The Trevene Hotel

Very well maintained property, though it's a 150 years old bungalow. We wanted to experience that and really enjoyed the overall bungalow experience. Breakfast is good, big room & double blanket really helped as it can get really cold at night. Location: close to town/bus stand. But it's a 10 min walk. Night walk can be a bit difficult as no light or people after 8pm.

Room has no mirror, TV doesn't work, and for dinner, it has only pizza option.

While we were given a room in their adjoining property which is also owned and operated by them, the room was clean, and the service was always prompt and courteous.. the breakfast was personalised based on our requirements and the pizza from the restaurant is fantastic! The location is quite good, near Victoria park as well and walking distance to the shops in the town..

Hotel personel was very kind and helpful. Simple, but good breakfast. Room was clean and cozy, especially after lighting the fireplace.

Price for room seems too high. In other places in Sri Lanka we had better conditions for half of this price.

The host is very helpful and manager shakeeb is very attentive and attends to all the needs, really appreciate the hospitality. It's a Colonial bungalow 150 years old property, so it has its own old world charm. The bedsheet pillows and towels provided are clean. The bathroom is maintained clean. Food is ok.

Can improve on food. Nothing else

A very beautiful colonial bungalow super close to Victoria Park and the centre. The bed was very comfortable and the room very cosy. The breakfast buffet was great with a big choice of tasty food options. The hosts are incredibly helpful and kind. We really enjoyed our stay at the Trevene Hotel.

Nothing, it was all good

Originally booked Trevene but as the hotel was still under renovation they kindly gave me rooms at the Panaroma Green View Hotel for the same price. It's their sister hotel and right next door. The rooms at Panaroma were large and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large, clean, spacious with new fittings. The breakfast buffet was simple but excellent. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Especially Robsan and one other gentleman whoose name escapes me right now. The hotel is well placed, just a few minutes from the center of Nuwara Eliya.

Convenient location, lovely welcoming family and helpful staff, good breakfast in the hotel next door, the most comfortable bed ever. Overall a great stay

Because it is an old colonial bungalow the electrics and sockets are sometimes tricky and the price is on the high side

Very old British building with a lot of charme (like downton abbey). Room was equipped with a fire place, which we didn‘t need. The stuff is very helpful, we got a breakfast box for our visit in Horton plains. The room was quit and had a good wifi.

Because it’s an old building it offers not the comfort like new hotels

Starting with the location, the place is well located near the center, easily accessible to the town. The rooms are spacious, cozy and clean. Not to forget, the interior is gorgeous and it has a fireplace too which was a life saviour in the cold weather :) Not to forget the staff, Ashane, Robson and Sydney, all were very gentle, humble and welcoming. They were really helpful and ready to go extra mile to make us feel at home. The breakfast was Yumm :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND VALUE FOR MONEY!

The atmosphere and the original British bungalows. Shehan the manager was really kind to me. He helped to organize the train tickets and mostly taking care of me. Fire place in the room it is amazing and you will need it as it is cold there.

Some old fashion furnitures and bed a bit small for me. Cold place but with a fireplace would be fine
