Great value for money for what you get. The reception staff were very helpful and recommended a restaurant for us to go to for Swiss food - The Franziskaner. We also went to an Italian called the Capricorn, which is very close to the hotel, on our second night. We had room 209 which had a twin/double bed and a single bed. The beds were very comfy and the towels soft and fluffy. There was a fan to use in the room, as there is not any air conditioning, which was very welcomed. (A lot of hotels in Switzerland don't have that facility.) There was a bit of street noise from people walking by but do take your earplugs if you are like me and are disturbed by the slightest noise. The entrance is round the back of the semi-pedestrian street and there is a lift from the ground floor to the reception on floor 2. There are metal roller blinds instead of curtains, as you get in Spain and places like that, and they worked well. Breakfast was lovely with a selection of choices with the continental breakfast. Three types of cereal and two yoghurts, juices, cold meat, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, different rolls to choose and jams and honey. Coffee. tea and hot chocolate selection for drinks.

This is the best hotel out of 4 we stayed in Switzerland. It is right in the centre of town close to the train station. Note that there is no "Central" in the name, it is just "Post" so we were a little confused. First you see the shop, the hotel is above the shop and the entrance is from the street behind it. The best was the size of the room for 3 - very spacious. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was busy but good. Staff was very attentive and the receptionist recommended us places for dinner. Very comfortable stay!

Nothing really. Maybe don't call hotel "Central Hotel Post" if it is just Post.

The included breakfast was amazing and the place was clean and tidy. Room was larger than expected and being at the top room we were able to open up the skylight and listen to the rain and the birds. The Hotel is in a great place close to the train station and the old part of Chur. Also, we did the shared bathroom experiance which was much more plesant than we anticipated. The bathrooms were clean and plesant to use.

It was a little hard to find as you have to walk to the back of the Hotel to check in on the second floor. Being at the top the room was a little hot but we overcame that by opening the skylight.

The location is perfect in the old part of the city. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and breakfast was good for a 3 star with a great selection including fresh fruit. We were a little dubious as the hotel has bedrooms with shared bathrooms so we thought it might not be great, but we booked late with little choice in Chur and I'm pleased to say it far exceeded our expectations. It was the only hotel we stayed in that had various electrical adaptors in the room, and a 'proper' hairdryer too!

The bed was a little hard, but clearly softness is a personal choice.

in the heart of Old Town, this place is a great choice. Super clean and comfortable. we had room with shared bathroom. I’m not sure how many rooms shared the bathrooms but we never had to wait for bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent with many choices of bread, cheese and cold cuts, cereal, yogurt, eggs ( the soft boiled eggs were a bit too soft). It also had fantastic coffee machines with many choices and teas.

The bicycle storage was down a steep ramp ( on stairs). which may be a problem for older people on heavy electric bikes.

The location was fantastic, right in the old town area and a few minutes away on foot from the Chur train station. The hotel itself is functional, you have all that you need and the price is fair. Breakfast was also very good.

The wifi signal in our room could have been better (on the 4th floor). However the signal was very strong in the reception area (2nd floor). I would also encourage the hotel to consider providing a small kettle and coffee/tea in the room, which will make a big difference to the guest’s experience.

Great central location, easy to walk to and from train station and so close to restaurants and areas of interest, Comfortable family room which was quiet and clean. Great breakfast. We were given discount passes to various attractions when we arrived. We made use of the 50% off voucher to ride the cable car up to the snow which was fantastic.

Expensive, but that is Switzerland. Would have been good to know about the discount passes in advance as we would have aimed to arrive earlier or allowed more time to use these.

We booked 3 rooms - a superior double, and standard single and triple. The superior double was really spacious, as was the triple. The single was just big enough for one small person. The location was fantastic - a short walk from the bus station, train station, and a supermarket, near shops and restaurants, and right in the heart of the old city. My family really appreciated the city passes they got for local transit and some attractions.

It was quiet with windows closed, but the single was above a busy cafe that had people loudly talking into the night outside with windows open (a necessity in July with no A/C). The single room also could not get a WiFi signal - I had to go into the hallway to get a signal (not an issue in the other 2 rooms). Breakfast was pretty bare bones, even by continental breakfast standards.

It was very good. The concierge was helpful. We like the location. It was clean and the breakfast was good too. Enjoyed the cut bread and boiled eggs.

The suitcase rack in the room was not strong enough. There was no kettle in the room to make a drink. We couldn’t go out for a drink because the weather was raining, so we drank water. Afterwards, the concierge told us we could have cups to get hot water.

The room was good sized on the upper floor. I was able to poke my head out the window and get a panoramic view out. Two twin beds, a small table and a sink were in the room. Next to the room were the shared toilet/shower rooms. I never had to wait to use them. They were very large with strong water pressure. The elevator was small but very welcome to have available. The breakfast was the usual spread of meats, rolls, cereals, yogurt, etc. Everything was fresh and regularly restocked. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

A fan in the room would have been nice but luckily it wasn't a hot day. The beds were a little softer than I am used to but I slept just fine.
