staff were friendly and helpful. beautiful courtyard.

breakfast was overcrowded - especially around the small counter with food. it would be could if they spread it out. We paid €165 per night- at that price I think tea/coffee should be free as in most other hotels that we visited (they charge €1.25 to make it yourself in the lounge).

This hotel is really one of a kind - a tranquil oasis surrounded by banana plantations and stunning scenery. Its far removed (thank goodness) from large 5 star resort hotels and was fully booked with like minded travellers (mainly couples). Reallty friendly and helpful staff, excellent housekeeping, and good breakfasts. A great place to enjoy warm and sunny winter weather without going anywhere near built up resorts.

There is a restaurant on site - and whilst the standard of food is good, the capacity of the kitchen is limited, However Garachico is only 5 minutes drive away with lots of OK restaurants.

I booked a superior room, booking.com said it had a terrace, but it didn't. Room was not too cozy, and there were lots of ants in shower. Next to this, I do not understand that they don't even put a ventilator in the rooms. I understand an airco is too big of an investment, but a ventilator, come on.. It was too hot at night, for a hotel of this price range it's a shame.

The feeling of comfortable silence. The rustic rural atmosphere of the hotel was very enjoyable. The location is good for touring. The staff were ALL female and had excellent attitudes, extremely helpful, always smiling and ready to share experiences and details about Tenerife.

I didn't like that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, it is always enjoyable to have a hot drink at the start/end of the day. One does not want to walk across a courtyard no matter how lovely just for a hot drink. I was unhappy with the blasé attitude to our reporting that we had a sinkfull of ants each morning, "well they come and go" was the comment. I also think that the hotel signs on the approach should be renewed as they are not easy to see, especially as the turn into the complex is easily passed by.

The location is absolutely beautiful. Located between the banana plantation and a pool with a beautiful view towards the mountains. Rooms are clean. Contact with El Patio was easy. Breakfast was also very nice with lots of choice. The staff is very friendly and helpful!

- It's possible to have dinner at the hotel. However, during 'rush hour', it's greatly understaffed and you might need to wait quite a while. Nevertheless, the staff working tried their absolute best and stayed friendly. - We asked to have breakfast a bit earlier due to an early activity (7.15am). We were happy to hear this was possible. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost 30 minutes before someone showed up and had only 5 minutes left before we had to leave.

What's not to like! The hotel and the surrounding area are gorgeous. We could hardly leave the courtyard as it is so lovely. The estate is so quiet and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

If I was going to be picky, the quite basic evening food and lack of other food options after breakfast is a small minus to make it 9/10. However there are lounge areas and fridge storage for food and drinks you have bought yourself. Tearing tourself away from the hotel to go to the shops is the struggle! We stayed in a room 600m from the hotel and they are quite bare, but in an acceptably rustic way. Not even a box of tissues in the room.

Hotel Patio is a beautiful hotel set in a stunning location within a banana plantation with sea views. There is a steep drive down to the hotel. It has extensive outside areas which include a large courtyard with palm trees and seating areas, gardens, an outdoor pool, outdoor sports area with tennis court, table tennis, croquet area. The hotel and area has a lot of interesting history. There is a short walk to the sea through the banana plantation. There is an incredible rock pool for swimming so ask how to get there. There is no accessible beach within walking distance. The breakfast is served in a room looking out to sea and there is a good selection of food, although we would have liked to see more fresh fruit.

We booked a room for 2 adults and a teenage child so were expecting a room for three from the information on booking.com. Once we had booked, it turned out to be a double room so we had to request a single bed in the room rather than 3 of us sleeping in a double bed. The room was too small for 3 people and was not what we thought we had paid for. The hotel don't have control over this, so booking.com should be clearer about what they are offering. On Fridays and Saturdays the hotel offers food from the small bar/restaurant area. The food was very salty and expensive so would recommend instead walking up to the restaurant at the top of the hill - the CoFradia del Mar el Guincho or a short drive to the old town of Garachico where there are several restaurants.

Beautiful property, even though it was much larger than were expecting with quite a few rooms. It's located on a banana farm and is very quiet. We appreciated the restaurant on site with a very nice, friendly waiter. We also found a few good restaurants in Garachico, the closest town. Our room was basic but very quiet and comfortable enough. Breakfast seemed like a good spread of different things, but since we're vegan, not many choices for us, almost none at all. The location worked for us, it was relativly close to everything we planned to visit.

The rooms are a bit outdated and very basic. The water in the shower was lukewarm at best. We told the receptionist and were told it was fixed, but it wasn't. There was no wifi in the room. Again, we asked about this at reception and were given a password for an open network, so again, we couldn't connect. Finally, we gave up and used our roaming when we needed to go online which was disapoining to say the least. We felt the reception staff was not very responsive. Big breakfast spread with almost no vegan options. They had soy milk at least, but we had to ask for it.

The hotel is in the middle of a banana plantation which makes for an interesting although isolated location. The hotel covers a large area and has lovely areas to sit out and enjoy the evening. The breakfast was generally good but it is an advantage to arrive fairly early to ensure a good selection of choices.

The rooms are adequate but best described as spartan. It would be easy to address this by adding a chair to each room, perhaps something to rest your case on rather than the floor and even some pictures on the walls would have softened the atmosphere.

The quiet location. The relaxed atmosphere Rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable. It was good to have extra space with the room - a terrace. The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. Good walks near the hotel The pool area was good too.

It's difficult to find the hotel and get into the hotel grounds when arriving in the dark. The gates are closed and you need to call reception using your unreliable mobile signal. Better instructions would be very helpful or a working intercomm'. Two early morning power cuts in 7 nights. The last one on the day we left. Doing final checks and packing in the dark isn't the best. It's still worth it though.
