Goldi Sands Hotel

The property was much bigger and better than I had envisaged and the customer service we received was exceptional.

The fact that there was a big event going on which occupied most of the beach area and so we could not use it.

The room was very good and spacious but I think the bathroom needed a little uplift ,the shower was a bit old and would not stay in one position and the sealant round the edge was a little black, I did report an accident I had in the bedroom with my leg hitting the corner of the bed I had quite a nasty leg while I was staying in the hotel the front desk said they would deal with the matter after looking at my leg buy I heard nothing after that.we have been to Is Lanka 5 times but never in September

Nice room lovely view. Pool was great. Most of the staff were very helpful.

Some of the bar and dining staff were very short with you. On one occasion I wanted to pour my own beer which nearly led to a wrestling match with the waiter. Asked reception to print out boarding passes. They gave me an email for reception but the email box was full and they did not know how to clear it. Evening Buffet was average and very expensive. More than a much better buffet in the Galle Face Hotel.

- friendly and helpful staff - Possibility of "early check-in" (most flights arrive in Colombo early in the morning, but check-in at the hotels is not scheduled before 02.00 pm) - very good value for money - well organized housekeeping - my recommendation: Rukshi at the reception and Pradeep as guest relations - good location for restaurants and shopping

- poorly organized laundry service - very monotonous breakfast buffet and really very bad coffee

The rooms were really clean, great views. The staff were very friendly. A special shout out to the pool attendants. Lots of local restaurants within walking distance, ifyou need a change from the hotel (we were there for 5 nights) In general Negombo beaches seem to have a lot of pollution, but the beach in front of the Goldi Sands is kept very clean.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

The staff were wonderful to deal with. They were very kind and attentive to our needs. The breakfast buffet was nice, but food was cold at times. The location is lovely, right on the beach, but the sand close to the water is littered with garbage.

The hotel was very nice, but there is greater value and variety for dinner choices offsite. The dinner buffet is very repetitive regardless of the "night" that is being celebrated. English buffet contained noodles and rice, no bangers and mash, no beef and yorkshire pudding, not even fish and chips! Food warmers that actually work over the serving time would be a welcomed addition.

Planning your next vacation!!! This is the place to go to. Goldi Sands Hotel will make your stay wonderful and relaxing. Nice very clean hotel, great food, friendly and very helpful staff. From this hotel out, you can plan all your excursions or just relax on the two pools. Thank you to all the staff ♥️l will come again as always ♥️♥️

Delicious breakfast buffet with freshly baked omelets. Also very delicious evening buffet. Really nice swimming pools. Super friendly and hospitable staff. Great location by the beach. Spatious rooms with spectacular ocean view.

We asked for interconnecting rooms but due to a misunderstanding we initially were appointed to two adjoining rooms. But the issue was quickly solved and they still gave us the requested interconnecting rooms. Very fast and flexible acting staff, great service!

Amazing hotel! the beach is beautiful and hotel really clean. Everyone was super nice and friendly. The only thing is a long wait for food and drink but we noticed it is everywhere around Sri Lanka😂 overall amazing stay will definitely come back

The staff were so amazing. They were welcoming, helpful and kind. The room was very spacious, clean and serviced every day with fresh towels (if you want) and large water bottles. The pool was wonderful, and again, the staff brought beach towels out and set you up each day. We did not pay for a meal plan, however the prices for food at the hotel were extremely reasonable. Beer (happy hour drinks) were also fairly priced. We went on several day trips that left early in the morning and the hotel arranged for boxed breakfasts and bottles of water every time we went out, it was super helpful. So much more to rave about this hotel, but I will just simply say, we will be back!!
