Baan Lung Poshtel

Clean, comfortable in any way! Beds are comfortable, even tho I stayed in a shared room because the way the rooms are designed you still have your own privacy. Perfect furniture to leave your stuff well allocated.(is kinda new) Many toilets and showers to use in the common areas(so not just the typical one and does it) super clean everywhere!!! They have a kitchen downstairs with coffe and water, and outside a little cafe area that belongs to the place where you can have a nice breakfast. The owner is very nice and have a good English which is a bonus. Good location next to the North Gate jazz bar if you are planning to have a drink in the evening, close to night markets and located in a peaceful and clean road. The best hostel I stayed in in Thailand!

The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious enough for everyone's luggage. There's a kitchen with a fridge toaster and microwave. The atmosphere is more laid-back. You can socialise with others if you want to but can keep to yourself as well. When I was there they organised a group activity, making lanterns for the festival. Super fun! The best thing about this hostel is the incredibly sweet owner. She will help you with almost anything you need. Very caring! Also there's a cat!

The only thing I didn't like were the many mosquitoes in the room. I had to kill at least 3/4 every day because all the doors are kept open when they clean.

A comfortable and clean hostel in a good area for exploring Old Town. I booked a private room on the main floor with its own bathroom, so I'm reviewing that vs. the shared dorm rooms. Comfortable beds, quiet area and a quiet hostel at night. Cute little kitchen area where you can sit, plus there's a small patio out front. You can order breakfast there. The owner is so kind and ready to assist you with anything you need. Recommended!

First, my heartfelt thanks go to my host and her great team for their kindness and priceless hospitality. She also deserves a special thank for her effort to make my - very late - check in as smooth as possible. Baan Lung Poshtel is a hidden gem for those who admire an affordable, peaceful stay with good management, and a lovely cat 😍… Cleanliness conscious people will trully appreciate Baan Lung and its rules as well… Their cappuccino and yoghurt muesli is highly recommended for the breakfast 😋👌

This was probably the best host I had in my whole life. Absolutely incredible! Extremely helpful with everything, from tours, recommendations, bookings, and a lot of other small things. The location is great, in a lovely area that is really calm and quiet. Having breakfast on the terrace there is truly amazing. The private room was very, very clean, the A/C worked perfectly, the bathroom was pretty big and clean, the bed was comfortable, there isn't anything that I disliked. I wish I could have stayed more, but I will definitely book this place again when I'm in Chiang Mai.

The owner is so nice, sweet, and funny! I felt like I was staying at my Aunt’s house. The common room also makes you feel this way as you chat with other solo travels. Not extremely social, but very cozy and you can still met people here. The owner also has great deals for day trips and I would recommend asking her about them. The bed are very comfortable as well with good ac.

There are no lockers, but I didn’t have any problems. You can also ask the owner to take care of your stuff. Personally I recommend bring your own lock for a suitcase if you’re really concerned, but I wouldn’t turn this place a way on this sole issue.

Very kind owner, she helped us enter the hostel very early in the morning after a night bus from Bangkok. Extremely clean!! The common shower/toilets are regularly cleaned and a good number for everyone. The hostel has a very nice cafe just outside if you want to have breakfast. Very good location.

Very small spaces, the common area is mainly outside on the tables of the café. The mattresses are very hard and there is no curtain on each bed so the overall sleep quality could be improved.

Everything from dorms, to showers, to toilets, to floors were exceptionally clean. They cleaned the rooms and made the bed daily. The breakfast is YUMMY and the host is unbelievably sweet and kind! Rooms had a little balcony so you hang anything wet. The location was perfect and also the tour prices were slightly cheaper to book through the hostel than going into town. I would definitely come back here!! Infact I extended my 3 day stay into a week. Loved it (I'm 32 and usually stay in private rooms or hotels, but this was fabulous. Small but perfectly formed)

the woman running the hostel was so kind and helpful, she helped me to figure out extending my visa and was very lovely in general big comfortable beds, felt very private and calm in the dorms which was what I was after the other guests were nice too, social if you want it to be (chatting outside on the patio/cafe) I ended up extending a few days here great kitchen facilities too

the breakfast at the cafe could've been slightly cheaper or offered a discount for guests
