The hotel is a converted monastery/convent in the medieval town of Trujillo only a short walk from the Plaza Mayor. It is relatively easy to find from the motorway although the streets are very narrow. The hotel is full of historic character and has both exterior and interior secure parking. There is an outside pool which was very welcome in the heat-wave. All of the historic sites associated with the conquistadors are within walking distance and Trujillo is a very picturesque town.

Staff were very good and nothing was a problem, location was fantastic, the hotel was amazing as it was an old convent and it had been modernised but kept its character
Breakfast was very basic with little choice for a 4star hotel, we found a notice the second day stating that you could order eggs, bacon etc but no one told us about this, the third day the notices weren't even on the tables,

Easy to access, close to the Plaza Major in the ancient town. Rooms are spacy and quiet, personnel friendly. Very good value for money. Parking close by, not expensive.
This Parador has a timing regime for the restaurant, which requires you to choose a time slot of 15 minutes that is then reserved for you. Too complicated for us to say upfront when exactly we wanted to eat. So, no comment on the restaurant.

The room was spacious exceptionally clean quiet and well appointed with wonderful views across the medieval city to the plains beyond. Breakfast was plentiful fruit,cereals,cheeses,cold ham and a choice of cooked egg and bacon.,
We felt that the wonderful staff were under pressure due to the lack of numbers.. especially at breakfast time.

Reviewed by Howard. This room was booked by my wife Catherine. This parador is a beautiful old building and used to be a convent. It has loads of character and is a special place to stay. My room was massive and so comfortable and I spent three nights here. I had one evening meal here which was superb. The cheese ice cream was one of the finest deserts I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating.

This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful parador within easy walking distance of the main square in Trujillo. The hotel is immaculate and check in was seamless. parking for our motorbike was secure.
While the property was good value for money we felt the 50 euros for a plate of ham and cheese along with 2 small beers was extortionate.

Location, beautiful historic building, nice parking spaces, and friendly welcome. We had a suite and it was gorgeous.
Difficult to find, a few direction signs in the town would help. Only real complaint was the bed was too firm. Been here a few times and will be back again.
