Royal Stone Houses - Goreme

The staff was nice, they gave us delicious juice at check in and showed us to our room. The room was clean, large and beautiful. The breakfast was excellent, tasted great. Everything was fine.

It was a bit noisy, we could hear the neighbours. But it's nothing terrible.

Friendly staff, nice room, but not much of view on first floor. They also have a balloon ride company, makes me book the ride much easiler.

It is very difficult to find someone know this place from the taxi stand and bus station. I have to drag my wheeled luggage down a 400m long sand snd gravel paving without knowing that is the right direction. It is a challenge. They did provided car service to take me and my luggage back to the bus station when I leave.

Best thing about the property and the reason I selected the property was the ability to book the Royal Balloon flight. we could wake up later as the pickup and return point was the hotel. when the flight was cancelled it was also easy to reschedule. also the large rooms and great value for money. staff were also kind esp when we brought breakfast every morning back to our room for our daughter.

zero sound-proofing. we could hear every sound from above and next door. every time someone woke up at 2am to prepare for hot air balloon we could hear, people going up and down the stairs, the housekeeping at all times of the day chatting singing making the rooms, guests above us and next door walking slamming doors dropping things etc. it was exhausting and we rested poorly during our 4 nights. also not close to city centre took us at least 20 min to walk to goreme centre

I have not enough words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay in Royal Stone Houses. From the moment we've got out of our car, we had a good feeling about the hotel. There are plenty parking places in front of the hotel. The employees are all very, very nice, friendly and helpful. Good english speakers. The guys from reception helped us book our balloon flight (exceptional experience with Royal Balloon), get done the PCR tests for the kids for returning in our country directly at the hotel, they printed for us all the documents we needed for returning home. Mr. Ahmed from the restaurant was also very nice and kind. The triple room we've reserved was in the Queen House, 1st floor and had 1 queen bed, 1 single bed and a sofa that can be used for 2 people. The room was big enough, very clean, with beautiful furniture, confortable beds and all you might need in the bathroom. Everyday we've got refill with water bottles in our room. There are 2 TVs and 2 ACs in the room, hot water cup, tea and instant coffee. We also had a nice balcony with confortable furniture, perfect for a morning book reading. The breakfast was very good also, nothing to complain about. The hotel has a roof top terrace from where you can watch the balloons early in the morning. The distances from the center of Goreme but also from many of the touristic point of interest are really small. There is also a bus station aprox 300-400m from the hotel, with departures on many destinations. In conclusion, I totally recommend this hotel and hopefully we will have the chance to be here again sometime.

The staff was phenomenal. Our luggage was delayed due to a short connecting flight, and the airline/airport did not provide a lot of information or help. The hotel staff and the airport transport company went the extra mile to help us get our bags back. In particular, the manager of the hotel had to call 3+ different numbers to track down where one of our suitcases was. Their knowledge of the systems involved and how to navigate them was crucial. The staff was generally very friendly and eager to help and answer any questions we had (I probably went to the front desk and asked them 10 or so questions throughout our stay). The breakfast was great. The room was comfortable and very nice (clean and quiet). The location was very close to the downtown and many of the hikes we wanted to do. Their rooftop terrace offers great views for the hot air balloons.

First of all I would like to thank each and every staff member of this place (both day& nights shifts)f or helping out with our luggage problem. Our bags didn't arrive with us and they're the ones who were constantly contacting Turkish airlines (for language reasons) till we retrieved them back. They're even the ones who got us the bags with their shuttle drivers, that was in 2 different airport trips without asking for any money in return. The hotel itself is perfect. It's a 10 minute walk to the city center, it's relatively new and well mentained, rooms are spacious and clean. Everyday rooms service is very good as well and they supply daily water bottles, along with coffee & tea. Breakfast was very tasty, a good variety of pastries, cold cuts, beef sausage, eggs (scrambled/omlette), olives, oats, croquettes/spring rolls, tea and cofee section as well as a fruit section. The guy at the breakfast is really nice and he would greet you in the morning with a smile, these guys do an amazing job with the breakfast. The hotel also has a great and affordable airport shuttle service, for 10€ per person which we used both on our way back from& to the hotel. The driver was on time in both times, the van is very clean with a good A/C The hotel has a terrace that has an amazing unblocked view of the air balloons in the morning so that was a huge plus as well. I really recommend this hotel to everyone and would definitely come again if I'm back in Cappadocia. Thanks again guys!

The staff was so considerate and helpful-- when I arrived, they offered to pause the construction going on below my room so I could sleep! They also gave me some delicious juice on arrival. The breakfast was really delicious and had great variety. There were different hot foods each day, as well as cheeses, breads, yogurt, cereals, boiled eggs, juices, etc, etc. My room was quite spacious and had a fridge and balcony. It seemed quite clean, and you could press a button if you wanted your room to be cleaned each day. The location is very good, although you do have to cross a highway to get to the larger business area of Goreme. Not a big deal at all, though. There are also some very good restaurants nearby this hotel that I probably wouldn't have seen if I had stayed in the busier area (again, it's a 5 minute walk there). Overall great experience!!

I didn't know how or who to ask for more toilet paper, clean towels, etc. I got them from the desk, but it would have been nice if these were replaced without me having to ask.

Amazing place to stay in Goreme! we booked not a cheapest room but it was really nice! Very good breakfast, cleaning service, as usually you can pay in TL or EUR, card and cash. Highly recommend to flight with their partners: Royal Balloon (hotel provide small discount and you save some time in the morning because they start and finish real trip here, so other people from other hotels spend a longer time to pickup from other hotels) Note: we visited all places in Cappadocia by car so not sure how well is this location without car. For dinner I strongly recommend WOOD FIRE BARBEQUE. You can get there very good steaks and prices are much better than in many other places around.

Coffee on breakfast definitely is not a best (common problem indeed) At first we stay in nice room on 1st floor, but asked to change it because sounds from draining water in the pipe were incredible! Then we moved to last floor and all problems solved! So recommend ask for it on check-in

The room was better than I expected, like a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was great, lots of variety. We stayed for 2 nights and I had not sampled all the pastries yet, maybe next time. The hotel staffs were very responsive and they answered questions that I had even before my stay very promptly. I booked my balloon ride with them too and it was an experience of a life time. The hotel is the meeting place for the Royal Balloon so it was really convenient. There were parking in front of the hotel.

Internet in our room kept dropping, and the staff didn't know why and was not able to fix it. Had to use the internet server in the lobby which does not have signal when we are in the room. There are lots of road construction in that section of Cappadocia so it can be dusty, and lots of unpaved road.

A good value for money hotel. Friendly staff, hearty breakfast, clean. There is a terrace with a great 360° view. In the morning we could watch air balloons flying from our room without getting out of bed.

The heating radiator is installed only in the bathroom. The room itself is heated with air conditioning, which is very inconvenient when you stay in the room in winter. The air conditioner stops working when you take out the key and leave the room. You end up coming back to a cool room. Also, the room lacks a wardrobe for outerwear. It would be nice to equip the room with some kind of hanger.
