MySuite Istanbul Cihangir

Great location. Walking distance to many restaurants. The terrace was the best part! Great view of the city with privacy. Perfect for a solo traveler.

Bathroom was pretty small and ceilings were fairly low.

This is not a standard hotel, so don’t there is no 24-hour reception desk. This is a home away from home. For getting to know a city, this is much better, in my mind. Enes, the manager who checked us in, is often in the reception office across the tiny street from the apartment we stayed in, and when he wasn’t in the office, he was available by WhatsApp and phone any time. His English is fantastic, so he understood all the questions we had, and he was full of good information about what things to do around Istanbul, how much they should cost, and how to get there. He was as helpful as any concierge I’ve come across, and super friendly. He even had a Metro card for us to borrow during our stay. Even though it is called a suite, it is really a tiny apartment or convenience, complete with a kitchenette, which we used. Everything we needed was there, and Enes seemed to have anything else we might have needed. Including a ball pump for my son’s football. It was also very nicely decorated with modern conveniences, and yet with enough Turkish flare to remind us we were in Turkey. It felt very warm and local. We stayed in a one-bedroom flat, which included a sofa that pulled out into a double bed, and a little balcony overlooking the street. But, do ask about their other rooms, which includes a two bedroom flat with a large terrace and beautiful view. The neighborhood is also very sweet. There are definitely tourists and expats about, but they seem to be the more independent, locally-oriented travelers. Plenty of nice cafes and interesting shops around, but none of the touristy Knick knacks, or tour touts. It is also about a 15 minute walk to the Galata Bridge, and a 5 minute walk to the Galata pedestrian mall. All in all, I totally recommend MySuite.

Really, nothing. But the building is old, and the floor is a little rough (he gave us slippers, which we didn’t need). Just beware, especially if you have little kids. My elementary school kids loved it.

The host was great, he was very helpful and managed to meet all our needs. The rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable. The area is lovely.

Nothing to complain about, the first room didn't have a washing machine but the host was nice and responsive and moved us to another bigger room for free the day after!

Enes the Hotel Manager went above and beyond for us. Gave us a Sim card to borrow during our stay, Metro card to get cheaper metro fares, though we ended up taking UBER taxis everywhere. He even provided the umbrellas and it rained on our 3rd day, so it came in handy! 15 mins walk to the city center and 200 lira ride to the airport (with UBER). There is no breakfast facility in the hotel but lots of good quality and low cost restaurants close by. Thank you so much. He helped me to find a local Dentist. He literally assisted us a lot and made our trip enjoyable and less stressful.

I wish I had the room with the sea view balcony! Everything else was perfect.

Everything was great, I felt so at home. Loved the location really cool and authentic, my room was decorated so beautifully, like modern Anatolian vibes, the shower was good, had the best nights sleep, and the kitchen was fully equipped. There is no doubt that I'd stay here again, I'm actually making plans to buy the little studio flat 😁

There are some stairs to the flat. Not necessarily a negative but letting you know incase of any mobility issues or heavy luggage. Mr Enes helped me with mine but I think he was being kind, probably best not to go with that expectation ☺️

Enes was at the office ready to greet us, he made us coffee and we had a friendly chat which made us feel very welcome after our journey to Istanbul. He kindly upgraded our room so we had a slightly larger space than expected for no extra cost. We had everything we needed in the apartment and Enes was readily available to offer advice and tips for our stay.

The apartment's main room was a little chilly, although in fairness it was probably unusually cold when we stayed. Maybe a blanket for relaxing on the sofa at the end of the day for this time of year might be nice.

Located in the heart of Cihangir, the view from the apartment we had on the second floor was magnificent with a corner window looking straight out onto a small triangle square with a mosque. Cihangir is by far our favourite place in Istanbul, and these apartments took full advantage of that location, with bakeries below and restaurants and bars just 1-2 minutes down the street. The apartment we had was furnished beautifully with an cozy feeling of being at home. It literally felt like walking into your own living room. Apartments were also much bigger than expected. Bathroom was clean with a lovely big showerhead. Loved that there was a washing machine as well. Could stay there a month or two easily.

We had a slight misunderstanding on arrival about the time we should have picked up the keys, so just make sure you are 100% certain about the time you are picking up the keys as reception isn't always staffed. Also the door to our apartment was a bit old and thin - could probably do with a replacement.

Clean and nice modern flat. Very polite personnel but absence of 24/7 reception could create problems for tourists

Photo in booking is not the reflection what's in reality (at least for Cihangir). It's just downloaded picture from internet. I personally was caught on this trick.

The apartment is on the 5th floor in a very nice location, bang in the middle of a neighborhood with lot of restaurants, shopping etc. The apartment is smaller size, and you have to walk up 5 floors as there is no lift but the terrace outside the room more than makes up for it. The views are spectacular and you can see a lot of the major old town attractions from the terrace. Day and night, both offer amazing views. Check in was a breeze, Enes was very helpful and shared useful information that helped us plan our itinerary in Istanbul. There is a tram station close by (5-10 min) walk that takes you to all the major attractions. All in all, an excellent stay.

Nothing, all good. Not for people who have trouble climbing stairs.
