1999 B&B0

A really charming B&B with cute, distinctive rooms and decor in a great part of Hualien. I walked to the night market and there was a great row of restaurants just around the corner, including an incredible cart that does rice balls for breakfast. (They typically sell out before 9am!) I enjoyed the spacious bathroom with soaking tub and the view from the room and balcony over the treetops and rooftops.

Travelers should be aware that this property doesn't have all the amenities of a big hotel. There is no elevator; my room was up two flights of stairs, though the host kindly carried my (heavy!) suitcase up when I arrived. The front desk is not staffed 24/7 though they communicated well about this before check-in and I was even let into my room early. At check-out, I ended up being on my own to find a cab to the train station, though this was due to an atypical personal emergency and the host was very apologetic and did communicate when I reached out via What's App. Visitors are asked to leave their shoes downstairs and change into slippers upon arrival -- not unusual for a B&B or home in Taiwan, but may be a change of pace for some Western visitors. Just good to know!

The whole B&B was spotless. The room was decorated in a very individual quirky style and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. There was complimentary coffee, tea and cookies available in the lobby area. Plus it was an excellent location easy walking distance to the main shopping street with loads of restaurants and a very nice vegetarian restaurant just 1 minute away. 10 minutes walk to the night market too.

Everything was excellent. The owner is a very nice, warm, and helpful person, has great English, and is very active in communication all the time. The place is very fancy, with beautiful equipment, free coffee, a parking place, etc. Also, there are many restaurants and breakfast places around. We strongly recommend this wonderful place for your stay in Hualien!

Very nice design, very comfortable bed, spacious room, super friendly host, nice bathroom, amazing breakfast, perfect location next to the centre, good communication, all in all it was an amazing value for the money, highly recommended!

Maybe the check In schedule is a little bit tight, partly due to public holidays (15:00 to 18:00) , but we organized ourselves accordingly.

Lovely stay. Comfortable, big and well decorated room, balcony and bathroom (with a bathtub); good breakfast cooked for you on the spot + a different menu every day; very nice and helpful staff (the dogo riding the motorcycle with his master is a lovely sight); good location with restaurants and minimart nearby, space for car parking

The staff of this accommodation is outstanding and very friendly. They have gone through great lengths to help me with a problem I had that had nothing to do with the B&B or my stay there. I am very grateful!

The room was well designed, clean, and had everything I needed for my 3-day stay in Hualien.

It will be great if breakfast is included.

The house is sparkly clean and the room is big. Staff are super friendly. The place is in great location, only 10 min walk to Dongmen night market and 30 min to Taroko Gorge National Park

The bed might be a bit short for tall foreigners.

Interesting and very well-decorated room themes. The location of the accommodation is excellent with many eateries and shops within walking distance. The staffs were very friendly as well!

Everything. Location, kindness of owners, quietness, size of the room, breakfast, parking... Everything you look for in a hotel. I would recomend it to anyone visiting Hualien.
