Banyan Tree Samui - SHA Extra Plus

The staff were impeccable - almost like they were using intuition to suggest what more we could do/use/need. Its like they imagined our wishes and fulfilled them with a smile. They were humble and very personable. All in all the extraordinary thing was that the staff were so kind, happy, and appeared genuinely to enjoy our surroundings as me as we did. The collaboration between the staff was tangible in every area. We loved the beach area which included the equipment and staff all of which was supported by excellent service. Breakfast catered for western tastes however we were very happy that the chef went beyond the menu and provided us with special vegetarian local cuisine. The villa was extremely comfortable allowing sufficient space for 2 people to enjoy it and the surrounding pool and external recreation area. The privacy of our villa was important and we were not disappointed. The view was fantastic. Housekeeping was sensitive to our needs and always fitted in to remake the room at odd hours when we left the resort. The bed was terrific. We were so comfortable. Really all the facilities in the villa were faultless. The interior design of the villas coupled with the style of furniture and most importantly the quadruple headed rose on the shower were an inspiration. The complimentary toiletries were of high standard. We would like to make special mention of the following staff members with whom we formed a personal connection and who made our stay such a happy one. Pab (our daily morning EV Buggy driver who also provided a big surprise to my Partner who was celebrating her birthday and he decorated his buggy with a happy birthday banner). It was fantastic. Sali - a buggy driver; Phan, Bhang,Fahruk and the rest of the beach staff; Pla - supervisor in the breakfast room. He was wonderful; Annie, sky (who went and purchased mangosteen's for us ); Tai in the breakfast room with John (sous chef). And lastly thank you Rainer!

We really enjoyed being picked up from the airport by a Banyan car and staff member and being delivered to the resort. The same occurred in reverse when we left after our stay. Even the presence of a Banyan staff member at the airport who saw us through check in and bag drop gave us a feeling of continuous support and superb service of Banyan. We feel this taxi/car service could be provided as a complimentary service particularly to those guests who stay longer as we did for 13 nights.

The Room and Private Pool was very large, clean and fabulous. Smart TVs were easy to use with casting. Bed and Linens were very comfortable. Breakfast service and all staff were lovely. The Property is Beautiful!

There is a very bright light that lights up the room at night from the on wall aircon temp control screen. There needs to be a way to cover it or turn it off. or bring dark tape.. Guests who want to see more than a tiny glimpse of the ocean need to book a direct ocean view room as our partial ocean view would more correctly be described as a lovely garden view.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve visited over 90 countries and stayed in the worlds most luxurious hotels. From start to finish, this hotel exceeded all expectation. Fantastic is the only world that can describe this

Absolutely stunning villa and location - the grounds are immaculate and the service was certainly 5* from check-in to check-out. Khun Pla was super helpful and made us feel right at home and all staff were so friendly! Really helpful with arranging a necessary PCR test for us offsite at the local hospital.

Saffron was unfortunately lacking a bit of atmosphere and the ambiance could certainly be improved.

Perfect getaway hidden in the woods overlooking the sea. Lovely location away from the main towns.Service amazing . Villa comfortable. On the beach . Food very good. Recommend totally.

Only small point if I am been really picky . If want to have a beer or two no actual bar with any atmosphere . Although can stay and drink after your meal and indoor lobby area bar . so this was a really minor detail that did not spoil our holiday in anyway I suppose this in keeping with the total relaxing experience .

We loved EVERYTHING about this property. The breakfasts were amazing, the view, the room with private swimming pool... But the most outstanding part of Banyan Tree Samui are the staff. They provide absolutely exceptional customer service and are always so kind and lovely to deal with. We loved how our room was 'made up' before bed with the candle lit, foot slippers beside the bed & new towels etc. Our host 'Golf' was amazing, he is very good at his job and is a lovely person too. Thank you Golf for making our stay so special. We will be back again! 🥰

Our host GIGI, "the magician" was we used to call her, would make sure that EVERY wish and request were fulfilled with the utmost urgency and care. Their warmth and genuine care (Jed, Eng, Gig, Stramp, etc) create an atmosphere that feels like home, albeit a home in paradise. The personalized service, from the friendly greetings to the meticulous housekeeping, exceeded my expectations at every turn. Dining at the resort is a culinary journey in itself. We had an amazing dinner experience at Saffron. Banyan Tree Koh Samui goes beyond being a luxurious resort; it's a holistic sanctuary for the senses. The backdrop of the ocean breeze and the soothing sounds of nature, are a transcendental experience. It's not just a stay; it's a rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The resort's commitment to excellence, paired with its idyllic location and exceptional service, creates a haven for those seeking an unforgettable retreat. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

If I had to mention anything would be the prices at the Spa, which seemed a bit overpriced.

I loved the view from every area of the hotel and from the room. The floating breakfast over the pool was breathtaking. We were celebrating our anniversary and they prepared the banio, placed happy anniversary towel swans on the bed and took a picture and printed it for us. they even gave us cake to celebrate. it was exceptional treatment. the massage was amazing. we enjoyed our stay so much

it’s hard to walk from the room to other hotel facility because the rooms are built on hills and it is very steep to walk, you need to call for a golf cart every time you want to go out of the room I wish there were stairs

Luxury and service from the moment you arrive! We were greeted warmly and with refreshments, our room was upgraded to the honeymoon suite for our special visit. The staff was attentive and so kind and the property is absolutely stunning. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations! We will stay at the Banyan Tree anywhere they have a location.

One of the most amazing hotels we’ve stayed at in the world!!! Banyan is worth the splurge, the best sleep we’ve had, pool was absolutely amazing, breakfast was top quality. Private beach access with complimentary snorkel gear, etc.
