Lanta Riviera Resort - SHA Extra Plus

Very friendly & helpful staff at the reception. We stayed in a family room (kids 12 & 6 in a bunkbed), the room was clean (daily housekeeping on request), airco worked well, no bugs, good shower. The restaurant was fine, although we only really used it for breakfast. The onsite bar is basically an Amsterdam-style reggae coffeeshop that doesn't only sell coffee. Bit of a funny combination considering the accommodation is geared towards families/children, not really to backpackers. Anyway, we didn't mind and we liked the somewhat alternative, informal atmosphere. The beach is nice but swimming is nearly impossible due to all the rocks in the water. Renting motorbikes is recommended to get around the island. Doing the 4 island tour (bookable through the hotel) is recommended, so is visiting the cave. The location is pretty good with quite a few shops and restaurants nearby. Personally i would prefer staying on Klong Nin beach next time as i feel the restaruants along that beach are a bit cosier but i def wouldn't mind staying at this property again.

Some maintenance & paint work around the pool area would do wonders. It looks like that didn't happen for quite a while.

This place is a little gem on a beautiful stretch of beach. Bit rocky but overall good Wasn't too sure when we pulled up but our beach chalet was lovely. Clean and seconds from beach. OK.the shower is a bit ropey!!!and the mattress a bit hard but personal preference that's all. The bars on the beach are chilled and such fun, live bands amazing sunsets. Lovely food at nearby restaurants. The vibe is just brilliant. Wished we had stayed longer but we already had somewhere else booked 😒

We liked the pool and slides a lot, since we were traveling with a 4 year old. The rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly. The front desk can help organize all kinds of trips. The facilities were outdated. It may have been because we visited during low season.

The restaurant was really poorly. I don’t say this often, but the food was really really bad. I even got food poisoning. We ended up going to the neighbors for every mail (they had a lovely restaurant and menu!!). The shower in our hotelroom could only go on two modes; cold or HOT!! That was a bit unpleasant.

We stayed in v2 which is one room away from the beach. It is basically on the beach with a massage stall set up. The restaurant is right in the beach front too. We rented a scooter from the resort which was easy and stress free. The rooms were kept clean by the staff. Gardeners kept on top of the upkeep. We loved it there. You could just step right out on the beach and watch sunset. There was also a reggae style bar next door which was great.

We did have ants in our room but didn’t bother telling reception. As it’s so close to the beach it had to be expected.

Location directly at the beach, which was really nice. Laundry service right next door, helpful and nice staff. Food was very good, breakfast was not buffet style but enough and they were very flexible. Massage parlor right next to it at the beach.

The AC didnt work properly but it kept the room cool enough. Since weed is legal in Thailand, there were weed-bars all over the place, one obvsl on the premises, so you had the constant weed smell at the beach.

Nice, family-friendly hotel. Nice pool area and slide for kids. Good, big rooms and good basic breakfest. Beautiful spot and nice views.

Bar area is beautiful and would have been nice to relax there but cannabis smelled constantly and with kids and for this otherwise family-friendly-place it didn´t suit at all. It's annoying that you can no longer travel to Thailand with children without having to smell the stench of cannabis

we were staying in rooms D6 and D7. we were family with 2 small kids and it was interconnecting bungalows which were perfect for us. initially booked only for 1 night, but we loved place so much that we stayed there for the rest 2 weeks we had left on Koh Lanta Island. also manager gave us good price when we booked directly through her. kids loved swimming pool with the slide🛝 and my little 2 year old boy loved little pool with little baby slide. we met quite few families that extended their stays because of location convenience and water slides. perfect location on the beach, very romantic and relaxing, although quite busy so doesn’t feel dead. staff very friendly and helpful. bungalows newly renovated. massage beds on the beach for 400baht 1hr massage. if we ever go to Koh Lanta we would definitely stay there again. we felt like at home there.

Bungalow was good. Furniture a little old, but enough space. I had to change rooms and the second one was too dark, do the receptionist had to call someone to install light bulbs that were missing.

On the first bungalow I stayed there were cockroaches crawling out of the bathroom every nicht. On the 3rd night having to kill cockroaches, I asked for a room change but the receptionist refused to give me a room upgrade and simply gave me the bungalow in the back. There was also a roch on that one but thankfully it was just 1.

The pool with the slide was great for the kids, our apartment overlooked the pool and we had a sea view so we extended our stay as we enjoyed it so much. they have a chilled out bar, the restaurant is ok for food but there are also lots within walking distance along the beach especially the coco one next door, and on the main road. This was one of our favourite places in Thailand. we hired mopeds and drove around the island, There are waterfalls, elephants, boat trips etc to see/do. This place also has a good gym.

They only came to clean our room after day 5. They need to have daily emptying of bins and a quick sweep of the apartment would have been good. we had to take a brush from the bar to do this ourselves and emptied the bins into the communal bin and ask for towels. this is the only reason this place could not get 10 out of 10. If they sort this easy fix it would be much better.

great pool for the kiddos and playful adults:) decent restaurant with a fine selection of western and Thai food. nice reggae music from the neighbors bar, and good opportunities for a sea view massage as well. good value for money compared to other islands like koh lipe. relaxed beach vibes. very friendly and helpful staff. low key and family friendly property. very clean:)

the bathrooms could use a little tcl. drippy faucet and low water pressure in the shower.
