The location is great, as it's very close to the Ephesus ancient city (3 km), to the city center and also the temple of Artemis is quite close. The room was equipped with everything needed, albeit small, so don't bring too much luggage. There is ac if needed. The best feature of the hotel is the rooftop terrace, which has a nice view of the surrounding area and where breakfast is served (and its quite a good breakfast). I must add that the hosts made us feel welcome and helped us with everything we needed. Also, parking is available on the street nearby.

There was nothing not to like.

Extremely friendly hosts who speak English exceptionally well. They can help you with anything around Selçuk including where to best get the dolmus to ephesus. They have books on ephesus in many languages. We took one and it was very informative. They kept our luggage for free when we went on a two-day trip to Kusadasi. The room was small but functioning and clean. Nice bed, ac and warm water. We got a free welcome tea on the rooftop terrace as well as a good breakfast in the morning. Absolute 10/10!

Nothing.

The warm welcome and sociable atmosphere of the guesthouse as amazing. I stayed in two rooms over 10 days, comfortable beds clean and fresh linen. As a guest house thr rooms were not cleaned each day but it was easy to ask for fresh towels and bathroom waste bag to be emptied. Room staff were always willing to help. Bathrooms worked well. Breakfast time was extended to 10 and there was a large plate of cheese, fruit, egg, breads and spreads. Tea, nescafe and filter coffee to drink. The very comfortable roof terrace was accessible all day and from 6pm tea, coffee, water, beer and raki were available.A great place to chat with other guests, of all ages, exchange info and play backgammon or cards. Harry, the owner goes the extra mile to make things work ai8nd Ari his son a warm and gentle host, And Mooghly, the dog!

Nothing. I was very happy there and sad to leave,

A very friendly host family and a great location. They went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Also, very good value for money. Facilities were basic, but very clean. Breakfast was tasty and the ambience was nice. Room was small, but non-smoking and had air-conditioning.

Our bunk beds didn't have a safety rail, so our son fell off one night. It was convinient that our bathroom was connected to the room, but it could use a makeover. Breakfast was the same every day and served on a plate instead of setting up a buffet where guest could serve themselves. The host family and other guests smoking in the entrance area and on the roof terrace might be putting you off if you're a non-smoking guest.

We were so sad to leave this hospitable home. I could have stayed here and in Selcuk for much longer, rather than Istanbul actually. Lovely Harry is Turkish but grew up in Australia. Atti, his son serves tea, coffee and alcohol to the guests through the day and night. They are kind and warm and both speak English. Breakfast was great! There are many sites to see: Ephesus was simply breathtaking (and we had just seen Pompeii!) Sirince is 20 mins on the dolmus. You can even do a daytrip by train to Pamukkale. Don’t stay in busy Izmir, relax with the friendly people and restaurants of Selcuk. The rooms are simple, beds are comfortable with a very basic bathroom. But you can live so comfortably on the rooftop lounge with lovely views, and read alone or chat with the host and guests. I will come back.

This lovely family owned guest house is cosy and cute and covers all ones requirements of a place to kip and hang out when visiting the sleepy town of Selçuk (though I'm sure it bustles to kingdom come during the summer!) Their upper terrace is just as delightful in person as it is in their profile pictures and, once again, I'm sure it's actually glorious to hang out up there come the summertime. As it was, being low season, there were only a few souls around, but the family were attentive and very generous with their time and also their (great!) Turkish coffee. The owner lent me a guide book to take with me to travel through the incredible wonders of Efes, and was also very kind and accommodating to me when I arrived (much) too early! Splendorous surroundings, a sweet guesthouse, the foundations of which are made up of splendid people; is all in all equal to the summary of this review!

Everything was great, and I didn't even think to mention the bonus fresh plate of vegetables and fruit and French toast and spinach/feta pastry (included free) breakfast!

The staff was great. Offered a small book on Ephesus to take with to the site if I was looking to visit without a guide and found that helpful. I was not able to eat the breakfast as I was out early each day but the other patrons I talked with were happy with it. The location is superb as it's a five minute walk to the Temple of Artemis site and a 35 minute walk to Ephesus if one is inclined to do that. (I did make that walk to Ephesus and it's very doable for anyone willing to put in 2k each way.)

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. The do have a dog that lounges in the main courtyard area that is not threatening but does bark (a couple quick very non-threatening barks) whenever one re-enters the property so if one has a dog fear maybe that's a problem but he was totally harmless IMO>

We spent only one night in that guesthouse, but we really enjoyed our stay. However let's start from the beginning. There was no problem with late check-in. Actually, we had a feeling that more important for the hostel is our safety than the time when we arrive (we had to drive many km during that day) and it was very, very nice. Everyone was very communicative and helpfull. There was a welcome tea on the terrace. There was no problem with parking spot - we parked a car along the main road, close to the hostel. The room was clean, with wi-fi, towels and balcony. Breakfast was great, also on the very quaint terrace. Moreover, if you are going to see Efes, there is a possibility to borrow a book with all the information about that place. It is possible to pay by card for the stay.

The property was unique and offers a traditional Turkish living and set up and because of these, I think its brilliant and immersed us with traditional Turkish cultural experience. The Hotel is very close to the Bus Station literally a stone throw away. It is very close to Ephesus ruins and the staff showed us, literally pointed the road to us from the hotel rooftop! Its close to a beautiful local beach although we went to a nearby town Kusadasi for the busy beach. A walking distance to the Castle, shops, restaurants and place of worship. The owner, his son and all the staff were remarkable and very helpful. The place was comfortable, quite and accessible. We feel like part of their family rather than as guest. Theres a public parking nearby but the roads are safe enough to park our rented car - which the owner recommended and just steps away by the mosque or camii. Breakfast at the rooftop was awesome on its own and not to mention the view of the Ephesus mountain and the red tiled roofs of houses around it. The traditional Turkish breakfast and they offered a lot almost fill me for the day!

Is hard to find something we did not like because we were like cultural tourists - and this hotel was really unique to us with all the traditional carpets and tapestry. Anyway, the hotel room was odd shaped but this did not affect our comfort and convenience.
