Portal De La Rioja

I've stayed here before. The location is good for a stay when just passing through (as I was), or as a base from which to explore La Rioja. The breakfast menu available was OK

There were NO sockets at ground level from which to charge phone, etc. I had to unplug the TV and use that socket, with the phone hanging on its lead

Hotel was really quirky and set in lovely surroundings in the prime Rioja growing region. There is a wine museum attached to the hotel which sadly I couldn’t visit as arrived late and departed early next day. Hotel was very comfortable and offered an exceptional set e course meal in the restaurant for €12 per person including bottle of wine and bottle of water. Portions are quite big, and quite frankly I probably should have stopped after the starter, but it was all so nice, I just kept going..... Hotel also has an outlet selling a vast selection of wines to the public with prices starting at €4 per bottle (we took the liberty of purchasing 6 bottles). The lady who served me polished each bottle and boxed these up with care

Have stayed here before, really lovely location. Parking on site. The room was spotless and had a wonderful view.

I had a pinco and the burger, disappointed with the burger but next time I would opt for something else. Breakfast is adequate and very reasonably priced.

The hotel has suffered from the years and needs a refurbishment, but perhaps that is its charm! It is located in a vineyard area very famous for its wine, it is possible to buy bottles of wine directly at the hotel, and there is also a wine museum. The menu has a fixed price and we ate well. The "Spanish" breakfast with "tostada", olive oil and coffee with milk was enriched with warm croissants and fresh orange juice. We asked for sandwiches for the trip and they made us a fantastic "Tortilla con Jamon" and freshly baked warm bread.

Oscar was a very helpful and nice person and the lady who served breakfast was also. We liked the little touch of providing stuff for our dog and the location was ideal for us and we will be returning.

Great old style building in fabulous location. clean comfortable bedroom with great view. Very simple and does the job!

Food was not great. Microwave meals however the wine was fabulous

Very convenient for first night stop as only 1 and 1/2 hours from Santander. Staff very friendly. Evening meal superb. Only 15 minute walk into Brinas with couple of nice bars and riverside walk.

An Amazing place to stay to visit Haro. The building is beautiful and authentic (could do with some TLC but for the price paid, there can be no complaints. Staff were all very friendly.

Great place along the way in Rioja, the views are amazing and the staff were great, they even prepared for us in advance some bowls and blanket for our dog in our room.
