Hotel Octavia

The location is unbeatable - 150 metres from the beach and across the road from basic amenities. We could go to the beach for a while, then go back to our room, shower and head out for lunch, come back for a nap, and then go back to the beach. It made going to the beach very comfortable. The air-conditioning was a reprieve from the unrelenting heat this year.

The staff are nice, but I wonder if they get paid enough or if they get enough time off. I don't like fake niceness, but they are little more than polite. As a guest I'm get really excited to go on a well-earned break, so it would be nice if the staff at the reception desk were generally a little more cheery and engaging.

The Hotel Octavia was excellent! The place was a great location, two minutes from the sea & a 6-7 min walk from the train station. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially the young woman, Yanfir(?). Hotel was right across from an excellent supermarket. Great stay!

Construction noisy outside across the street for a day - but back to ‘quiet’ normal afterwards.

Perfect location, it is good that hotel offers parking space , as it will be difficult to find one on the street nearby in busy season, room size ideal for family of 3 . Big bathroom. friendly staff . Nothing to complain, we will be back definitely.

1- The absence of lower stickers for the automatic sliding glass door (my son literally ran into the door, your stickers are too hight - just eye level for adults, not children). The rooms aace the backyard which is great, but there is a lot of noise and music from the bar across the backyard, and a lot of noise and swearing people there (not guests).

LOCATION was in good proximity to town and it was just a beautiful town to be in. I flew in from Paris to Barcelona and made my way to Cadaques via train then bus. Loved the town and the hotel was great.

There was a noise in the vent that was a little distracting, but it was not enough to bother mentioning at the time.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this property- especially after staying in Barcelona- it is really good value.

We didn’t get twin beds which showed as being available through booking.com and was requested when we made the booking months ago. Booking.com needs to take some responsibility as this seems to happen a lot through this website

Nice hotel with very friendly staff just a few steps to iconic Cadaques beaches and restaurants. The room was nice, clean and quite; comfy beds and rich breakfast with unlimited coffee. 10euros a day for a parking nearby (it is difficult to park in Cadaqués).

Location, hotel rooms, breakfast, value for money, staff. Overall, great hotel that I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Small parking at the hotel without the possibility to book it in advance. Nevertheless, the hotel provides you with the possibility to park a another parking, 7min walk from the hotel, at the same price.

Good location. Friendly staff. Note: car park is the big one. TURN LEFT OUT OF HOTEL THEN BEAR LEFT UP AN ALLEY AND IT IS ON YOUR RIGHT. Not one of the other smaller private parks. Get a ticket then hand it to the hotel receptionist and they will issue you with a new one at a much lower price. Barrier recognises your car registration and the fact you paid via the hotel and lets you out automatically.

Location was very good, easy access to shops, beach and many restaurants. Comfy large room and great shower and bath, could see the sea from the balcony.

The parking around the hotel is street parking and very tight. Once you find a spot it's best to leave the car where it is if you can otherwise you can be circling for ever. A shame there is no bar, there's plenty of room for one, so why not?
