Hotel Station

Young Lorenzo at the front desk extremely welcoming and helpful. He helped us bring our luggage up the steps and was extremely courteous. Although the room did not have a kettle he procured one for us. Since we were going to explore the area by train, the location of the hotel was very convenient ( it's literally across the road) The restaurant connected to the hotel serves good food and is open till much later than other eating joints in Pontresina, so even if we returned late from our day trips we were assured a good meal

The location does not give you any view as there is the train station on one side and a parking lot as well as a road on the other. The rooms do not have any air-conditioning or fans so on a warm day it does get uncomfortable. The rooms were clean but basic - no kettle or mini bar The bathroom is really tiny. A well built person may find it extremely difficult to fit into the shower cubicle.

Great location - you can see the hotel from the train station, which requires only a short work even with large luggage (with wheels, of course). During our check-in a very friendly young man gave us good instructions about the neighborhood. He even helped us carry both big luggage down some stairs so we can move them into the elevator easily. Our room is clean and very quiet, with some view. The hotel seems pretty new too. Nice breakfast with the best bread we ever had among the five hotels we stayed during this trip. There is a good and reasonably priced (Switzerland standard) Italian restaurant in the hotel for dinner, and the waiters are all nice. Ours even hum nice songs.

There are 6 or 7 stairs that you have to carry your luggage up and down during check in or out. Need to ask for help if not strong enough.

We have been coming to this small hotel for over forty years and have never been disappointed. Quality of service and facilities has always been very good to excellent, prices are reasonable, rooms are nice and clean, complementary breakfast is superb and having an excellent restaurant / pizzeria in house means you don't have to go anywhere else in the evenings. Being right across from the train station (which is not overly busy) is always a major draw for us. You simply don't need a car to get around from here.

rooms tend to be too warm for our liking, with limited ability to adjust.

Very conveniently located hotel right opposite the train station. The rooms were very modern, clean, and quiet, great bathroom with shower gel, plenty of space in the wardrobe, and a small seating area. The breakfast was excellent, with LOTS of choices from cereals, different kinds of bread, hot plates, fresh fruits, etc. The restaurant is also very good for the evening. The staff is very helpful, maps are provided, and free use of transport for a section of the scenic train ride. There's a sauna at the hotel as well (which we didn't make use of).

Our room was pretty small; for ice climbing with all the gear we had, the space for two people was a bit tight. One of the mattresses had quite an "indent". But value for money in Pontresina, this hotel for sure is very well worth the spend, given all the other much more expensive options!

It is located just across the train station. So even when carrying luggage, it is easy and simple to reach. Can't miss it! The atmosphere inside is much nicer than what it looks like from the external part. Nice design and decoration of the hotel area. Staff is vary pleasant and helpful. Rooms are pleasant and with all needed comfort. Breakfast is vast with ample choice of salty and sweet selections. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We had a dinner on the upper floor which is a beautiful place. Its flooring is impressive and I will always remember it. Wish I could have it in my home.

I wish I had been able to stay longer at this hotel - lovely rooms, cosy bathroom, helpful staff and a great breakfast. I was en route to the glacier express though so could only stay one night but would love to go back and explore a bit more. my room faced the station but great soundproofing (though o did hear some horses go by - To my joy! and a snow plough around 0600 - also good news as it snowed all night

nothing but I was sad the sauna wasn’t operating when I was there (& curios that I couldn’t co trim the heat in the bedroom which was a bit cold for me but the bathrooms underfloor heating was a marvel). the soap dispensers would be tricky if you were arthritic as you have to squeeze firmly

Fabulous hotel...great, helpful staff. Located across the street from the Bernina Express train station making it very easy for my mobility-impaired family members to walk there. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices and great coffee.

Parking was a little expensive and the covered spaces on the bottom level did not allow enough space to even open your doors once parked, very difficult to get in and out of your car, encouraging others to leave dents in your doors as they entered and exited cars parked next to mine :/

Three words describe this amazing accommodation - convenient, clean, and comfortable. It is right next to the train station and only 10 minutes by train to St Moritz. The room we got had a pretty picture window of the mountains ( see photo). Breakfast was great and inside a pretty log like cabin restaurant within the hotel. I can not speak more highly of the amazing staff who helped me to get to the hospital as I took a fall on the train. They were so helpful and caring.

Absolutely nothing-everything was just perfect

A really friendly and comfortable hotel. The breakfast was superb and the bar and restaurant for dinner were good. Breakfast available from 7 to 10 am. Location is perfect, not only a minute from the train station but also direct access to the Engadine bus service with direct links to the main cable cars and mountain lifts. I stayed 5 nights which gave me a free local pass for trains, buses and lifts. The view from the room was fantastic, overlooking mountains and the river down from the glacier.

Location was excellent- right across the road from the station.Breakfast was very good - delicious chocolate croissants.

We received a bottle of water and a small Toblerone chocolate on our first night but not on the second night. Also, it would have been good to have a small fridge in the room and a kettle with tea/ coffee.
