EME Catedral Hotel

Roof terrace, cathedral view.

Lady on reception not as helpful as might be expected in other 5 star hotels. We were 15 mins beyond the time range for breakfast and were told flatly that we have therefore missed any opportunity to get anything, not even a coffee or a croissant, despite paying circa 400 Euro for one night and 700 Euro overall for our two night stay. Clearly not paying enough for a couple of coffees and pastry. Not very 5 star.

Our room was spectacular - overlooking the Cathedral and main square. The room was luxurious - with a separate bath and shower room and literally the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The rooftop terrace (with some of the best cocktails we've ever tasted) - with wonderful views over the Cathedral - was where we spent most late afternoons and the pool provided welcome relief from the heat of the day. The location of the hotel could not be better - we struck out on foot in different directions everyday of our 6 day visit and each trip revealed new treasures of Sevilla.

We had asked for a room in our category with a terrace if it was available, the staff did this for us but the room we originally got was up behind the pool, it felt dated and not as comfortable compared to other rooms we have stayed in before, it was overlooked by the terrace bar and the smell of chlorine was strong. We spoke to reception and they immediately moved us to another room, it was without a terrace but that was ok as the view was even better. The staff could not have been more accommodating and we were very happy with our new room.

Loved the perfect location of the hotel. You have 2 parking areas not to far from the hotel, central with good restaurants and services and shops… From here you can enjoy Sevilha easily. Loved the terrace bar and the pool area on the rooftop, the practical gym. Nice and very friendly and welcoming staff. All of them. Very high quality bedding.

Small little details needing a more attention. Breakfast was good but was a little disappointed as used to see more variety at that level.

Location was excellent within walking distance of all main attractions. We didn’t have hotel breakfast - we chose to eat breakfast at local cafes. We did have a meal at the hotel restaurant in the courtyard which was delicious. Our room was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cathedral views from the rooftop terrace/bar are stunning especially at night. The rooftop pool was so nice at the end of a sightseeing day in 42 degree heat. The smell as you enter the hotel reception area is gorgeous. Couldn’t fault the hotel - we had a wonderful stay.

There could have been more drawer space in our room. There were only two drawers under the sink area and they tipped forward if we pulled them out too far. The tassels which covered the wardrobe space kept getting caught in hangars - could have been a hook to hook them out of way when acccessing clothes.

The staff at reception were so lovely. I loved the room I stayed in- spacious, chic, minimalistic, and luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We loved the rooftop area to sunbath and the pool was so nice, so refreshing as the weather was very hot. The rooftop bar did great cocktails and the view is amazing. The location is amazing. I would definitely stay again!

Our safe was broken so we felt a bit uneasy not having that facility. The service was slow at the rooftop bar and some of the staff at that bar were not friendly/approachable. No food/snacks available at the rooftop bar or at the pool.

liked the location and the restaurants… the cocktail rooftop bar of course! the thing that really made the hotel were the front of house staff - Alejandro, Eduardo and Carlos who was my driving saviour

the pool was not private from people coming to the rooftop bar. didnt feel comfortable there the layout of the bathroom super weird and constantly back and forth to basin and toilet and towel rails and shower … needs some HCD thinking! bed was squeaky!!

Location is very good and central, can find breakfast, lunch or dinner all within 5 mins walking distance. Love the bathtub and also the toiletries given, smells really nice and creates lots of bubbles when used in bathtub. Very spacious rooms

Having to explain to staff that we’re staying at the hotel every time we return, staff were polite and courteous, we’re just a bit confused as to the added security

The rooftop pool was great and very quiet. The hotel is beautiful. Our room spacious with very comfortable beds. The staff were very helpful. We checked in early and paid €20 euros for a late check out which was very reasonable.

We were excited about the famous rooftop bar but it was disappointing; small, uncomfortable and the staff seemed so stressed...didn't stay long, However sunset and the views were impressive.

Central location, lovely rooms, super-comfortable bed. Our room had an outdoor terrace, which it was warm enough to enjoy. The rooftop bar was a nice way to round off an evening.

There was one evening (Saturday) when the noise from the bar upstairs reached our room and it was harder to get to sleep but not a huge problem and was fine on other nights of the week.
