Legendha Sukhothai Hotel - SHA certified

Perfect location: 15 min walk to historical park and old Sukhothai center. The hotel is on the river, with a lot of vegetation arround, you can feel like being in a jungle with lots of singing birds in the morning. I could sleep with open window no need aircon. Excellent breakfast. Staff can call a tuk tuk for your trip to historical sites. Every evening there is a performance on site by local students. Food in a restaurant is nice.

Pillows were very hard but upon request soft pillows were provided. A lot of mosquitos everywhere but hotel is on the river in a jungle. Good repelent was provided and another one I bought in 7/11 so this problem was also solved. A pool open only from 9 am.

This hotel is dreamy. Start by crossing a wooden bridge that will lead you to the reception area. Admire the surroundings, the trees, flowers, statues and water features. Our room was very spacious and quiet. A few meters away you'd find the swimming pool, perfect to relax in the afternoon after walking/cycling in Sukhothai. At night we would stay put and have dinner at the hotel's restaurant (where also breakfast is served in the mornings). The food was delicious and its presentation was picture perfect. The breakfast was amazing and the best way to start the day and give you energy to go sightseeing. Staff was kind, helpful and polite. We will definitely be going back.

We should have stayed longer

We enjoyed our stay at Legendha. The room was large-ish, the bed comfortable and the shower really good. Breakfast was OK with a good choice, and nice to sit looking over the water. And speaking of water, the pool was great - clean and never crowded. It is probably one of the closer venues to the Historical Park, although it is still a decent walk in to town (about a km).

The WiFi was not fantastic - would drop out a bit - but that has been our experience at most accommodation outside Bangkok. I agree with some other reviewers - it would be good if they provided bikes, either free or for hire, on site, rather than us having to walk into town in the heat to get one. The financial impact of the COVID close down is evident at the resort, with some areas being a bit tired or not functional - eg some of the displays and some of the things that were supposed to be on offer, even thought their website still mentions them. But hopefully now that tourists, local and international, are coming in they will be able to return to their former 'glory'. But having said that. most of the place was just fine and we had a good time.

The restaurant at the Legendha is excellent. No need to go anywhere else. The dinner we had the evening we arrived was delicious. The vegetables were so fresh. We enjoyed the breakfast too. There were many choices both western and Thai. The hotel is about 1km from the entry to the Central Zone. We had our own van but the hotel can provide a drop off/pick up, I believe. Too hot and too far to walk otherwise. Bicycles are available for hire at the Park which we enjoyed in the cool of the afternoon. The hotel is well set out with gardens and traditional bungalows. Out the back entrance is an ancient Chedi in a beautiful setting.

The hotel is a big property and the pool got quite crowded with other guests and we weren't able to enjoy it.

Restaurant menu is good; the food tasty and reasonably priced - included buffet breakfast great; hotel grounds beautifully laid out. Pool big enough to do some lengths; rooms spacious and clean. Massive plus points to the staff who were friendly, from the management to the pool cleaners and very helpful.

I would have given excellent but it is on the pricey side compared to the competition. Also one booking site would only offer the room for an additional 1000 Baht per night for an extra bed we did not need. The little bit of allotted "patio" space for each room needs a table with the chair. Mosquitos at the open air restaurant; noted that spray is provided on each table.

The rooms and the breakfast were great, and so was all the staff at the resort. It was in a fantastic location for people who want to visit the Sukhothai historical park. We used to bike everyday. And there is even a temple ‘Wat Chang Lom’ right behind the resort that we could see from our balcony. Overall a wonderful, peaceful stay.

There was nothing to dislike.

A very good hotel with polite and helpful staff. Big,clean rooms, nice but quite small pool, excellent breakfast and dinner. Our room looked at a stupa which was marvellous. The hotel had a nice decoration and was very picturesque.

Upon arrival the girl at the reception seemed not to know that we were coming, so she asked us if we had booked and things like that and she gave us a different room from the one that we had booked. The receptionist on duty the next day solved the problem. Furthermore, the price they asked for a car to pick us from/to the airport and take us to a historic park was very expensive.

Beautiful gardens and comfortable beds. Most of the staff were friendly although they did not speak English. This made even ordering food difficult

Bathrooms need upgrading. Massages over priced and staff constantly receiving and checking text messages during the massage so as well as being expensive it was not relaxing. Restaurant and bar closes very early and as there is nothing within easy walking distance at night we had no option but to return to our room.

Good breakfast and very kind/friendly staff. They also recommended the traveling place and how to get there in Sukhothai. The hotel is in a great location in the old town. We enjoyed a good time to walk around the hotel. Many places for sitting and relaxing time. The room applied with Thai tradition and modern style. The restaurant is also perfect!

I could hear the noise from the next room such as the sound of pressing water and the hair dryer is too small for a thick-haired person.

Located about 1.3km outside the walled historical park it is set back from the road so is very quiet. We stayed in room 108 which set in a beautiful square with green and trees at the centre. They are bungalow type rooms, very spacious with lovely decoration. They were very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool was lovely and sparklingly clean with enough sun loungers and plenty of towels. Breakfast was good with a choice of western and Thai food. All of the staff were friendly and professional (and worked so hard). We hired Bicycles from town although I would say avoid the first large hire shop you come to as the quality and maintenance are poor; keep going around the corner past the entrance to the park and look at the other two. Unless you use tuk tuks bicycles are essential to get into town and see all of the fabulous ruins and chedis etc. Check out the elephant Chedi behind the hotel (Wat Chang Tom I think). Food - we ate at Sinvana (left hand side as you go towards town; excellent food and reasonable cost. There is a restaurant opposite the hotel which was ok and another one just in the town on the right hand corner of the road which has a sign to Sukhothai Garden Hotel which was excellent. Bar - we only found one bar (left hand side past the city wall before you get to Baitong; really friendly and they shown UK football.
