La Posada del Conde

Restaurant was not available for meals except breakfast which was excellent, due to COVID. There were a few very good restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly and professional.

There was a problem with our air conditioning unit which wasn’t fixed during our stave, under to COVID. We were offer an alternative room which we declined as it was twin beds only.

Great location, the hotel was nice , the room was spacious and it had a stunning view.The breakfast was good but a bit limited in terms of options. The reception staff were all very helpful and friendly . Easy to get to pretty much anything, the water park, restaurant and shops and starting point towards Caminito del Rey are all walking distance.

The downside was that the hotel closes over night so if you're staying out longer something to keep in mind. There was a phone number outside that you could ring if the doors were locked but got a little bit worried when got back and it all seemed closed and had to wait a little bit until someone came and open the door.

We stayed here whilst walking the Gran Circuito de Malaga. The outstanding thing about this hotel was the amazing service that we received from the receptionist Gregorio. We didn't have plans to walk el Camino del Rey bit Gregorio informed us that we could buy tickets and do the walk the next day. So, we decided to do it, and Gregorio brought our luggage to the next hotel. Just amazing kindness. In addition, the hotel was very nice and our room was large and comfortable. There was a very good restaurant in the hotel and also a very cheap bar close by to grab beers and wines.

Good location for hiking the Caminito Del Rey. Our room had beautiful views from both sides. Room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. We decided to have our dinner at the hotel after the hike and it was fantastic. We absolutely loved their zucchini soup!

We were given an old fashion key to our room. We had a hard time opening the door because our key didn't work properly or was it the door knob...not sure. Our breakfast was standard but the service was incredibly slow. There should be more than one server for a room of 14 or so. Most people like ourselves would like to eat early and start our day since we have limited amount of travel time. To no fault of the server because she was the same server we had last night. She was awesome. Management needs to improve on this part.

We loved that we picked this spot to stay to hike/walk the Caminito Del Rey. We were the first tickets in the morning so it was nice to wake up, eat breakfast, and walk right to the entrance without having to worry about taking the bus. It was super easy to take the train to El Chorro and the bus to the hotel both before and after the trek. Do pay attention to the bus/train times though to make sure you don't accidentally get stranded!

The breakfast was okay...there weren't any options it was what they gave you and it seemed a bit overpriced compared to the quality/quantity elsewhere.

It is located a short walk from the caminito del ray entrance. with a public, free, parking lot next by. staying here enables starting the caminito early when it is not hot and there are less people. The staff was super nice and explained everything there is to know about how to get to the trail and what to expect. our room had a beautiful view over a forested valley. They have their own restaurant, and maybe one more restaurant near by. other then that, nothing around but beautiful nature and an historic dam

tea / coffee making facilities would have been nice. if not in the room then in the lobby. I was not feeling well when I got there and would have really liked to stay in bed with a cup of tea

Probably the most convenient place to stay if you want to visit el Caminito del Rey. We had tickets for the afternoon, but learned upon arrival, that the caminito was closed due to bad weather! Imagine our disappointment! But since we were staying in el Posada del Conde, we had a chance to visit the next morning! I am so glad we had planned to stay there. The hotel also has secure parking and a restaurant with kind and helpful staff. who are from the area and some who can tell you stories from their childhood there! Thank you and yes wishes to everyone!

The check-in agent (a man with long-ish hair) was a superstar. He really was fabulous; he greeted us warmly, he took the time to explain everything to us, and he gave us very detailed and insightful tips how to make the best of our trip to Caminito del Rey. This hotel is the closest you can get to the North Entrance of Caminito Del Rey. It's about a 20 minute walk from the hotel to the entrance. We also dined. Don Pedro was an awesome waiter! There's a parking lot just to the left of the hotel. We used it, and had no problems whatsoever.

We enjoyed our stay, the room for a couple faces mountain view was great and large. The location of the hotel is great with a short distance of walk to the trial head of Comino Del Rey trail. The breakfast was good and the gentleman worked hard and served us in a timely manner. We were able to find free parking next to the hotel. There is an elevator.

The room for a single person did not have a view and also is very small. Wish there is tap water supply in the lobby for guest to fill their water bottles.

Excellent location for those visiting Carminito del Rey. It is about 6-8 minutes walk to the two tunnels that start your journey to the Carminito del Rey Reception Centre. The tunnel just right of the El Kiosko restaurant traits about 50 minutes. The tunnel for the shorter route (20 minutes) is just 200 metres further south of the tunnel for the longer route. Once you have collected your helmet & hair net & receive a brief safety speech, the purpose walk commences and is said 5 km (approximately 1.5 hours). The staff say the hotel (especially "Gregorio" at the reception desk was super friendly and helpful with advice. The restaurant was ok too for the evening meal - tasty food but relatively small portions. Prices are slightly higher given its location. Rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is a bit dated but has loads of character.

One of the bed mattresses were a bit soft. The TV has limited channels - all Spanish.
