Very nice hotel from cost-value perspective. We really enjoyed the food quality which is comparable to the restaurant level. All staff was polite, positive and attentive. Evening shows were diverse and not annoying. Both swimming pools are well equipped with enough sunbeds and umbrellas.

Our room didn't have a dedicated closet and it was not really enough space for my wife's clothes. Also, I couldn't say that it was a nice decision to separate the toilet and the room with a transparent glass with a really poor noise isolation. And another a bit disappointing thing is absence of a gym.

We arrived late into the evening, the hotel left us some food in our room. Really appreciated it! Room was lovely and clean

The swimming pools were freezing. The ad said the pools were heated, so a little disappointed. Also for the evening meal, no drinks were free, not even water , which would have been more than enough.

Friendly staff, great facilities & great size beds. Ample free street parking very close to hotel. Loved the Bali day beds on the balcony, which were a nice way to relax in private. The pools are great & love the option of having two pools with a slightly different vibe. The tiles surrounding the pool get quite hot during the day so keep your slides handy when walking about. Great cocktails too! Thoroughly enjoyed the evening concerts by the pool & proximity to beach is great! Overall a lovely stay & highly recommend.

Room was a little smaller than anticipated. Pillow could be a little more firm.

This is a great adults-only hotel within 5 minutes of the beach. There's loads of positives inc: - Nice sized hotel - not too big so you can generally get a sunbed at the pool easily, and the restaurant isn't too crowded - Brilliant staff - we particularly loved Thiago and his enthusiasm for wine. All the staff make an effort with the guests and make sure you're well looked after. - The food is great and surpassed our expectations of a hotel - lots of nice options, decent variety, mixture of pre-made stuff and fresh fish/meat on the grill. Generally always enough of everything, unless you arrive in the later end of the time slot. - Two pools is a nice touch. We preferred the 'Lounge' pool with chilled music (some days with a live DJ) but there's a quiet pool if you don't want that. Sunbeds are super-comfortable and drinks are reasonably priced. - Evening entertainment isn't really our thing, but the music acts were good quality and way better than other hotels which we could overhear on evening beach walks! - Rooms are really clean and practical - The price is really reasonable for the quality of the rooms, the location, and the food

Very few negatives but if we're being really picky, our view from the room wasn't great (ours was over the restaurant roof which is just covered in rocks). But pretty much everything is great!

Clean, comfortable modern hotel. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and took the time to give you help and information when asked. The room was comfortable and well equipped, the beds were great and mattresses very comfortable. Entertainment each evening was varied and very good. Food was excellent with great choices each morning and evening. Lots of variety on offer catering for all diets - plant based foods and milk etc. they’ve thought of everything. Catering staff always appeared happy and chatty whilst busily getting on with it. All in all we had an excellent stay at Hotel Astoria Playa and can’t think of one negative thing to say. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is a the perfect get away destination. Located just 150m away from the beach - it completely isolates you from the swarm of tourists, and you feels nice, safe and quiet inside the hotel grounds. The rooms were fantastic, staff exceptional, and the facilities remarkable. Breakfast and dinner was restaurant level, and during a 8 days stay - there were no repeating dishes ! Amazing evening entertainment. Plenty of sun beds for all visitors - no running in the morning to reserve beds with towels (its actually against hotel policy !) Hotel not massive, so you don't feel too overcrowded, and no kids - so the environment is very calm and relaxed.

There was not a single thing that we did not enjoy - everything was above and beyond our expectations, this is truly one of the best hotels in Alcudia, and maybe even Mallorca !

The hotel is amazing. It is very close to the beach. The room was big and comfortable, the balcony too. It was extremely clean throughout the hotel. The food was very nice and varied. Well done to the chefs! There were different singers on stage every evening and they were all great. All the staff were very kind and welcoming. We used a transfer offered by the hotel - everything was fine with it. This impressed us the most: on the last day of our stay, we checked out in the morning, left our luggage in the luggage room and went to the beach because our flight was in the evening. When we came back to take our luggage, the receptionists gave us a temporary room and clean towels to take a shower - That was really great!

From the moment we arrived at 1.15am the staff were exceptionally polite, friendly and efficient. Shout out to Omadou (not sure if that is spelt correctly!) on reception through the night. He was very kind and helpful. The room was so large and very comfortable - very comfortable bed and fabulous to have a large jacuzzi in the room. Great furniture on the balcony and the sun-loungers by the pool were exceptional. We were especially impressed by the quality of the food at breakfast and dinner. We don't usually like to have dinner in the hotel but it didn't cost much more to have it, so thought we would pay the extra and maybe only eat in the hotel once. Once we ate there the first time we were hooked. Such a great choice and very tasty - and I am extremely fussy!! Very good evening entertainment to.

On balance we decided we had made the right decision about the location, although I was not a big fan of Porte Alcudia. I have only visited Palma before so knew little about Majorca. My research suggested Alcudia and Pollenca were lovely and they didn't disappoint. I much preferred Porte Pollenca to Porte Alcudia although Porte Alcudia does have a lovely beach, and it was a short walk from the hotel. it is just a bit too built up for me. However, on the plus side. it is possible to walk from Porte Alcudia to Alcudia old town and that is what swung it when I booked. We don't drive abroad and if you are in Porte Pollenca you would have to get a bus to Pollenca old town.

The facilities were very clean and modern, giving the place a refreshing atmosphere. The breakfast and dinner offerings were of high quality and truly delicious. The availability of pools was a great touch, allowing me to relax and unwind while enjoying the amenities. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, with their attentiveness and hospitality truly standing out. Different live music performances each night, providing fantastic entertainment and adding an enjoyable touch to my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable getaway."

Lack of diversity among the guests. Approximately 90% of the guests seemed to be from a single country and all of the same age, and it would have been great to see more international representation and more young as well, including from Spain. Additionally, the absence of bathrobes and bath shoes was a bit disappointing, as these amenities can enhance the overall comfort of the stay. The rooms themselves were quite simple, and I found the beds and pillows to be less comfortable than I had hoped for.

Sometimes the main meal selection was a little repetitive. One of the female receptionists I felt most have been having an off day when first meeting and greeting, when we first arrived, she seemed a little miserable in comparison to other staff, and although she didnt need me to show her my print offs for the accomodation receipts because she only wanted to see the passports, she should have handled her mannerism a bit more polite and positive. Otherall, the staff were happy, pleasant and positive, I just felt that my experience upon arriving at 6pm for the first time after travelling for hours could have been a happier and better experience. I have stayed at your hotel twice now, so I know the first stay was great from the beginning.
