Toyoko Inn Seoul Yeongdeungpo

Comfortable rooms and the location was really great. It is outside the centre, but metro is nearby, so it will be quick to get to the main attractions. There is also a convenience store next door and if you want some authentic cuisine, nearby there is a really cool local area with restaurants and bars (won’t tell where, just look around ;) ) Rooms are decent size. As an European, room size felt quite okay, it is not huge, but it is totally fine (saw some notes about it in reviews, so wanted to assure that it is fine). Never had asian style breakfast before, but it was amazing! Super tasty!

Overall it was nice. Maybe some wardrobe would be handy in the room. We stayed for a week and would be nice to store the clothes somewhere. Otherwise - nothing to say.

Korean breakfast was excellent with rotating main dishes and soups. Though western-style breakfast was on the simple side with toast, cereal, boiled eggs, and two beverages, it certainly did its job of filling hungry travelers. The hotel also provided two bottles of water every day along with fresh towels. Wifi worked with no hitch.

If they can extend their free coffee service at least for another hour until 11am, it would be great. And for overseas travelers like me who arrive without in-country coverage (there was a hiccup with my US cell phone service provider), I would like the hotel to offer domestic calls from a guest room at fee.

Thanks to the receptionist, Ms Seula Jeong,1 I had a great experience. She was impressive, very polite, friendly and really helpful. I would definitely come back because of her. When Ms Jeong knew that I didn't feel well in my room and it was too cold to go out for eating with heavy snow. She helped me ordered food delivery with Korean app, even if it was difficult to find one due to the bad weather. However, she managed to do it. I felt much better mentally and physically (after being hungry for the whole day the food made me engetic again) with her help. Apart from having excellent people skills Ms Jeong has remarkable time management skills. She helped me out when she had to handle many other guests at the same time during the busy hours. Compare to Ms Jeong the guest service of other receiptionist in pink uniform of another day was not that persuasive. That receiptionist replied guests only with she was busy after receiving request. Ms Jeong turned my review for your hotel from a negative impression up to a big positive one. I would definitely recommend colleagues, friends and family to choose Toyoko Inn, especially if all the staff could be as good as Ms Jeong. I used to work at a top luxury brand Hotel Group and am very familiar with the standards of the best guests satisfaction. Nowadays the difference between facilities is getting smaller, but people became the one of the most influential factors for choosing hotels. Staffs like Ms Jeong are always being valued from us as guests. Ms Jeong was absolutely the highlight of my Seoul trip. I stayed at Toyoko Inn in Busan too. They all are in general very friendly, helpful and relaxed. Seoul's receptionists appeared to be under more pressure perhaps because of cold weather or fast pace of life (I'm not sure why exactly), but as I said Ms Jeong can still nail it.

It would be great if more wall sockets as well as fast charger for USB sockets are provided.

Breakfast was included, but after trying it out the first day, I skipped the second day breakfast, it was a tad bare. The rooms were tidy, although a little outdated, the wallpaper looked like it needed some work. The air conditioning worked, the room was a great size for a single traveler, and I'd probably stay again, just because it was affordable and near subway stations and the buses. Didn't realize when booking at the time, but there was an airport bus stop nearby, so I didn't have to take the subway!

Getting to the hotel entrance was a little cumbersome, there is no clear sidewalk. There was a bike shop, and the cars and bikes were parked on the street in front of it, so you had to sorta walk around the shop and on the street.

Perfect place for visit for three to six days Seoul. The personal is very friendly and the place is really excellence to visit the city of Seoul and see some attractions from there. Very close to the subway and some interesting areas. The receptionist could help me aus with the difficult flight booking and I was very glad about that. Despite other places I was very happy with you breakfast in this hotel.

I did think about it, but I didn't find any points that were not sufficent enough.

Very comfortable bed! Even if you don't get your room clean, they still leave new towels and water everyday at your front door. Nice to C U store right around the corner. Hotel is located between the 2 stations, 1 is about 6 mins walk and 1 is about 10 mins walk. Only 10 mins walk to mains shopping, food and cafes area. There is a park very close by. Korean breakfast was really good.

Room little small but was not a problem for me. 4pm check in, staff won't even allowed me to check in 20 mins early...but again that's ok.

Really good hotel with everything that you need. The room is small but the design is genius. This room as pretty much everything that I find in 4 star hotels with the addition that it works flawlessly. Rain shower, bathtub, Japanese style toilet, hair dryer, etc. Comfortable and big bed for single room is a nice to have. Impeccable clean and free available room cleaning every day if desired (something not every 3 star hotel offers). Also, the breakfast was included and had a good variety of Korean style and some basic international style options. For a quick breakfast its more than enough. Location is great as well. Money for value is 10/10.

If you have noisy neighbors you will have some issues sleeping. The noise isolation towards the street is great, however, neighbors who do not respect other guests rest could be bothersome. Luckily, I did not have any problems. Additionally, check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. These unusual times can be a bit of a hassle, but it is not a really big problem.

I stayed two times at the Toyoko Inn Seoul Yeongdeungpo during my travel to Korea. One night after arrival and two nights at the end of the trip before departure and both times I was satisfied. One reason why I choosed this hotel was the location close to the Singil Metro Station. It is easy to get to the airport or to the city center of Seoul. Room was clean and had everything I needed (even a safe where I can store my tablet). Value for money is good and breakfast is included.

Check-in time at 4 p.m. is quite late - but you can store your luggage at reception and explore Seoul until check-in time.

great breakfasts, though dining area is too small, there were moments with all tables in use. While it’s not in the touristic center, in Seoul you’ll use metro to get anywhere anyways. We spent few nights in hostel in myongdong, but we started each day with a metro ride anyway… so when choosing location in Seoul focus on the breakfast :)

only one coffee machine, small rooms… but those are small inconveniences, if I’m back in Seoul I’ll pick this hotel anyway because breakfasts.

The bed was very very good,it was clean and cleaned every day. The Breakfast was healthy with rice and Korean side dishes and for people who like boring,there is bread butter,jam and egg. I loved the Japanese toilet. Many hotels offer a shower over the toilet, but this one was very well organised with a small extra shower space. They provide enough towels and also night ware. The area is quite and near the Singil Station and two stations to Hanriver Park.

I actually hated the check-in at 4pm policy. And I checked in at 3pm but to get the card I had to wait an hour after a long flight and 24 less sleep. And then there was a line at 4pm again and I had to wait behind many people eventhough I paid and only needed the card. Staff was not very efficient and maybe tiered. But the hotel is marvellous for the price and I would stay again and again there.
