Hotel Apartamentos Pyr Fuengirola

We had a two bedroom apartment with sea view. it was excellent. Cleaning service was amazing and all staff were very friendly. The pool area was lovely and relaxed and life guard on duty at all times. Great location, central to all amenities and room had air conditioning which was helpful as it was extremely hot so could tip back for a break from the heat.

We are Irish and my kids wear a t-shirt swimming to help cover up their fair skin during the hottest time of the day but the life guard wouldn't let them in the pool with t-shirt over their swimwear. There were no signs indicating this anywhere in the pool and it was a bit annoying. I think if this is a rule it needs to be highlighted around the pool area.

Location is great however at night there are sex workers just outside who pester men walking by. Rooms are very spacious and cleaners are in the rooms every day replacing towels, changing bins etc.

There were workmen in the hotel drilling and hammering for the whole of our stay. They usually started at 0900hrs and worked until early evening. Very annoying as we couldn’t have a lie in or a nap in the afternoon. It was so noisy! Staff should have informed booking.com of this so that customers could decide if they wanted to stay as lots of other hotels were available in the area.

The Hotel is in progress of up-gradeing it's room. Spend the 5euro per night it's worth it.Very large room with kitchen alcove, great for making tea and toast for breakfast. All room have sea view, if like me you like to see the Sunrise your room will overlook the main bay, and the mountain beyond Malaga . The West side overlooking the pool area with loungers and shade and the marina and fishing harbour

Not sure they had quite finished my room. No mirror in the bedroom. Very difficult to check the outfit.

I cannot describe how great the price is for this property. you really do get very good value for money. the staff are so friendly and everything was seamless. the room was as expected and the pool is great! the area around the pool looks recently done up and it’s very nice. the location is excellent and very central. it is only a 7min walk to the train station that brings you to the airport.

the rooms do not come with double beds. I asked for this but I don’t think it is possible with the room type we had. regardless this didn’t make a huge difference to our trip and I would 100% stay here again!

Centrally located ,the Hotel is perfect for the beach and the nearby 'Calle Moncayo ' for top local restaurants . The shops are just as near and the Pescarteria on the other side of the street near the top was my favourite . Everything fresh and delicious . PYR cater for breakfasts too which were both cooked and continental . The staff are friendly and the rooms cleaned everyday by the hard working cleaning and hygiene teams who are industrious without being invasive. Very polite guests surround you which also helps. There was absolutely nothing I had an issue with . I have been coming to PYR for a few years now and have been visiting the resort generally for 40 years on and off .Every time I visit this hotel they have been diligent at improving on any small or large issue . Sometimes it can be noisy because of merry makers in the outside street but that's nothing to worry you !😃

Staff was fantastic. Renovation is problem. Swimming pool was the best thing.

Renovation, room and fuurnitures were old style. Rooms door was unsafety.

The hotel is in perfect location for everything, no matter which direction u took it was full of restaurants and bars n it was right beside the beach and marina . It would be an ideal location for family's as there is a small amusement park across the road. And it's a 10/15 min walk from train station also

Didn't find any fault during our stay . I would recommend it to anyone and I will definitely book again . We stayed in room 840 and had a lovely view of the marina n the sun setting over the mountains

Requested a low room and was given on the first floor. The room had a kitchenette area, which was very handy, was supplied with cloths and washing up liquid !! Room was kept very clean. The apartment was right opposite the port and was a ten minute walk to the old town and coach/bus station. The quieter beaches were about 5 minutes up the road. Everything was in walking distance.

Never stay over the weekend!!!. Noise from the pavement, and room next door was really loud. The WIFI download speed was non existent.

We have stayed here before and once again we were delighted with the apartment the level of cleanliness and the staff . We are booked up already to spend Christmas at the Pyr.

The Pool was not heated on this occasion and was 13degrees C------I did force myself to swim every morning which was quite an effort. We appreciate that this situation is Spanish government Policy because of the energy crisis ---but the hotel still advertises its pool heated in the winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Location excellent asked for a high floor room as there is a lot of late bars in the area and few reviews gave out about noise ,I can honestly say up on floor 8 we had 7 nights grand sleep beds were very comfortable cleaning staff were great 👍we were walking distance from fish Alley lots lovely restaurants to choose from. We got the train back to the airport E7.00 for two bus station near as well we went up to Mijas e1.55 each lovely village great hotel to travel around from ,we had gorgeous views from our balcony out over the marina & sea great to wake up to 👍

Maybe the decor could be updated a bit .
