Friendly staff especially at the breakfast

The pool was closed, which was very disappointing as it was the main reason I chose this hotel and it was around 30 degrees the whole time we were in Seville.

Cleanliness. Good breakfasts - but spoiled by having to prove we didn’t have to pay for it as it was included in our rate.

Needs an upgrade. Wooden panelling along corridors were a bit tired and some looked loose.

I was a bit hesitant when I booked this hotel after reading some negative reviews, but then followed my instincts and I'm glad I did! My stay here was amazing, I had a wonderful, spacious super clean room with lovely views. The decor is very tasteful, and the bathroom is fully accessorised and has lovely marble tiles. The hotel is very near the centre and close to all transport. I spent a lovely afternoon by the pool with amazing views of Seville. It can get busy, but my suggestion if it, is to sit by the roof top bar, enjoy a drink and come and go from the pool! Also the bar by the lobby does an excellent G&T! All in all, good quality at a good price, would definitely come back again!

Overall, we had a nice experience during our stay at Exe Macarena hotel. Staff at the front desk and the housekeepers were extremely nice and helpful but staff in the restaurant were less nicer and welcoming. We requested a family room and the room we got was big for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). The location of the hotel was not bad but not enough nice places around it so we had to take a taxi to get to downtown and the main historical locations (But that was not too far and not expensive)

The hotel was under some renovation so the first floor was closed but we didn't hear any construction noises. The pool are was too small for such a big hotel so it was always crowded and there were not enough seats for everyone. But it was nice having a pool in the hotel during July as the temperature was very high.

I was impressed with the customer service. The staff are super approachable, friendly and helpful. They all spoke very good English. The cleaners were always very polite on passing. I like my spacious room, with a good view. The swimming pool is a petfecy way to cool down in Seville. The mini fridge had some nice goodies in it. Location is good. You can find the short cut to walk to the city, if not that bus and taxi rank is just outside the hotel. Great coffee shops & tapas bars near by.

Not having a kettle & cup in my room to make a tea or coffee, but that is a culteral difference that I can respect.

The rooftop pool was certainly a boon. We found the hotel far exceeded what we had imagined for the value of the rate we secured. We had a fantastic view of a piece of Seville history too which certainly wasn’t expected! The aircon was certainly helpful for the heatwave experienced at the time we were there. The downstairs lobby and guest areas were kept to a very high standard and very beautiful.

The location was good and on plenty of regular bus routes to the city centre but it did involve a minimum 10-15 minute bus ride.

Location was very good. Plus Fernando (staff member) was amazing as he changed our room very quickly as the air con was not good in our room.

The staff member on check in didnt tell us that we need cash to take the bus. We came back and then to ATM and again to bus to realise, they need exact change, so back to reception and guess what she had the change, so why not tell us the first time and not make us make 3 trips to bus stop.

Our last stay, of many, in this hotel was just pre Covid. The Hotel would appear now to be under new management. Superficial works have been carried out on the bedrooms and bathrooms to modernise them in appearance.

The breakfast selecction has been reduced considerably from previous visits no doubt due to current international financial restraints but still remains more than adequate. I had a general feeling that cost cutting excersises had been carried out by the new management. The Hotel has for many years been 'shabby sheik' but now seems to have lost some of it's charm.
