We loved our stay in this hotel ! Our room was upgraded and was very clean and comfortable. Plus, the hall was very nice with live music shows at night. The pool and the gym were a valuable plus ! From there we could easily rent bikes to see the surroundings. We definitely recommend !

We were there during the Christmas period. It was amazing, the hotel did a lots of programs all day, every day. We could go to the swimming Pool every day, there are a lots of things for the kids and adults also. We will definitely go back.

everything, 3rd visit to this hotel in 12 months standard of service from hotel is exceptional, all requests pre arrival were met as previous occasions, we travel with my 92 year old mum and 17 year old grandson and our family pet jack Russell so having ground rooms close together is a must and they have never disappointed in arranging this, check in is no problem rooms are spacious and clean no problems getting extra bedding or towels whenever required, the main reason this hotel has become our favourite is the fantastic service by all the staff so friendly and helpful in every area so top marks to them. food is excellent great range of choices at breakfast and evening dinner, and staff in restaurant are excellent nothing is to much trouble for them, even fussy eaters can find something to eat with the excellent choice of dishes on offer, they have a small gym and two swimming pools as well as a load of activity's in and around the hotel for kids, even have night time entertainment on most nights, even have dog treats on hotel reception so our dog feels welcome, overall would highly recommend this hotel for couples as well as families so friendly and position is fantastic with so many outdoor activities near by will be going back for a forth time in the near future well done to all the staff for making our last stay as good as the other two very happy customers

Apart from the food we are so happy we stayed here. We were apprehensive after reading some bad reviews but we are glad we ignored them. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The location is absolutely spectacular and there is always something to do. We could not fault our stay at all, In fact we even booked an extra day while we were there.

The prices for the breakfast and dinner are very expensive compared to the prices to eat out in aviemore town. The woodshed bar was also only open 2 days a week which is a shame as we would have loved to visit but did not get the opportunity.

Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice on the buffet. Dinner in the restaurant was also excellent and again a great choice at the buffet. I have a wheat intolerance and my wife is vegetarian but there was a great deal for us both to choose from. Nice friendly atmosphere in the bar area and dog-friendly too.

I would say the one down side is the length of time to check in. I saw some people wait in a queue for over 20 minutes while the paperwork was completed. In some other hotels we have stayed in, they have sent a questionnaire by email which you complete and return beforehand and then you just have to pick up your key. This is much better for both customer and staff. Another suggestion - change "Lunch menu" to "All Day menu" - it doesn't start until 2pm and that is past lunch!

Great location. I was nervous of check in wait times reading other reviews, however they put a film on for children at 4pm so they don’t have to wait around. You can pre check in and just collect room key at 4pm to save the queue. Hotel staff were great helpful with any questions we had. The play staff and activity staff are amazing and very helpful! Swimming pool was fine you have to book a slot but this ensures it’s not crowded. Location is great not too far from centre. Evening entertainment was great. The grounds are kept and everywhere is very clean and tidy.

Dinner seemed pricey if not booked as package. We explored the town for dinner and breakfast lots of nice places to eat. The rooms are hot not sure why as the heating wasn’t on. Maybe take a fan from home, however each room in provided with one.

The room was great, it looked like it had a recent re-fit. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern with a fab walk in shower. Meals were good value and filling on the DB&B package. This not haute cuisine, but there is plenty of choice and we always found something that we were happy to eat. Vegetarian main meal choices are limited (one option) but there is always a selection of salads, cheeses and so forth, plus a vegetarian soup. So there is plenty to mix and match. I also liked the bizarre dinosaurs near the car park. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The music in the bar was too loud and irritating.

We were allocated a suite, which was a very comfortable and spacious room. It included both a bath and a shower and there was a television in the bedroom as well as in the sitting room. The mattrass was good, we had a proper sleep after a long day of hiking and there was a nice extensive breakfast buffet. Personal is friendly. When I informed reception that our toilet seat was loose, they repaired it the same day.

As the check-in opens at 4pm, there is a really long cue and it takes ages. Everyone still needs to pay upon arrival and therefore it takes very long. Besides that, the hotel is very outdated. Towels are thin, carpet is loose and there was a bit of mold in between the bathroom tiles. The bathtub is not hotel-worthy, so thiny it doesn't fit two people. It could definitely use an overhaul.

The hotel itself is very good, the location ideal if you want to explore beautiful Scotland, lots of places to eat In the nearby town of Aviemore. Breakfast was outstanding buffet style but done the right way £12 each not a bad price Clean/Comfortable it works well

So we had a long trip to the hotel I paid extra for an early check in . I’m glad I did as they were very busy allocating rooms, it’s a big place with lots of rooms!!unfortunately we couldn’t get anything to eat on arrival nothing was available in the hotel at that time of day, we were sent over to the fun house children’s facility where they said there was a cafe but they were closing! but the lady in the funhouse gave us information on the town and where we could eat ect very helpful, if the hotel reception told us that information at first it would have been more helpful, I felt reception was a little under pressure with checking people in. Just a busy week I guess All in all though a great place to stay👍

I was a little sceptical reading the previous reviews but we paid £270 for 2 nights stay for a family of four and as we were only using it as a base thought we’d go for it. I have to say it surpassed our expectations. Staff were friendly, room was clean. It was a little tired but clean and comfortable. The hotel was busy with families and tourists and there was lots to do. Parking on the premises was easy and plentiful even with the hotel being busy. We were really happy with our stay and will definitely stay again. A great central hotel and walking distance to Rothiemurchus and Aviemore town.
