Bilder Boutique Hotel

I stayed at the hotel and I can say that it met my expectations. The journey to the hotel was by bus from the airport (costing 3 euros) and then an Uber (costing 9 euros) because I didn't want to walk 10 minutes at 11:00pm. The room had good sound insulation and the bed was comfortable. During the weekend, we decided to visit the city on foot, which was not a problem, as all the tourist spots were at most 15 minutes away. Overall, the hotel met my expectations and did not disappoint in any aspect.

Unfortunately, my reservation resulted in the room having two single beds instead of a double bed, which I assume was an error on my part.

We stayed for a week at the Bilder hotel and felt so comfortable there. Huge, comfy bed, spotlessly clean room and fabulous shower! Brilliant, effective air-con. The staff at reception are really friendly, speak good English and were really helpful with anything we asked about busses, trams, local area, etc. The location couldn’t be more perfect - everywhere is in a short walking distance, lots of cafes and bars nearby and very easy to jump on a tram (or walk) to places such as the Guggenheim museum (a MUST visit!!)

Our room faced inwards so had no view to the street, however it didn’t impact on our stay at all - the room was so quiet (4th floor)

Location is great - right in Casco Viejo, 5min walk from the train station, and still was able to get a rested nights' sleep. Our room was really quiet, even facing the street. Clearly the building went through major refurbishment to build the hotel, and everythings is fresh new, carefully maintained and beautiful. The hotel staff are welcoming! Amenities are ecological and great.

Breakfast is poor - not a buffet (ok), but no variety (no fruit or yoghurt), butter packages were damaged (if there was a problem with the supplier, throw away everything), benedict eggs were horribly undercooked (whites where as liquid as the yolks). These are unacceptable mistakes for what seems to be an upscale restaurant. Don't book breakfast - there are great pastry shops around town, but be aware that on sundays a lot of things are closed in the city, so plan ahead.

Location is really good, in the old town. 30 sec walk from the subway and also 30 sec walk from plaza nueva. Staff is friendly. Hotel is beautiful and looks brand new and fresh, it is beautifully decorated. The room is beautiful too and spacious. Well equipped bathroom with rain shower. Everything was super clean.

This is no complaint but just something I think that would be nice: -the room doesn't have a mini bar or fridge. -Bilbao is a very Rainy city so a coat hanger would be nice for your wet jacket The restaurant of the hotel looks super nice but I had one breakfast and unfortunately it was really bad :(

The location was brilliant at the edge of the Old Town &, very central to all sites. A modern, clean & comfortable hotel. It was handy having a kettle in the room with some tea & coffee facilities. No fridge though. Amazed at how quiet it was considering the central position.Theres a lovely, recently opened, bar/cafe/restaurant next door where you could have breakfast, pintxos (tapas) & wine & good quality food all very reasonably priced. We were two minutes from a large square with bars & restaurants surrounding it too which was good. Lovely walk by the river to the Guggenheim. Also took the bus to San Sebastian (1 hour 10 mins) definitely worth a visit. The Barik card (like an oyster card) is worth investing in at 3€ as it saves on all transport fares & on the funicular. We really enjoyed our stay in Bilbao.

The long sausage style pillows took a bit of getting used to.

We took the bus from the airport to the center of town and then walked to the hotel. We were able to check-in early and were greeted by a friendly man at reception. He gave us a map and pointers for where to walk and things to see. So nice! Our room faced the street. With the windows closed, you couldn't hear anything from the street. We tried the air conditioning and it worked--even in the winter! Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. We asked for an extra pillow in the evening and the front desk was accommodating--bringing us one right after our request. The bathroom was large and we had no problems with the shower--always hot water. The hotel doesn't have breakfast, but we found places to eat around the hotel. Check-out was super easy. We loved staying here---great location!

We loved everything!

Perfect location, lovely and helpful staff. Very new, clean well designed room, spacious enough, we had a small balcony overlooking the walking street (just big enough to stand on, not sit). Very good wifi, airco and shower pressure. Metro around the corner, but Bilbao is very easy to walk around. We enjoyed staying here a lot!

The bed was very hard, some might like that, some might not. We missed a proper coffee maker in the room, there is a water kettle and instant coffee. As said before, no fridge in the room, we didn’t mind. We had breakfast once and that was enough. Lot’s of nicer places to go to in old town!

We were so pleasantly surprised by this lovely room, especially for what we paid. The room was large and spacious, modern, and clean. Bed was very comfy and bathroom was a great size with a large shower. The location was absolutely excellent, just on the edge between new and old town with plenty of breakfast cafes and pintxos bars around. We heard no noise from the street, even being in a busy area. The AC worked perfectly on a hot day. The staff were excellent and held our bags when we left. We would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was excellent, but perhaps a fridge in the room would have been nice. That’s being picky though!

I have been traveling for 2 weeks, have been staying for 2 days in many different cities hotels/countries and I can say that this hotel was the best during my vacation trip. It’s very modern, super great location, 1 minutes from the metro station, located in the center, 15 -20 minutes by foot from the Guggenheim museum and close to all churches, restaurants , parks and the the river. I didn’t book a breakfast but there are a lot of nice cafes just 1 minute away and it was even better that I can go there. Cafe Bilbao is the best! The hotel is very new, modern and very cozy spacious rooms with different lights and nice bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much!

Excellent hotel, perfectly located in the city to walk around downtown. Room was clean, bed comfortable, wifi working perfectly. Would come back again.

The view from the room is poor as you see next room / wall (internal room), but actually I did not need it - so no problem for me. Breakfast could be better, as there are just few options possible (different types of eggs) - breakfast is served. You can have only one coffee, and only one glass of orange juice. This should be improved, as breakfast is not cheap.
