I loved this place. So easy to get to and so convenient. Proximity to Istiklal st and the Galata tower being Up and Grand bazaar being Down made this hotel very convenient. When we would come down from Istiklal we would stop at the hotel and drop off our goodies we bought rest and drink tea and head toward the grand bazaar! I had the fourth floor room with balcony. I loved stepping out there everyday. The staff is very polite and very helpful. My room was very comfortable and clean. The staff always cleaned it for me. I loved my included breakfast in the mornings. Hotel prices are very good compared to some other places I have stayed at before. Whenever I come back to Istanbul I will be definitely be staying here again!

Our stay at Fama Karakoy was a great experience. It is conveniently located at a walking distance from most attractions and 1 min walk to the tramway. The room we initially booked was a decent size, however, we got upgraded to a bigger room with a balcony on our second day. The hotel is very clean, everything is new and room cleaning service is on top. The breakfast was fresh, varied and really delicious. Coffee and tea are complimentary at any time of the day at the reception. The management people are very kind, warm and they are always ready to help guests with any request with a big smile. We are truly grateful for their sense of hospitality and thank you Fama Hotel for these nice memories.

Traveled with teenage son and stayed for 3 nights. For our needs, I am very happy that I choose this hotel. 1. The location = perfect. 200 meters from Galata bridge and no steep hills to climb. Less than 5 mins to metro, trams and boats. Walking distans from bazaars and mosques in the fatih-area. Quiet street in an outgoing neighborhood. 2. The "10" comes from feeling welcomed by the staff. Always nice and service minded but also with a natural friendlyness and care. Liked to relax in the lobby/dining room at evenings and drinking the complimentary tea. 3. Breakfast with a fresh made egg dish, an assortment of cheeses and fresh bread + more = I liked it. 4. Rooms: As some say, rooms arent super large, but large enough and attractively decorated. Also flawless cleaning.

Everything was perfect! The location is great, the facilities are very modern and clean and the staff is amazing, very friendly and accommodating, 10/10 recommended!

Maybe adding a protective film to the bathroom door to make it more private.

Location is very good. Central with easy access to tram, train and ferry. Topkapi palace is also a short walk away. Situated centrally in karakoy with lots of restaurants and close to bridge and eminonou with lots to do there and the seaside is a minute away. The hotel is good,new and modern.the lift is easily accessible and works perfectly. It is quiet and peaceful at night. Our stay was made comfortable with the staff offering cups of tea. Ferat looked after us and so did the staff on Thursday night. The staff at reception knew good english especially the one with longish hair.

The hotel is beautiful. Very well taken care of in every detail. It really is a boutique. Everything very clean, smelling, organized. The staff are very attentive. From the reception to the transfer to the airport, everything was done with great professionalism. The breakfast, served in the lobby is delicious: fruit, omelette, bread, cappuccino, cheese, cold cuts. Everything very well prepared. The hotel is 20 meters from a main avenue, with restaurants, and access to public transport on rails. When I left the hotel, I forgot my glasses in the room, and I was contacted by them, before I knew it, informing me of what happened and helping me to receive it at home. Fantastic. I recommend without any hesitation.

The room is beautiful, with all amenities (air conditioning, mini fridge, electric tea/coffee pot, wifi, artistic lighting). The only not so good point was the size of the room. As we had a longer trip, as we passed through other places before getting there, we had 4 suitcases (two carry-on and two larger). It was a little difficult to accommodate, but it was possible.

The hotel is super nice, well designed and clean. The location is perfect - just in the center of everything, few minutes away from the train station to Sultanahmet, 10 min walk away from Galata tower and Galataport. I loved how quiet the street was among all the hustle of the city and that the area is not as touristic as sultanahmet. But the best thing about the hotel is it’s personnel! They are so warm and kind and helpful! Special thanks to Selim for his help and good vibes. But everyone really was so welcoming and positive! I definitely had a great stay

We lived on the top floor. Here the rooms was large enough. We ate breakfast out of the hotel. Several good options exists nearby. Search in google maps for breakfast. Public transportation, the usage of the tram nearby was super great and convenient. The same Istanbulkart can also be used for the boats nearby. One card can be used for up to 5 passengers.

Air condition did not fully work to keep the temperature down. Low water pressure in the shower

The location was excellent, and the staff was probably the best I've ever come across. Both receptionists were exceptional. Alex greeted us at night when we arrived and helped us order the best kebabs for dinner since all the eating places would have been shut by that time. Osgur, the manager was super nice, polite and extremely helpful. Hattija was super nice! Our room was always clean and refreshed everyday with new towels and toiletries. She made us the best sandwiches on our way out to the airport complimentary because there wouldn't be anything open at that time. Overall, the hotel deserves a 10. I'd go there again and recommend anyone else to go there. What I will caution about it, THEY DO NOT HAVE DELUXE DOUBLE ROOMS THAT ARE 258 sq. ft. In fact even the Double is not 182 sq. ft. as advertised on Booking.com Both Alex and Osgur assured me that we had the largest room available (room 402 on the fourth floor) . It did have a terrace which I didn't need, want or use. But I paid the rate for a 258sq. ft. room as advertised on Booking.com and was disappointed that it was only 158 sq ft when I measured it (give it take a few since I used an android app) I think booking.com may have stiffed me and I will take it up with them. So maybe Don't book this place on booking.com, try and contact the hotel directly. OR, don't book the deluxe room. Just get the Double.

Don't book the Deluxe Double, They don't have it. The largest room is 158 sq. ft.

The best hotel ever I stayed in Istanbul. Very kind and polite staff. Delicious breakfast made by Hatitche are perfect, she made delicious pies for us right in the morning. Free coffee and turkish tea all day long. And also everyday cleaning is fine. I want to say thank you guys: Shan, Ozgur, Selim, Hatitche (I wish I wrote your names correctly), it was wanderfull staying at your hotel❤️
