Hotel Limmatblick

We chose this hotel because it was close to the station as we were on a rail trip holiday. It was very nice with rooms overlooking the river. The rooms are a good size and well equiped although bare polished concrete might not be to everybody's taste. They don't offer meals or breakfast but have a lively bar and good drinks. The road behind the hotel is filled with nice places to eat and finding breakfast was easy. Some lovely walks into town are just over the river.

All good would recommend.

I'd like to express my gratitude to Irina, who was at the hotel reception. She was incredibly friendly, kind, and responsive! Our check-in experience was greatly assisted by her, and she provided us with valuable information about the city. Additionally, she helped us purchase railway tickets for our upcoming journey to another city. We had a breathtaking view from our window of the city, the river, and the embankment. I must highlight the superb positioning of the hotel, which added to the overall positive experience. Many thanks for facilitating a truly delightful time during our stay at the hotel!

It's less than 10 minutes walk from Zurich HB. Room is clean. There is a small refrigerator availableใ

There is no kettle for boiling water.

The location was amazing. Right in the heart of everything, shops, food, the train, entertainment. The staff was nice and accommodating.

I kind of felt dupped. The "delux room" wasn't very delux. It was supposed to have a eating area, queen bed and sofa. It only had a bed. It was much smaller than i expected. And to top it off, rather than respond to the email i sent the owner about the room not matching the description, he ignored me and simply changed the description on the room so it would it be more accurate. Great hotel but if there's a problem, don't expect it to get solved or even get a response.

Good location, within walking distance of places of interest and eateries. Comfortable bed and modern bathroom

Poor breakfast, not value for money! Aircon not functional for entire stay and nothing done about it, even when we complained twice. The fact that manager was never present to fix problems and bar staff didn’t have any authority to do so on his behalf. This place needs to decide wether it’s a bar or a hotel, as at present hotel customers seem to be an afterthought. Bar staff although very welcoming and helpful told us that they are frustrated at having to field customers complaints because manager is never on site.

The hotel's location is excellent. From the airport we got on a tram to Central and from there the hotel was just a stone's throw away. It's also quite near to the main train station. There are plenty of shops and restaurants around it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had trouble working out how to use the key; they patiently helped me with that. They also let us store our bags during the day after our stay, so we didn't have to check them into lockers while we toured Zurich.

The room is small, but I expected that. The airconditioning unit in the room had some issues (it didn't blow cold air despite being set to 17 degrees C), but since the temperature in Zurich got cool at night, and we only stayed one night, it didn't cause us any big problems. Might be an issue for longer staying guests, though.

it was a cute little hotel in the town centre, very close by SBB trains and trams. Location is the high light, with everything close by including a coop. Our family room was spacious with comfortable beddings and had all the required amenities with a lake view. Hotel was decently maintained (not high end though), the rooms and toilets were clean. They had a bar in-house. Prime highlight were the friendly staffs, very helpful and supportive. They did store my luggage free of charge as I had to an early check out. Housekeeping requires applause for making up the room.

Nothing to specify. It’s not an high end hotel, and it won’t be a problem as it’s a decent place to sleep and with the support offered by the staff. I felt the breakfast offerings was mediocre, but for the price 14p.p it was economical for me compared to city restaurants and to save time.

The location was perfect and easy to get to. It was very clean with friendly staff. Our room faced the back alley and the windows were very sound proof. The bed was also comfortable with working air-conditioning so we slept very well. We forgot our adapter and they let us borrow one for the duration of our stay, free of charge. The room size was great for two people.

The only problem, the TV and the safe didn't work but I don't think that warrants a bad rating because it was a pleasant stay.

Just a few hundred meters from the train station it was very easily walkable. It is along the riverfront so very scenic and there are numerous restaurants and bars in the immediate area. The lobby of the hotel is actually a bar as well, so you don't even have to leave the building to have a cocktail.

There were a couple of maintenance items that needed attention. Refrigerator didn't work and a sagging shelf in the bathroom and a very slow drain in the shower. Non of these really affected our stay, but should have been attended to.

Superb location just, 5 minutes walk from the train station and close to everything (historic center etc).. very nice room although on the small side but we already new that.. very nice view to the river, very nicely and tastefully decorated and clean..

The bar on the lobby had some (not all) "strange" people and had loud music (turning to a bar!!) some times and we had to pass through it to go to our room and that was uncomfortable with our child.. also the corridor outside our room and the helping spaces was not very nice to see and a bit of a mess.. also in our departure day the person at the lobby gave us a huge misleading information about the cost of the taxi that was outside to take us to the airport, claiming that it would be 15-16 swiss francs maximum and we end up paying 67!! Francs..
