Hotel Emporda

We’ve stayed two times, 2nd by choice even if we had to have two rooms because the staff are really kind, they make check in hassle free, knowing we’ve all been driving for hours usually! the room has a jacuzzi bath. the room is really warm it’s lovely, hot water always, lovely breakfast and nice coffee( not cheap stuff) fresh fruit for breakfast or eggs and bacon, yoghurts etc. location is perfect for the motorway and really close to town. they provide slippers which is comfy and stops the banging when we walk around ( horrid in a hotel ). 12€ per dog. my only wish is that they would install a vending machine with perhaps drinks and some snacks for those who don’t just want water. We will be back at Easter. Suitable for small kids also!

Very good hotel, easily accessible from the highway, sparkling clean rooms, warm in winter, free parking on the premises, walking distance from the Figueres historical centre and the important sites (notably the Dali Theatre-Museum and San Ferran Castle). Interesting breakfast, not a buffet one: you are given a choice of set menus to suit your taste (“sweet breakfast”, “salty breakfast”, “healthy breakfast”, “continental breakfast” etc.) and the items are brought to you on a tray. Very organized and ecological, helps avoid the usual buffet excesses. Very polite and helpful reception. The hotel houses the renowned The Motel restaurant, unfortunately we didn’t get to eat there, it’s only open at lunchtime. Generally, excellent value.

The breakfast is amazing with fresh made granola and beautifully ripened perfectly cut fruit. It isn’t a buffet so everything is freshly prepared to order and doesn’t take long. I would not want to stay anywhere in Figueres but Hotel Emporda. The location is great with plenty of parking and an easy walk to some great restaurants and bars. Tony’s had delicious food both times we have been there.

First I have to mention the architecture of the building and the tasteful interior. The room was exceptional clean and toiletries are Ritual products, which adds a nice touch. The Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Wine bar and restaurant was a fantastic surprise . I love how the staff and chef were so polite and paid attention to detail. Although the restaurant is a la carte the chef offers a kids menu too. I can highly recommend the Salomon and the children steak . The cheeseboard was a dream. Everything in the hotel reminds me of a classic 60s movie and if you appreciate tradition and style you are going to love this place. Thank you so much the experience- we definitely will be back soon.

everything is perfect

I would stay there again. Location easily accessible. The staff was friendly the whole way through. Breakfast was excellent, dinner too. Easy to ask for help with certain services. Parking was easy. We had a little hiccup with the charger, but quickly found a backup solution for the car and the manager talked to us about it to make sure everything is ok. The receptionist helped us find transport information online. The temperature in the room was good. We didn't use the balcony, but it has a nice view across the street. With the balcony doors closed, the outside noise was almost completely gone. Bathroom is a good size and well equipped.

The bed was very bouncy and the wheels rolled at every movement. The room had a strong echo. Dog was not allowed in restaurant, so had to sit on the terrace (it was thankfully warm enough). These are small things.

We were travelling back home with the whole family so we need a hotel to stay over night. We found this property and it matches our needs: comfortable rooms, close to the city and highway (but not in the highway nor inside the city) , that allows to scroll to the centre of Figures after the whole day driving and a nice restaurant with good local choices (out of the classical standard hotel food). Breakfast was fantastic with again local delicatessen choices, very unusual these days. A lot of staff, and very helpful. Next day, 200km away, we realised we forgot our passports in the safe box. OMG. So we called the property and next day they arrange a courier to send them over. We have definitely bookmarked this place to come back on our future trips.

We have to book 2 rooms. One has a good double mattress, but the other has tween beds which were less comfy.

The location is good, just next to the highway. Good surrounding area for travelers with a dog.

Noise during the night. It was a Friday night and looks like somebody has a noisy party during the night. Also, first time we stayed there it was some extras like disposable bathroom slippers, which i did not find in the room that time.

We drove from Switzerland to Figueres in one day with our 2 large dogs. We arrived exhausted but delighted to find that the hotel backed on to fields perfect for dog walk. Also had private off road car park so dogs quite happy overnight in the car and we were satisfied they were safe. Our standard room was spacious and so was the bathroom. It was not luxuriously appointed but we were not expecting that as the cost was more than reasonable. Due to Covid restrictions, we had an excellent dinner in the hotel and an extremely good breakfast. We felt we had had very good value for money.

At the price they are charging very little could have been better

The hotel staff were exceedingly nice, and so were the restaurant staff. The hotel restaurant is great, too. The hotel is in a very nice residential area withing walking distance to the city centre. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great location if you travel by car, easy to find and park. On the outskirts of Figueres but walking distance to city center and Dali museum. The restaurant is retro and charming with excellent traditional Spanish cuisine.
