Nicholas (the owner) is a great host, knows how to welcome a guest. Also, the other members of staff are friendly and willing to help. We arrived earlier than the scheduled check in, Nicholas provided a locker to store our bags, in the meantime our room was ready. Superb location, right in the centre of Cadiz. The room was cozy and characterful. At breakfast, you can make your own pancake. Milk, coffee, teas, cereals and some fruit also provided.

My bed was super comfortable. Unfortunately, the other one it was less, with a thin matress. The WiFi network worked only in the ground floor area. I wasn't able to connect from my room.

Most of all: ATMOSPHERE / PEOPLE. Both, staff and guests were friendly. Because of the people I met there (we were spending time together, including going to the beach, lunch, etc), I extended my stay from 2 to 4 days. :) The owner who really seems to care about his guests and creating friendly atmosphere there. It was really cool to see pictures and hear the story of how this place was created by him. FREE BREAKFAST, including pancakes! It is always appreciated and with pancakes and fruits it reached the higher level. :) It was also good opportunity to know the guests and staff. ACTIVITIES, such as evening dinner, salsa, windsurfing classes. (However it is quite expensive (around 7 EUR), especially if I would like to join something each day or more.) COZY design, big round table in the kitchen, terrace with hammocks. Very good LOCATION, few minutes walk from main square. I rarely give the rate "9" - here it is, because of the above. :)

The ROOM was overwhelming - triple bunk beds and no proper window. In general, it could be renewed (as the whole place as well), still with this cozy vibe. Quite expensive activities/ dinner offered by the hostel. As I was working remotely, there was not really a comfortable, peacful place for this, especially if there was a need for the call meeting. Honestly, I do not remember if there was a free tea and coffee+milk, but this is always appreciated if there is. - If there is, please ignore this point. :)

The location and the atmosphere in the place are great. It's very calm and peaceful. Loved the rooftop, the proximity to the beach and center Lot of equipments that are very well thought (mini lockers, bathrooms outside of the rooms if yours is busy, place to store your luggage, good kitchen) They recycle and pay great attention to saving water which I really liked Mostly the staff is really nice, they organize dinners, bar on the rooftop, yoga classes, dance classes... In overall it is like being at home, I highly recommend this place.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The facilities are pretty standard and nothing special. But the vibes are exceptional. Staff were ridiculously friendly from the moment I arrived allowing for an early check in and free pancake Brekky on arrival. I felt like a part of the family. Amazing activities run everyday and family dinners on the rooftop were awesome. Breakfast every morning was free and exceptional. Can’t fault this hostel they are authentic and communal like a big family.

I didn't know the breakfast was included, but it as served in the morning and was amazing! Fresh pancakes and muesli along with some coffee. The staff was super helpful, especially Carmen who was at the reception during our stay. She agreed we could come back during the day to have a shower. She even lent us clean towels and shampoo!

There was noise coming from the street and we didn't find out how to use the blind.

The staff is amazing! The local person that checked me in was super welcoming and helpful and gave me a recommendation for the perfect evening-walk to see the city! But also the Irish volunteer was incredibly nice and made me a coffee as I had to leave before the official breakfast time started. She didn't even work on that day! Also the whole place was just so cute and nice and heartwarming! I'd definitely stay longer if I'd have more time!!

Great hostel in an excellent location. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and made my stay a lovely experience. Shared meal nights were lovely and a chance to have some tasty food and a nice chat with people, as were some of the impromptu music jams after eating! Roof terrace was a great place to chill out; I definitely spent some time snoozing in the hammocks up there on a couple of afternoons.

The location is perfect. Within walking distance to the main centre, restaurants, shops. Was nice to have a private room with private bathroom in a youth hostel with pretty reasonable rates. Staff were friendly. The owner chatted with us as we were checking out & gave us tips of what to see & do around the area. He also mentioned that they have another building with private rooms & bathrooms just few metres away. Hope to be able to come back & stay there too.

We like everything really. But just to make people aware - this is not a place for people with mobility issues. We have to climb up stairs to get to the bedroom & the bed in our room. The place was packed so kinda hard to find time to cook in the shared kitchen when everyone is trying to do the same. If you're coming with car, you can't drive closer to the hostel but there's a private parking 5min walk away. (interparking €19.95 for 24hours or €14.95 for 24hours on the app)

This place was wonderful! SUCH a good vibe all around. You won't want to leave! They have a what's app group, a table where everyone sits together for meals, and it's super easy to make friends. A big thank you to all of the staff at Casa Caracol that make it such a charming place to be!

Everything was pretty great! This isn't really a critique but more of an idea- I know a lot of travelers were really interested in practicing their Spanish (or other languages). I wonder if there could be some kind of language exchange organized! It might be a nice way to lean into inclusivity even more (especially since some of the guests aren't as comfortable in English as others) and celebrate the diversity of Casa Caracol guests:)

The stuff was very helpful with everything I needed to know. Also they have the best winter duvet I’ve even seen in Spain - so comfy and warm! The rooftop terrace is just so peaceful, I enjoyed both evenings in the hammock 🫶🏻 Also didn’t know about the free breakfast which was soooo delicious and really nice environment ❣️
