Hesperia Córdoba

We arrived 2 hours ahead of the check in time but we were given a room immediately. The employees we came in contact with were friendly and knowleadgeable. At check in the receptionist gave us a map of the city and indications on how to reach the old city and points of interest. The room and bathroom have a good size and plenty of natural light. The hotel has a great terrace with view over the Mezquita. The location just across the roman bridge is ideal to visit the old city and the walk of less than 10 minutes over the bridge is equally interesting.

Disliked · The room had sewage smell, luckily by keeping both windows open it improved but obviously it is a problem that needs to be corrected at source. The breakfast room is very impersonal and could easily be brightened up.

We loved everything about this hotel, we couldn't fault it. The location was perfect, just across the Roman Bridge with a view of the Mesquita and Alcazar. We booked a double room with a view, which was very spacious and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the lovely gentleman in charge of the breakfast room. He welcomed us each morning, took our water bottles to fill with cold water and even remembered our room number. The communal areas are very spacious and clean. There is a lovely rooftop terrace with bar and a pool area for chilling out.

Nothing, it was perfect.

I loved the location of the hotel, across the river from the old city and close to both the hop-on-hop-off tourist and 'ordinary' bus tops. The view of the river, the old city and the Mesquita from the roof terrace of the hotel was amazing. I swam in the rooftop pool every day; there were lots of sun loungers on which to read and dry off after a good swim. The maitre d'/ man in charge of the breakfast room was a great character-very friendly and welcoming, always smiling as he greeted me every morning. Breakfast was delicious.

There was a pool of water/ air con fluid on the floor of my room when I arrived. This was swiftly dealt with when I reported it at reception.

The location is excellent, far from the hubbub of the centre of Cordoba but near enough to walk there easily. Our room was perfect. The view was fine - it was an orange tree !

The hotel had no internet for over 24 hours and we received no apology. It is quite a big thing to lose these days when you are checking flight tickets, excursion tickets, restaurant reviews etc.....all on our phones and need access to the internet. I really thought we'd have had an apology as we checked out.

We have stayed here several times before and always book a room on the corner. This time we was on the top floor and could hear banging and crashing about in the bar above us but it didn't stop us sleeping and on the 2nd night i didn't even hear anything. The views are amazing from this hotel. It's easy to find coming off the motorway. The parking was ok with a 4x4. Breakfast was good as normal. It's great to relax at the rooftop bar in the evening and watch the sun go down. It's a shame they don't do evening meals here anymore but times change. It's only a short walk from the hotel over the bridge into the old town. Make sure you visit the cathedral, it's well worth a look at. Everytime we visit here we find something new to see. This year was even hotter then last year which i didn't think it could be. There is always the tour bus to get around and see different places in the town.

The hotel seemed a bit tired in places with cracks in the sink but i still love this hotel.

This is a perfectly located hotel across the river via the Roman Bridge from the Old Town. Ideal for a city break if travelling by car as you can park in the underground parking and walk everywhere to see the sights in Cordoba. Room was large and spacious, clean and bright with great a great view towards the Mezquita-Catedral and old town. Definitely worth requesting a city view room as some rooms can face an inner courtyard. Breakfast was fresh and with plenty of choice. The sun deck and roof top pool was ideal for us to cool down after walking round the city before we ventured out again in the evening. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants and cafes along the side of the hotel if you wish to grab an easy bite to eat. The hotel rooftop bar was also a great place to end the day with a drink overlooking the city lit up at night before going to bed. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Cordoba by car, not sure if this hotel can be bettered!

Nothing at all , everything was good. Maybe a couple more coffee pods for the machine in the room but i am struggling so say anything bad about this hotel.

The Hotel was ideally situated for all the places of interest all within easy walking distance. the bar in the roof is an added bonus along with the swimming pool, the staff in the main were friendly and helpful. Bedroom comfortable and clean (we had a great view towards the old town) Breakfast good selection ( all be it at an extra cost )Parking also additional cost.

I would prefer breakfast and parking be included in the initial price, ( for me personally k)) it makes it easier.

I upgraded to the room with panoramic view and it was beautiful view as the other standard room overlooks the parking in the back Comfortable and clean . Excellent location to visit everything and magnificent view . Attached are photos from our room in the day and at night You could park for free in the surrounding street

The breakfast itself was very good but 20 min before the end of breakfast staff were removing and restocking plates and dishes for lunch buffet . Made for a noisy environment as if we are in the kitchen .

The location is awesome. Just 15 mins walk to the mosque-cathedral and the old part of the town. The view of the mosque, especially at night, is great. The hotel rooms are big enough and very clean. The beds are also comfortable. The breakfast includes a wide variety of standard things like cheese, coffee, egg, and pantries, and I think it is worth the price.

In our rooms, there was absolutely nothing except the towles, soap and shampoo dispensers. I wonder how, in a 4-star hotel, there is no bath cap, no slippers, no cutton buds, no kettle, and therefore no teabag or coffee. The warm section of the breakfast is very small and not that much appealing. We stayed there for 4 nights, and the change in the breakfast options was not clear to me.

The room were clean, comfortable and a reasonable size. We chose the hotel because of its location to the main sights . A gentle 10minute walk away. The breakfast buffet was good and plenty of it. The roof-top bar is a must just for the vews .The pool is small but when we were there very few people were using it. Which was good for us. I I would have no problem using this hotel again should we ever return

coffee/tea facilities in the room would have been appreciated.
