Hotel Monterrey Roses by Pierre & Vacances

The hotel hac been recently renovated and all the facilies are in a very good shape. The room was very big and well equipped. Almost all rooms have a side sea-view so you don't really ahve to pay extra for the direct sea view. The small dryer to hang your towels is a nice touch. We travel with our dog and it was great. We got some gifts for the dog and there is a special sign to leave on the door if the animal is alone in the room, to inform the housekeepers. Location is good, right next to the beach in a noisy area (in August), but that's normal at that time of the year. It should be quieter off season, but there are still bars and restaurants around.

All was good. Things to keep in mind: It's a noisy town so if you expect peace and quiet in the high season, pick a different place. The hotel has nothing to do with it.

we stayed in a good sized room with a balcony overlooking the sea on the top floor. Beds were very comfortable. We had AMAZING views over the bay of Roses. The room had a good layout and well soundproofed. the balcony was a fair size with comfortable patio seating. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were cleaned every day and they did an excellent job. What an incredible choice for breakfast with a chef cooking eggs and the catering staff so attentive. The hotel is practically on the beach and has a swimming pool. The hotel had a nice relaxed atmosphere I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

I am struggling to find something I didn’t like, the only thing perhaps is the partitioning between the balconies are a bit see through a little opaque making it feel not so private.

Staff was incredibly friendly at check-in. I was lucky enough to receive a room that faces the boardwalk so the view of the beach and sea was incredible. The location of the hotel is perfect to walk to various restaurants and is 5min walking to the the main boat, yacht, jet-ski and water sport rental and activites area.

The parking garage for the hotel might as well belong another neighborhood. It is located 4-5 blocks away and might not be suitable to everyone that needs to walk that far with luggage or has physical disabilities. We didn't mind walking though and the car is safe.

Excellent location on the beach. The sandy beach was absolutely excellent and quite clean. There were enough services nearby and it was also possible to find fun things to do in the evenings. The swimming pool area was clean and peaceful.

When we checked in, we didn't feel particularly welcome. The front desk staff seemed to be in their own thoughts. The breakfast was worthy of a hotel of this level, but you didn't get a cup of coffee until after 8 o'clock at breakfast. You had to pick up your morning coffee from the city. We didn't have reserved parking and it was quite difficult in the vicinity of the hotel.

Location was good right next to the beach.Room was spacious, although we were given a room equipped for wheelchair use. Pool was OK, though many residents were aggressively trying to get sunbeds.

The bathroom, designed for wheelchair access, flooded badly when showering making the floor a slippy hazard. The shower was set lower on the wall which was inconvenient when showering. Cleaning staff were excellent. We were offered another room but it was on a much higher floor on the opposite side of the building.

The room was clean and we had sea view which was really nice. The hotel is right in front of the beach and the bar/swimming pool area is great to relax after a morning swimming at the beach. Personnel was really kind and helpful.

I expected the facilities to be better than what it was. It's not that they are bad, but in the pictures it looks much newer than what it is. The TV is mini and the bathroom could be newer. Also we had very noisy neighbors who arrived at 4-5 am and had music and were speaking very loud.

Great location. Nice and spacious room with view on the pool and the beach. We stayed only for one night with our dog (20kg) for which we had to pay a 12€ fee/day The breakfast buffet was good and everything went great. The staff was very nice. Would recommend!

Weird smell in the bedroom when we first came in but it seemed that it went away.

Fab hotel, great staff, superb breakfast, great location. 12 euro to park car in secure spot, beach front. Dog friendly. Good aircon and quiet ceiling fan.

If I am being picky my only grumble would be the pillows. They were lumpy. Stayed at the sister hotel in Estartit 2 days before and had new firm pillows….clearly spoilt 😃.

We had a lovely room overlooking the sea, plenty of wardrobe space, etc. A fridge to keep our water cool, etc. The outside pool looked fantastic, although we did not take advantage of it. Breakfast was vast and plentiful, so much choice, very tasty. We dined at a little place just across the road for dinner, which was also excellent and service was great.

Parking, was practically impossible, but did eventually find somewhere near.

Breakfast was awesome! Lots of variety and choice. Eggs made to order! The location is the best right in front of the beach and most importantly we felt safe.

Musty smell in hallways. Really hard to find something we didn’t like. We really enjoyed most of everything.
