially liked the coffee facilities in the downstairs lobby rather than in the room and fresh baked croissants and pain au chocolates for breakfast. The staff were brilliant, very helpful and made our stay more enjoyable, and our room was huge we had a triple room and can’t fault it, clean and comfortable with a nice shower. Perfect and we will definitely stay there again in the future.

I actually can’t find anything that I didn’t like about the hotel itself, however we were flying from terminal 3 and this was a 17 minute walk from the hotel, terminal 2 is right outside so great for that. This wasn’t a problem for us I just wanted to make others aware of it because we hadn’t realised ourselves.

The Ibis budget hotel is a minimalist but with all the basic facilities.. The hotel is conveniently located about 10 minutes walk to Manchester Airport T2. Staff are friendly. There was an unlimited supply (DIY) of coffee and tea, but no bottle water available to buy even at a premium price on thay evening (13 Sept) and that was a bit disappointing. (We went to the Holiday Inn next door to buy a bottle of water.).

The lack of of bottled water at the hotel bar . It should not have been a 'mission impossible' gor the statt or management to stock enough or get some bottled water from local suppliers for the hotel's resident customers.

Comfortable clean budget hotel in a good location - can walk to and from airport. Liked the access to free tea and coffee. Cafe style food service was good and well run despite being very busy. Staff did a great job during very busy period.

Needed bath mats in the bathroom. Bed needed to be oriented differently to allow for access both sides. Needed an area to hang clothes (was some space but it had a bed under it to accommodate our daughter) in the large wasted space outside the bathroom. Reception and cafe area became very congested during busy evening service. Team working there need to review processes to make more efficient - taking orders in one area but then processing for payment in another area.

Does what it says on tin, BUDGET! Had zero expectation although very pleasantly surprised hence the full top marks, exceptionally good value. Was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary hot drinks coffees etc, yummy a free hot chocolate to go to bed with, perfect sleep then early flight. Well done team Ibis Budget MCR airport :)

Walkable location mapping, didn't know how to walk from station so across many roads, wasn't easy, but that's my own fault ...please walk the green line as I did to the terminal, super easy, I just didn't know prior. Brilliant value and location regardless, exceptional staff :)

Great location (once we found it), great budget option considering you are probably only spending a few hours in it. Nice new rooms, nice bathroom. Meets its purpose, would stay again if had another early morning flight or got back at a stupid time.

Followed the directions but must have come out the wrong door, we ended up climbing over a railing to get to the hotel as couldn't work out how to get around to the main entrance, but not a big deal. Check in was a bit busy and crowded, not a great check in desk set up for peak times. One side of bed is against the wall which isn't that comfortable for two people.

Close to terminal 2, clean, friendly staff, adequate for an overnight stay for the airport

The ground floor layout is not very customer friendly, check in and out too close to the door and grab and go food. Queue's of people lining up outside the door to book in, you had to take your luggage through the seating area for the door to the lifts however people were queueing at the food station and people were eating while people trying to get through with their luggage to get to their rooms as well as people coming past you trying to leave with their luggage. Very chaotic in such a small area. Double bed against one wall so one person has to climb over the other which could be a problem for some.

It is literally 2 minutes walk from Terminal 2. It has limited food but there is a lovely restaurant you can use directly across the road in the holiday Inn. The Ibis budget is absolutely perfect for travellers needing an overnight stay before they fly out on holiday or if you just need to relax if you get back late from holiday and want to travel back the next day. It was very clean, the staff were friendly. You can have unlimited tea and coffee. The rooms have plenty of charging points for your devices including USB ports.

The rooms are ‘very’ small but let’s be honest, most people use them to sleep anyway. It’s a bit confusing how you get into the hotel. You have to travel up the road go round a roundabout, come back on yourself. We got it right on the 3rd go.
