BULL Astoria

No Fridge in room& no glasses. I can't understand why any hotel especially in a hot country would not put a fridge in all rooms or even a couple of glasses. Very poor omission.

It is a good tourist class hotel. Hotel facilities are fine, cannot see any reasons to complain. I had an accomodation package which included three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. At first I was a little bit sceptical about the offer with this relatively cheap price (accomodation+ 3 meals for 2 persons cost 100 eur per day). In reality it was marvellous- large variety of food in every meal and so in every day!! I highly recommend!! Transport connection from the hotel to different parts of the town very convinient. Bus stops 200m from the hotel (opposite direction to the sea). Different buses to St Catalina and the old Las Palmas. Bus ticket costs 50 eurocents (if u buy 20 trips ticket).

swimming pool- unfortunately towels were not provided when visiting the swimming pool. It means you have to take it from your room.

The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a bit run down. Seen its best times before in form of design and quality. But it offers best-in-class service nevertheless.

Close to the Las Canteras beach. However it is not noisy at all. Very helpful staff. The beds were comfortable, air-condition operational. The important point here is the breakfast. Very nice, with various things: English, Italian, French or continental style. Everything you can dream of.

The hotel apparently need renovation (or even is at the stage of one), but in my room, the furniture remember better times. There was rust at the bath tube and some other issues that proves that it was luxury but many years ago. And I think that the fact that there's no fridge at all, is really inconvenient in the hotel at Canary Islands.

The greatest benefit for us was very helpful staff with smile on the face which was very pleasant. Also the position of the hotel near the beach and near the nice places to visit was the advantage. The food in the hotel was just delicious and the variety was really wide.

The water in the bathroom was flowing very little from the tap in the wash-basin. Also the toilet stopped working twice during our stay (my husband repaired it).

Great location & quiet . Comfortable beds . Breakfast was good, lots of choice & refreshed regularly. The pool terrace & cafe area is excellent & made our short stay complete. The bar & snack prices were excellent too, great when you’re feeding a family.

The bedrooms would benefit from tea/coffee making facilities & a small fridge would be great. It didn’t impact our stay, but, some English language channels would be good.

Rooftop is great - you have the bar, the pool and the gym with sauna. Breakfast was included and had a good variety of products. The staff was very nice and spoke great English. The cleaning was also done perfect! Also I forgot my documents at the room so the receptionist was really nice to give it back to a friend of mine.

Astoria is Astoria - it's like a time machine, when you get back to the times of real massive keys for the room, old doors and furniture.

Room was clean and comfortable enough to sleep in for 2 weeks. Hotel has a really nice roof-top area which houses the (suprisingly cheap) restaurant/bar, swimming pool, gaming area and quite a decent gym. Breakfast was excellent as well even though very crowded as the hotel was full. Located just a couple of blocks away from the beach and there´s a big supermarket right next to it.

The hotel has a great location as it is situated very close to the beach and Santa Catalina park. The stuff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice.

There was an unpleasant 'mouldy' smell in our room. However, another room I had a chance to visit did not have this issue.
