Hotel Mexico

Located very close to Atocha, we were able to walk to the Metro/Renfe without difficulty. Also the Parque del Retiro is just a block away, very beautiful and things to see and do, especially on Sundays when a lot of shops are closed. We loved that there wine glasses and plates etc. There is a little grocery store across the street you can buy wine and cheese and bread for €5. It was clean and comfortable

Not a problem for us but it is very n the 2nd floor. Oh… it takes 3 keys to get up to the room… sometimes the locks were a little sticky and it took awhile to get the doors open Also there is a full bed in the bedroom and the pull out couch( which is comfortable) and actually was a bit big than the full bed.

It is located in a tinny and secondary street, however, walking one block away (less than 2 min), you will find everything you need, from restaurants to clubs. Near to the train station, subway, and important museums. The room was very clean with everything necessary to have a pleasant stay. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

It was unfortunate to have a couple next door talking very loudly until very late. It was hard to fall asleep. However, I noticed the next day in the morning while working from my room, that the walls are very thin since I could hear all conversations happening around. Maybe the property should take action on this, and set up "quiet hours" for all guests to avoid complaints or bad reviews.

Central location near Atocha train station, restuarants and museums. Reasonable price for a holiday weekend. Beautiful entry and easy check-in and out with friendly staff. Glass drinking cups in the bathroom are a nice touch. Very small room but adequate for a one night stay before moving on. Very clean. Good wifi but the difficult password took a few times to enter correctly.

Small room that got warmer all through the night. I eventually had to open the windows because the a/c control did not respond (likely turned off centrally because it was a cool night). TV was small and the remote barely worked. Tiny elevator but wide stairs available.

we loves the homey and classic style of this place. They do the old fashioned “keep the keys at the reception” which is actually nice if your party arrives at different times or if you’re afraid of losing the keys, plus there’s always someone in reception to help out. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with everything we needed for 2 adults and a baby. Comfortable beds and super friendly staff. Location next to Atocha station and a 5 min walk from Reina Sofia Museum or El Prado. Best price you’ll find for this quality in central Madrid, we will book again!!

Ventilation in bathrooms could probably improve to avoid humidity after showers, but bathroom was clean either way and it did NOT show any signs of humidity damage.

Its location it's perfect, for it's conveniently close to Atocha train station and all museums around, whilst located in a quiet street, something valuable being so close to such noisy places. Staff members were so kind and happy to help. Rooms are a bit worn and equipment a bit old, but are pretty comfortable for a short stay in Madrid. Definitely, it's a place to be considered

The room was nice and overlooked a small courtyard. The bed was the most comfortable we had had over our travels. It is an older building, so soundproofing was not great, but overall we had a good stay. The gentleman on reception couldn’t have been more helpful giving us suggestions of where to eat etc. Overall, I would certainly recommend this little hotel close to the station.

Slightly noisy from room to room, and late at night when people were coming back to the hotel. The room we had, we didn’t hear any outside noise which was good.

There was no Breakfast. Good location clone to puerta del sol,plaza major and antocha railway Station.Nice Bars and restaurnts close to the Hotel.Very kindly and polite staff. Onliy my room( no.21 ) was a little Neiße beware of a sliding doof runing day and night. Never the less I come back very soon with my familiy. Thank you Hotel Mexico

Location excellent for Prado, botanical gardens and night life. Room was large and bathroom was spacious and looked newly- renovated. There was also a fridge, dining table and chairs in room plus 3 easy chairs. The bed was enormous and so comfortable.

There were only skylights in our particular room. For one night, it didn't bother us.

Small rooms, but very clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. No on site restaurant, but several within 2 minutes walk. Close walking distance to several world class museums. Train station is 10 minute walk.

Tiny facilities for big people.

Housekeeping needs to be available at least until 4pm. I believe the cleaners are not available 24/7. No big deal I much rather sleep late.
