Hotel Subur Maritim

Lovely hotel on the sea front. Quieter area but within walking distance (25 minutes) of the town. If you don't want to walk the tourist train stops right outside the hotel. Very relaxing atmosphere, no loud music blaring out. Great pool area set in gardens. There is a restaurant and also a pool bar.

The only negative for me was that there were limited snacks at the pool bar - just cheese and ham toasties, crisps etc. and there is nowhere close by to buy any food other than the hotel restaurant.

Decent sized room with a little balcony. Beds were comfortable, nice pool and directly across the beach. Town center was a 10 or 15 minute walk, but it's a nice walk right along the beach.

Not really the hotel's fault, but it's a nightmare trying to get a taxi in this town. When I was trying to get a taxi to the train station to go to the airport it didn't come for 30 minutes and then I had to run there by myself (including my bag). Again, not necessarily the hotel's fault, but I feel like when reception ordered the taxi for me they could have given me the information that from their experience it can take a while.

The room was clean with 2 double beds. Nice big balcony. Clean bathroom. The reception staff was very friendly. Nice opportunity to use the hotel bikes for free, for three hours. Free parking. Nice pool and garden. Nice breakfast.

We got the room in front of the bed linen storage room and we had a bad surprise the first morning when the staff started the activities around 4 AM, making a lot of noise. First time in my life I witnessed this situation. The walls around that storage room were hit by the carriages. Not very nice view.

this hotel staff is best in class and you can tell they take pride in their hotel and your experience. I had planned three days here and after the first afternoon into the evening I just booked my stay for the entire week. The location is really nice, gives little breathing distance from the bustle of city center but only a lovely 10 minute walk down esplanade into the bustle to get dinner and see the charming food and market place. The breakfast buffet was top notch and that stuff also very quick and friendly and helpful. The pool and grounds were really awesome and the access to the beach couldn’t have been better

Nothing it was awesome

We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Subur Maritim, the room was big, there was a mini bar, and the beds were really comfortable. Pool and bar area was lovely too, and right across the road from the beach, and only a 15 minute walk along the promenade to the town centre. But the highlight of the stay was the staff, they were the friendliest and nicest staff I've met in a very long time. Special mention to Isobelle on reception, so courteous and helpful, we felt extremely well looked after. Highly recommended!

This is not a criticism of the hotel, but there aren't any shops nearby, they're all in the town centre which is about a 15 minute walk away, just to bear in mind should you need sunscreen/snacks etc.

Our first visit to Sitges and loved it. Hotel in a perfect location (not surrounded by other hotels) and just a 15 min walk, along the seafront, to the old town - or a short ride on the tourist train. Loved the property, garden/pool area, our room and views. Helpful friendly staff - will return.

TV just had BBC World in English - not a problem for us.

Lovely hotel, immaculately clean; helpful, friendly staff. Well appointed rooms - lovely comfy bed - slept like a log. Rooms were also quiet. Super swimming pool and restaurant serving a range of dishes. I love visiting the Subur Maritim. Have been many times now.

The primary reason for booking The Subur Maritim was secure car parking. This was on-site, unlike many arrangements for hotels closer to the centre of Sitges old town. It meant a stroll along the passeo maritim each evening, but it is a lovely stroll and works off all that tapas, so what's not to like? I was amazed by our room as we had booked quite late. It had one of the front-facing balconies looking out to sea across the passeo. The road in front is really quiet thanks to parking restrictions. Reception staff were professional and we were able to hire a couple of their bikes for a day, too. The hotel is low-key and generally quiet with older couples and families there when we stayed in early October. Perfect for our needs!

Bathroom was a bit tired compared to the refurbished room, but was spotlessly clean.

Balcony with spectacular front sea views, perfect swimming pool with bar service and deckchairs for reading, really good breakfast buffet with great variety, friendly staff, a welcoming glass of rosé champagne, location in quiet part of Sitges away from traffic and people but at the same time a pleasant seaside walk to the centre of town.

Like many hotels, the noise of slamming doors is a problem when trying to sleep; I don't know why this cannot be solved. Another minor thing: for some reason I could not get the hot water running from the shower in the morning. Did not comment to staff because it was not too big of a deal for me.

I loved our room with sea view. Decor was very relaxing. Super comfy bed. Pool was great. Clean, good shower. Tea, coffee in room great. Reasonably priced mini bar

Staff were quite grumpy apart from one lady receptionist who was lovely. Service at pool bar poor and unprofessional. Pool area not well looked after on a daily basis, dirty glasses left around, loungers plentiful but in need of a good clean
