Hotel Rural La Vida de Antes

The antique elegance of the property is fabulous. The house has so much history and the mix of old and new throughout is brilliant. Our room (or rather suite as we had a parlour, bedroom and bathroom) was perfect with very modern bathroom fittings. The bedside light fittings whilst looked old had integral USB charge points. The breakfast was also special with a range of hams, cheeses, tortilla, breads, croissants, homemade cakes and homemade orange marmalade. Staff were really friendly and helpful, providing restaurant suggestion that we could go with our dog (strongly recommend Gaudy restaurant).

We have now stayed here on four separate occasions as we journey across Spain. The facilities are excellent, comfortable room, this one had fridge and microwave, pleasant inner first floor common area and an outdoor area in the summer. There is secure parking and our dog is made very welcome at a small extra charge. Breakfast is an excellent spread of local produce. Eating out is no problem as the hotel is in a quiet area but close enough to the centre to access other restaurants but why bother when after a tiring days travel you can pop into el Retorno for an excellent meal with local specialities.

Fantastic boutique hotel in great location, the pool was a welcome sight after a day sightseeing around Consuegra and the La Mancha windmills. The staff are friendly and helpful and offered great advice on restaruants and places to visit. Free parking is avialable on the street but limited to first in best dressed. Breakfast was excellent and had a large selection of edibles and coffee a machine.

We loved this beautifully furnished, carefully run hotel. Blanca on Reception was fantastic - very helpful and friendly. Rooms were gorgeous. We booked our return journey North as we enjoyed our stay travelling South so much. Breakfasts were very good, with a lovely display of fresh and appealing choices on offer.

The hotel is in a Spanish house with a lot of character and located in the middle of the village just a 15 minute walk to the windmills on the hill. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Free public parking was available 200 meters from the hotel.

Charming hotel, good location. Staff very attentive 10+. Dog friendly. We really appreciated the possibility to dine and have breakfast with a dog in the library room. Secure parking only 20 meters from the hotel. Nice view to the molinos

Just to remind there is no lift in the hotel. We didn't mind, but it's good to know.

Perfect position for discovering the little town the hotel was quirky the rooms were clean and the bathrooms had been upgraded. There is a very small pool which I went for a dip and about 6 sun loungers it’s in a court yard which is very pretty. This is the second time I’ve stayed here.

No parking you have to fall lucky to get a parking spot near hotel

What a great find - lovely hotel, perfectly located to see the famous windmills and castle. The hotel's restaurant has a good reputation but was closed on the Monday evening we were there - as was almost every other restaurant in town!!!!

Good position with private parking nearby. Lovely old character building with fantastic restaurant attached.

Could do with complimentary bottles of water in the room.
