It is not exactly like in the pictures but the room is spacious,comfortable bed,good water pressure in the shower.Breakfast is at the roof with a splendid view of the city. all together great value for the money. but be prepared with noise at night,laughs and music. Turkish people know how to party. If you want a quiet place it is not ideal for you. Be prepared with small change for tips,is turkish custom,everyone expects something. The staff is there for you if you need anything. Location is great for fun and shopping and great restaurants.

Nothing not to like

Staff were very nice. The room was large and comfortable! Depending on your room (we were level 6) be careful as the roof dips in part of the room near the bed & we bumped our head a few times! We booked very last minute. We did send a couple of messages via booking.com but we didn’t receive a reply. We were concerned because we wanted to make sure we could check in at 2.30am as our flight landed early morning. We had no trouble. It was open & staffed & we were able to go straight to our room & to sleep.

We loved the location. We had a corner suite which was beautiful and spacious. It’s a lovely old building with lots if charm and character

There’s nothing that we didn’t like. Some of the wood furniture is lovely and needs just a touch of TLC to make it into something so much more special

the most amazing part of our trip was the massage and Turkish bath(hamam). If you plan on staying at this hitel then definitely book massage and Turkish bath. It’s a wonderful experience and Saif is an amazing guy who helped us a lot !! The location of the hotel is wonderful, 5 minutes away from Shishane metro station, 15 mns walking to Galata tower. It’s great. The staff is amazing and very very helpful. This is my 4th time staying here and it never disappoints!

when we first received our room there was a smell of cigarettes in the room. We told the bellboy but they just act as if they don’t understand 😂 the smell didn’t stick long because we opened the windows. it happened another time after the room was cleaned… other than that, all great.

Love the hotel and its location and ambiance. I call it my second home in Istanbul its wonderful.

- The hotel rooms design is a classic and luxurious but it have to be maintained and the furniture (carpets-table sets) and lobby furniture are old and it looks like too much used and not changed long time. - the spa service was very expensive.

Location walking distance to everything / view from some rooms esp upstairs is to die for. Magnificent building, state of art rooms, marble and stone all over, antique working elevator Top notch breakfast at a popular restaurant which is part of the hotel/ building Super nice personnel always ready to help Royalty treatment in royalty fit suits

If you are not keen on night life which is specialty of the city and this area, you might not like loud music and dancing from about 10 pm to 2 am, not only coming from the restaurant on top of the hotel but also from neighbouring restaurants and cafes. We were so tired after day’s sightseeing that we dropped dead to sleep without minding that loud music. Few little issues due to OLD age of this gorgeous building but nothing major to spoil overall AWE! Staff is always there for you, and you will not go without basics due to small issues that might arise. They might not during your stay.

location is fantastic. lots of good restaurants and bars close by. taxis easily accessible. Dilara from guest relations was just amazing. she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. she arranged flexible checkin/ check out, umbrellas on rainy days and shared her list of top sites in Istanbul. Dilara’s happy smiles and can do attitude definitely made the stay pleasant!

Location is near Taxim and shopping area. The restaurant and breakfast area is very nice, the view is amazing.

The room, corner suite, it was a cold room. We were at the end of December. The breakfast not suitable for vegans (not so many options)

the size of rooms is perfect staff are so kind location is close to istiklal and to Taksi cars worth the price

- eleveter is only one, if it is crowded you will wait forever or if there is a maintaince you have to use the stairs. - room card always stop working, so everyday i have to go down and fix it. - there is no tissues in the room, which is weird.
