Denvir's Coaching Inn

Our bedroom was located in the annnexe where there were five other bedrooms and apartments Located a minute away from the hotel. Facilities in bedroom were amazing. lovely spacious bedroom. Very comfortable bed. amazing shower All the fixtures, fittings and furnishings to a very high standard Hotel facilities just lovely Very friendly public bar with well priced drinks! Breakfast in the dining room was perfect…..best Irish breakfast we’ve ever eaten Also had dinner in the restaurant which was superb….don’t loose the chef! The meals were fantastically priced and so beautifully cooked and presented Finally all the team at the hotel were charming and so helpful We loved Denvir’s ….thank you for making a perfect holiday for us as we explored places along the County Down coast

Its was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming especially Owen who carried our luggage and went out of his way to try rectify any issues we had. Breakfast was perfect again served by friendly helpful staff who allowed us to leave our luggage a few hrs extra after checkout so we could shop before our bus home.

When i booked i booked a room with 2 double beds, when we arrived we were shown to a room with 1 double and 1 single bed. We were then taken to "The mews" seperate building to Denvirs and taken to a room with 2 double beds but the heating didnt work. The Third and final room at top of the building had 2 double beds also with no heating but eventually got 2 heaters working that unfortunately knocked off through the night as they were on a timer. Although the staff was so helpful and tried hard to resolve our issues i would expect that management have assigned room ready for check-in and the room heated for arrival especially in the middle of December when the weather was -2 outside.

Our twin room was front facing but it was quiet and beautifully proportioned - in fact the room was huge! Tea/Coffee making facilities, very clean and with great character as the description suggests. It felt like stepping back in time, which was amazing.

The breakfast set up. There was only one person (the manager I believe) working that morning. She did an amazing job but was visibly under pressure and her demeanor showed this too. Everything had to be ordered via this one person. Life could be so much easier! Suggestion: place boxes of cereal; yogurts; teas/coffees; juices out in the main breakfast area - this would free up so much time and make it a far more pleasant experience for everyone.

Staff so helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble, warm and welcoming after a long day and it was late by the time I got there. Room was quaint but modern, charming and warm like the whole establishment. Everything available for your convenience. Room was quiet with traditional features. Lovely facilities, bathroom was excellent. Room was large and light. breakfast was delicious and they had fancy smokey mushrooms on the full irish which were devine. Staff so kind and patient with my son from start to finish. Such an easy going welcoming place they obviously work hard to keep it so good but the effort doesn't show as they have the professional ease about them.

I stayed here after a family wedding (which was also in Denvirs), the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean, bathroom was immaculate. The staff were extremely helpful and couldn't have been more accommodating. I was extremely happy with the service we all recieved from beginning to end. There is nothing I could fault. Food was amazing, breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Very reasonably priced. Bar and waiting staff were brilliant. Would highly recommend.

The breakfast was AMAZING! Very nicely done, tasty, hot and served by a very gracious host. I just loved sitting in that little breakfast room, which was once the kitchen for the building, and thinking about all the history there. Very inspiring. The towels were nice and I appreciated that the hair dryer was hung on the side of the vanity so I could find it easily. Loved the tea making set up. I took full advantage of that. Much better than those horrid Keurig cup things in the States. My friend and I had had a late lunch so we ordered a cheese plate and drinks in the little bar that evening. A splendid way to close the day.

One thing I would suggest, though, is perhaps a little better lighting in the rooms, especially the bathroom. And folks should be prepared that there is no lift. Thankfully, they have very accommodating staff who carried my bag upstairs for me. I love that every hotel has a tea kettle and all the fixings available in the room, but small amenities like lotion and hair conditioner, in addition to shower gel and shampoo that were provided, would also be appreciated.

Nice room, Excellent staff especially William the bar man, great location, Staff went above and beyond getting me flowers, chocolates and prosecco for me to surprise my girlfriend, very pleased.

Lamps in our room didn't work and that is it everything else was absolutely perfect.

Breakfast and our evening meal were good. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff could not have been better. A last minute request to change one of the allocated rooms to one in the extension was met without fuss.

The extension off premises needed a bit of getting used to as the entrance to it is through a metal gate into a little yard to then enter the property. A little bit of planting or warm decor could really help that. Once inside it was good; a little soundproofing between rooms could have dampened down the enthousiasm of the couple in the next room!!

Nice hotel with pleasant staff and a historic feel to the place. Although service at breakfast was slow the young waiter made up for it by being apologetic and attentive. We have stayed here before and will again.

The room in the mews was huge and comfortable. However the entrance to the mews leaves a lot to be desired. You want to feel you're going into another part of the hotel. Not somebody's back entry.

I had a different breakfast each morning and all were delicious. I liked the room we had breakfast. I like the time it was offered.

Only issues were tiny - explain the way the door lock works, and that the room does have a hairdryer, I thought I had to go down and request one as I had to in the last hotel( it was tucked into a drawer and it’s cord was not long enough)
