Halfway Hotel

A great little hotel in Coalville, ideal for my work. They have a bar downstairs and there's a chippy across the road. The room was immaculate with all of the essentials. The rooms are not as large as Travelodge or Premier Inn but a room is a room, and at least they provide a wardrobe rather than a hanging space. The en-suite far exceeded anything you would get with Travelodge or Premier Inn. It was spotless with a large shower, ample towels and spare tolet rolls.

looked like it had been recently refurbished, spotlessly clean, and a comfortable peaceful night sleep was had. we would highly recommend staying at the halfway hotel! also excellent customer service, we lost our key and didn’t realise until returning to the hotel at 12:15 AM but despite not having any on site staff during the night the owner of the hotel, who I’m sure I woke up with my phone call was really helpful and sent some one to us with a spare key within 20 minutes! we would definately return here! great value too!

The property was easy to locate and the check in was very efficient and friendly. The receptionist showed me to the room and explained how to access the hotel when the front doors were closed. The room was spacious and clean . The bathroom was quite small however the shower was great with plenty hot water. There was no meals available but there are options close to the hotel.

Only point a chair in the room would have been nice instead of having to sit on the bed all of the time.

Being able to park the car right outside our room was a bonus. Each time we returned from our travels we felt happy to be there.

At first we had a room where lights were broken and not sure if they were fixed. At first we were allocated an upstairs room but having trouble with stairs the lovely Sammie gave us a ground floor room which was much appreciated.

Due to a late afternoon funeral an overnight stay was necessary. The Halfway Hotel was just right and was fit for this purpose. However, for a longer stay I'd recommend taking your own teabags 😱🤗. Sammy, the receptionist, was pleasant, friendly though somewhat rushed off feet. Andy 😊

We only met one member of staff on reception but she was absolutely lovely and so helpful as we were a group of 13 in need of a taxi. Rooms were clean and private, communication was excellent prior to our stay and it was a perfect base for us as we attended a local festival. We didn't get to try the Indian restaurant but it smelt lovely :) Thankyou again.

The area the hotel is in isn't the greatest but that's no reflection on the hotel itself at all. As I said, perfect base for nearby events.

We stayed here as fairly near the festival we was attending (apr 4 miles away). The hotel was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Very clean spacious family room. Tea & coffee facilities, lovely clean bathroom, with towels included, comfy beds, can't fault anything! And the price was fantastic!! We will definitely be returning! Thank you to the lovely lady that welcomed us and helped by finding us local taxi numbers.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Lovely little B&B located 5 minutes walk from Coalville town centre. Perfect if attending an event in town or working in the area. Ample free parking and a nice bar area for drinks & food, nice staff.

Was ok on Saturday....... however can be VERY expensive during major event weekends.

Centrally located, easy to find. Pleasant, friendly, helpful receptionist and the room was very clean and the beds comfortable.

Nothing really. Slight problem that breakfast wasn't available due to refurbishment, but several places nearby were pointed out for breakfast, including a Wetherspoons.

Very handy for us as our friends live in the next street. Key fob entry is very convenient

No hairdryer. Everywhere has one so I didn't take one. Reception is at the side of the bar and it can be daunting walking in to a bar full of people
