Balneario de Archena - Hotel Levante

The pools were great, along with all the rest of the facilities. It was good for both adults and children. The access to the pools was reasonable as it was still possible after checkout. There were plenty of additional things as well that could be paid for, and pretty much everything that you needed was available on-site.

The standard seemed a little more like a 3* than a 4*, and a lot of the staff that we had contact with were not particularly happy. It wasn’t a problem for us, but some people may not have liked the distance to the pools (about a 5-10 minute walk), and the fact that breakfast was in a different building.

The location is beautiful and the swimming pools are wonderful. We come here every year and have said for ages that we wanted to stay overnight, it really didn't disappoint.

Eating was a little complicated for us. We are a vegetarian family and the written information was a little difficult to follow. One member of staff was particularly helpful and that helped us find where we could eat our evening meal. That being said there was still not much choice. Breakfast the next morning was really good though.

We had a fantastic stay, the spa was great fun you just couldn't not smile and laugh whilst floating along the moving river just loved this. We ate in the thermas restaurant none of us left a crumb on our plates. The breakfast was lovely and great choices we really stuffed ourselves. The staff were polite and helpful even after I knocked a glass of red wine over the lovely table cloth and my husband !!! We went to the casino bar and joined in the dancing with the locals. After reading previous reviews I was unsure what to expect I am so delighted we had this experience. We can't understand why people complained the food was spanish and delicious just what you expect in Spain. We stayed in the spa until 3pm the next day after checking out. Bring your own towels flip flops bathing caps and a small padlock for the locker. Just emerse yourself relax and enjoy!!!!

If I had to complain about something the only thing I could say is that the massage room could have been a bit warmer. We were in room 220 we had a nice view of the Chapel my friends were in 221 with a view of a wall but we didn't spend much time there so it wasn't important to us

A great place to relax and visit the thermal springs. Breakfast is not varied, but everything is fresh and tasty. After the pools and sauna it's nice to relax in your room rather than driving back home. Access to the pool is open until the end of the day of departure.

The room was too humid

On arrival, I was not familiar with things but Jesús on reception was very friendly and helpful and made me feel really welcome. The breakfast was really nice... plenty of choice and a nice spacious dining room.

I had to ask where the breakfast room was... there was no mention in the literature (that I could find) that we had to go to the other hotel for breakfast.

Spa was perfect and the rooms were lovely. We would return despite some of the negatives listed below.

The food was ok but nothing special. We ate in 3 of the restaurants on site. The staff in the hotel and restaurants were not trained and did not know the menus/basics of their jobs. Service was sometimes slow. The beds were creaky.

The hotel levante was clean and a very comfortable bed. 👌 the bathroom had everything in it you require. The pools were immaculate. Lovely gardens and well maintained

I didn't like having to pay 8 euro per day for parking the car when you are paying to stay at the hotel Also no free cold water fountains

Everything was very good. I particularly like the fact you pay one fee and have access to the thermals as many times as you like rather than restricted times. The only time you do this is if you’re booking specific treatments on the circuit. Was feeling a little unwell for my restaurant dinner one evening so ordered room service. Quality of the food and presentation was excellent as was the price €10. Grounds are lovely to walk around. Plenty of shady spots in hot weather.

Not easy to find and more drop-off points please (it looked like they were expanding the parking while we were there). We checked-in at 15:00 along with everyone else - only one member of staff on the desk so it took longer than it should have.

The ambience of the street with the hotels, the casino plaza, the cats, the pools

The chirringuito is understaffed and the tables are dirty with wasps everywhere. They need a picnic area and not just the chirringuito, as you cannot eat and drink in the area of the playa.

The thermal pools were lovely and it was a great experience to relax in the grounds. The three hotels here form a little village and it’s lovely being able to walk around in your robes for the day. Loved the casino bar for snacks and a drink as the setting is gorgeous.

Hotel Levante itself was nice, the rooms were a little noisy but all in all a pleasant stay. Queue for check in took twenty mins to get to head of queue should be two staff members checking in guests around 3pm as was super busy. Went for dinner at the hotel opposite Hotel Termas (as Levante does not have a restaurant) and it was the worst meal have had in a very long time and completely overpriced at €25 a head for what we had (my main course as a vegetarian was an omelette that was so small it wouldn’t suffice at breakfast let alone dinner). It’s a shame as felt the meal options were very limited but I would highly recommend breakfast at the casino (coffe, juice, tostada) and lunch and dinner at the thermal spa restaurant is lovely.
