From the google map n hotel information, u wouldn't know that, if u walk (about 15 mins to 20 mins), u need to walk uphill n downhill. Though the walk is quite pleasant with nice views but just imagine u walk with luggages! If u drive, this is a nice property for u. Bus runs from train station to hotel is once every hour n service stop in early evening. The hotel has a very nice restaurant n food is delicious.

Reception is not maned even during day time / office hours! Guess their main business is the restaurant.

1. the windows curtain is not dark enough, so we always wake up by the early sun very early 2. the clock in the nearby Schloss always clock on midnight, 6,8 at morning. 3. in restaurant you need to wait 40-50mins for service( maybe this is our fault,because my kid always choose internal table instead of crowd outside tables) and 2 times we pay 7CHF more because the same server always make mistake Kinder Manu into normal manu. Finally we do not ask for those money back just as part of our „Trinkgeld“

Excellent service/staff and superb location.

The room wasn’t that great. It was too warm at night, preventing us from falling asleep. The staff provided us a portable air conditioner, but that was too loud and didn’t help much. Besides that, the bed was too hard and uncomfortable.

The location is the key here. Absolutely tip of peninsula, right below the castle. Remarkably quiet at night. Unusual hotel. It’s not fully modern but it’s comfortable and friendly. We had the San Remo suite which had a very large balcony and fantastic views. Everything was fine but don’t expect a brilliant finish on items, it’s a little bit tired but it was fine for us and worth it for the view. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the best so far in Switzerland with a fantastic selection of fruit and everything else you could want. You can make your own coffee from a good machine and it’s self serve so you can take your breakfast right down to the waters edge. No better view anywhere. The restaurant served excellent food too and you need to book because it’s very popular. It’s very close to a swimming spot which you can see from the upstairs corridor. The castle is definitely worth a visit. Excellent permanent exhibition and worth the entrance fee.

The same as with every property so far in Switzerland - no air conditioning. This is becoming a growing problem with the heatwaves. At least you can open the door and it was quiet, so a plus on that score. There are no laundry facilities at the hotel or even an iron or ironing board.

The hotel is right by the water, so all of the rooms have stunning views over the lakes. The location of the actual hotel is also right by the pier, so it was easy to use the ferries to get around. It's also right next to Spiez Castle and is around a 20 minute walk from the train station. The room was a good size and had a fantastic view over the lake - you could also open the window all the way, so cool air can be let in, in the evening which made it very relaxing. The food at the hotel was also amazing! You can eat right on the water, with some of the most picturesque views over the lake and mountains.

The shower doors were quite tricky to open and close and they got stuck a few times.

Breakfast was ok with limited choices. Continental plus eggs and meat

It was a crazy hot week when we were there. I asked for a pedestal fan and they gave it. Without that it would have been unbearable

Nice room with friendly staff. I ate in the restaurant twice & the food was very good. The hotel was right by the ferry port so I enjoyed a boat ride to Interlaken. Breakfast was ok but could be improved. Nice to have a balcony. I liked the coffee machine on the landing. You can get a card from reception giving free bus transport from the hotel to the railway station which was very useful as it is a steep uphill walk otherwise. I enjoyed my stay.

Their were a couple of maintenance issues which I pointed out to staff, loose bedside table & a bedside lamp that had to be tapped to make it work, the other did not work at all. The lighting was good in the bathroom but poor in the bedroom. If you have the light on above the bed it reflects in the TV whilst watching it. I would have also liked more privacy on the balcony from neighbours & my view was partly blocked by a tree. I really would have liked net curtains at the patio window that could be opened when needed as I felt quite exposed & had to keep curtains drawn till dressed. The hotel states no smoking anywhere yet there were ashtrays on the balconies & I had to go back inside & shut my window when a neighbour was smoking.

Hotel was responsive and we arranged bag storage for our early arrival at 1300. Checked in, organised local city card, and left for the day's remaining activities. Arrived back at 2000 with bags in room - great start. Small Studio as advertised. Outstanding daily breakfast. Hotel staff supportive of requests. Stayed 7 nights as central location for train/ferry travel. Local bus leaves promptly at xx55, which ties in nicely with trains from Spiez.

The location was perfectly situated right on the water, with a lovely view. We booked the two room apartment, which exceeded our expectations. Not only did it have the two bedrooms, but a kitchen, dining area, and private balcony. It was so lovely we had dinner out on the balcony overlooking the water. The hotel could use a little TLC (chipped paint, outdated furnishings) but everything was working and it was easy to overlook the outdated issues for a great location.

No AC and small fans made it uncomfortable once we had to close the windows due to rain. A bigger fan or ceiling fan would have been preferable.

The location is close facing the lake.

Not a lot of parking lot.
