Hilton Colombo Hotel

New room equipped with all facilities. Electrics were advanced but easy to operate and understand. Same for bathroom. Liked the view, size and layout of the room, fast elevators. Big and modern Samsung TV. Really big Kingsize bed with comfortable mattress. Liked the chocolate bar with delicious croissants and excellent coffee to choose from. Graze restaurant located at tropical gardens was up to expectations. Appreciated the staff service and personal approach making us feel at home. Spacious lounge with live music. Parking available. Etc etc. We stayed in and recommend room # 1207.

Some really minor issues : no safety handle bars in the walk-in shower, really must be there. TV was complicated to operate with 2 remote controls, have to find better options. Access to pool difficult for seniors and guests with walking problems. But free transport was immediately offered so good service.

Room well appointed and comfortable. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast disappointing , particularly in comparison with Hilton residence where we also stayed. The breakfast there was exceptional - well staffed, plenty of variety. The dining room spacious and roomy. In contrast, Hilton Colombo’s restaurant was rather cramped, the buffet area was not as extensive and the selection provided of more ‘western’ cuisine was very poor - not much choice, and what was offered was not very well cooked- eg scrambled eggs- and unappetising.

Very friendly staff everywhere- from the security guards, to waiters, reception, cleaners. It was fantastic. The water pool with decorative fish and swans was a lovely place for breakfast. The pool is great and the pool bar is very nice, including Lakkshmita, the SunSet waiter was big fun and very professional. I am truly impressed by the services in the hotel. My room was fabulous with a great view. The bid was extremely comfortable and I liked the soft pillows which game me a great sleep.

The staff were very sweet and gave me a nice room which was quiet as i had a baby along. They also arranged a crib. The staff are also professional. Food (buffet) was good.

I had to explain the requirement of hot water for sterilising baby bottles so many times - people just did not listen and help. Of course it was the staff at front desk who finally helped me out. That i had to pay for every meal immediately and not at check out as i used a debit card - really need to change this system. It was very irritating considering the room charges were paid upfront. The rooms are a bit old - of course they are renovating the rooms. Anyway i was happy with my stay and would come back again given the consideration which was given.

The restaurant was brilliant, and the general areas looked great. The staff were very friendly and attentive; getting things sorted, e.g. PCR and Taxis was very easy.

The room interior is abit dated. The pool is great but is located quite far away, as you have walk via a private overpass to cross a road.

Breakfast was good. Visiting the Executive lounge was great. Staff (Nadeeja, Gayan, Sachith, Shaheed, Rimshad, Aloka, Wasath & Adeesha) in the lounge were very friendly and helpful.

Exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn't strong enough to prevent steam covering the mirror. Room carpet was old & tired, needs replacing. In the meantime maybe room fresheners might help.

As a person who has traveled within Hilton and other brands, this very visit was incredibly memorable. The moment you step out of the airport, one of their representative is eagerly waiting to receive you with the brightest smile, once reaching the hotel, a quick check-in is done by the front desk team (huge shout-out to, Yashodha, Sadhun, Hemsha, Jerry, Zainab, Madhu, Jannath, my apologies for not remembering everyones name). The room is spacious, where ever I travel, Rooms are not the first priority however I would recommend for minor touches to make it “wow”. let’s get to Food & Beverages, oh my god! The food is delicious but my favorite thing was the service, I truly experienced the Sri Lankan Hospitality. The Team in LAB knew my preference and my regular drinks, they read myself so well that before I request they are on top of it, Thank you so much Lahiru, Tharindhu, Jude, Asela, you guys are not just stars, you guys are SUPER STARS, I will definitely return to have my regular. Yes, I can go on and on about how Grand my stay with Hilton Colombo was and is, I can’t thank each and every team member there enough for the amazing time, Thank you so much and my sincere apologies for not remembering any names but you all are there as well. see you all soon.

Lovely refurbished room with great views. Comfy bed, great bathroom with shower. Amazing buffet breakfast.

They couldn't find our booking and we had to wait longer than expected for our room to be ready. Not sure if this was a Hilton or booking.com issue though. Didn't end up using pool as you have to leave hotel and walk across a bridge to get there. More could be done very easily to improve sustainability credentials.

Centrally located , close to the places of interest . The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming . The prices of food and drinks were just right , which made it worthwhile having drinks and food in the hotel. Great swimming pool and a fantastic spa , where the massage given in really heavenly ! Overall exceptional !

Best breakfast ever. Staff incredibly attentive and friendly. Beds are amazing. Location perfect to the old part and nice clustered restaurants. Customer care out of this world.

To make the 9,999 a 10: move the swimmingpool to the roof for better views ;-) The service is so good, the breakfast so great and beds so comfortable, that other hotels after your stay will feel ‘mwah’ ;-p
