The hotel is just 5 mins away by foot from Zermatt Bahnhof and having an excellent location in the Bahnhofstrasse. The room was spacious & clean for 3 people and it matched the provided description & pictures. They provide a mini fridge and hair dryer in the room. Breakfast was included as part of the room and it is a fixed menu of cheese, breads, eggs, fruits, muesli, cereal, yogurt, milk, juices, meats etc. You have to climb a short set of stairs to reach the ground floor and they have an elevator then to reach the higher floors. It perfectly fulfilled our purpose of visiting & exploring Zermatt& the Matterhorn and would recommend it to other travellers coming for the same purpose.

The bathroom was a bit small and the design didn't allow for a lot of movement.

Hotel was located close to the train station and the main shopping venue. A very convenient location. Our room was in the back of the building and had a very large balcony with a great view. We didn't expect that. The staff was attentive, and the breakfast was good. Note that the shower and toilet were in the bathroom, and the sink and medicine cabinet were in the main room. This arrangement was neither bad nor good for us, it worked well. And finally, the area that the hotel was located in was quiet, and didn't disturb sleeping.

The only downside to our room was that the shower was quite small, and the actual bedroom itself was tight. But neither of these were deal breakers.

Location was really convenient, several minutes of walk form the train station, really helpful for us since the weather was raining on the day of arrival.the stairs are surprisingly wide comparing to some hotels even in metro cities such as Bern, or Geneve. Staff was friendly to lent us a electric plug converter so that the US type plugs can be used in the room. Breakfast is included in the room fee, and has had plenty of options.

Room is quite compact, luckily we are light travelers, and don't have a lot of bags. There is no USB charging ports or other EU standard outlet for plugs, however the front desk has one to borrow from.

Great location, spacious rooms

Minor thing I found with most European hotels…the pillows.

Location was great. Room was super clean and comfortable. Check in (next door at sister hotel) was easy with friendly staff. The woman facilitating the breakfast was the BEST! So pleasant and helpful with any and all needs/requests.

The only item worth a critical comment was the shower. I was aware from previous reviews that the bathroom was a bit outdated, which for me, is a non-issue. Being in a single room on the top floor, the tub/shower ceiling was on an angle and required that I stoop a bit in order to stand under the shower; I'm a woman of average height. Managing this was not a big deal for me, but I can imagine for other, less agile travelers, it could be.

Room and bathroom were good for the price. Excellent location. Nice breakfast.

Nothing major. Reception in sister hotel next door so have to go there to check in and out. Their luggage storage could have been better. Would benefit from having a receipt system and found mine were kept outside the luggage room left unattended and someone had left some small discarded stuff on top of my suitcase.

Excellent value for money. Really close to everything. Check in was easy next door in continental hotel. The room was large and had a big terrace although too cold to sit out there. It was warm with plenty of space for clothing. Separate area with tv and table. Breakfast was excellent. Continental with lots of everything and the staff were constantly refilling it all. Only 2 star but I have stayed in 3 stars which were not as good. We stayed in room 12 on first floor. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Pillows were a bit flat for us!!

It's basic,, but immaculately clean, well maintained and the room was very spacious. We had comfortable beds, a good bathroom and shower, good storage (including a safe), a desk, a seating area with a couple chairs and a coffee table, plus a balcony. Everything you need, but without frills.

They could have used a couple posters on the walls (even cheap touristy ones) to give the room some colour, and help it feel less utilitarian, but that's only a minor grumble.

I stayed in a single room (twin bed) with a private bathroom, which was nice and very clean. The room had a terrace that is probably beautiful in warmer months. I LOVED the ski storage area with a boot warming rack and was grateful for the speedy lift. I didn’t realize breakfast was included and was a lovely surprise even if it was simple fair. It was very nice to have coffee order service and I enjoyed the espressos and cappuccinos. I was pleasantly surprised the hotel is as close to the train station and ski lift e-bus pickup/drop off spot as it is, as well as a ski rental shop and grocery store.

It’s an older property and VERY noisy. If I wasn’t wearing ear plugs, I could hear my neighbors singing in the shower, their phone buzzing, their tv, the lightest step above me, etc. It’s not very walkable to the Glacier Express gondola, which would have been a 20 minute walk uphill in ski boots if not for the e-bus. Thankfully, the closest e-bus station is the first pick up spot en route to the gondola, which means you don’t have to hope it’s not full upon pick up. The security lock box didn’t work but the staff was trustworthy. The Wi-Fi slowed during peak hours when everyone was in their rooms.

Everything, traditional Swiss Chalet style family hotel, rooms have everything you need, comfortable bed, good wardrobe space, multi channel tv hairdryer fridge, hi speed wifi, everything you can think of, simple, spotless and i could not fault the hotel. Breakfast included was continental and more than adequate. This lovely small hotel is situated just off the centre of the main street where all the shops bars and restaurants are and is only a short 5 min walk from the train station. A gem of a hotel. thankyou for your hospitality.
